I know you can do it with launcherpro, but I want to keep the sense launcher. I'm rooted so I can modify something if I need to. I'm hoping theres just another app I can download to do what I what.

Unless I'm crazy I remember being able to create custom field labels for the phone and email info in the original people app (all contacts are Google type) on my Incredible. If I created them on my phone; they showed up in my Gmail contacts. If I created them in Gmail contacts; they showed up on phone.
Now all I see on the people app label options are the standard ones with no option to edit/create a cutom as there was before. Is this the case after 2.2? If so I'd rather have 2.1 back. I loved that feature! Anyone else see this on their DINC?
Can i turn off the app labels in the drawer?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using a Nexus One running 2.3.4 and it looks like the gmail app version is 2.3.4.2 and I've noticed they've now incorporated the 'Important Labels' functionality into the app.
Problem is, I don't like/use/desire the important labels and now they're cluttering up my inbox view with a little yellow chevron next to the sender's name and the 'go to inbox' in the menu has moved and where it was is a 'mark important'
I had a look through the settings and I don't have priority inbox as my default, under label's there is a sync option for 'Important' which is set to 'None'.
Also I don't have the important labels for the web version of gmail proper on.
I think I may have accidentally marked one email on my phone as important (because that's where the go to inbox button was) so perhaps that's why they are showing up?
Any way to turn off/hide the important labels. Really annoyed that Google is making me find out how to opt-out of this feature rather than just asking if I wanted to opt-in
Hello everyone. Is there a feature or a check box that I am missing that allows you to turn off the little text labels beneath the application icons on the home screen? I'm kind of doubtful, but a search did not return an answer. It would certainly clean up the home screen. Plus a lot of labels are "cut off" due to length and that is just annoying.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI sync contacts with work exchange server.I am finding that contact's first and last names are randomly being switched. It's not a huge amount,but I usually find two or so a week.This has been going on for a while now and I don't see any pattern to it other than I believe it is limited to contacts that are (or have been) used in the HTC People widget.Now.I just switched to LauncherProPlus. so we'll see if this behavior continues. I was curious if anyone else has experienced this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter linking all my contacts between previous phone, Google and facebook i go to the linked section of a contact and choose which display name I want to use then hit save. Eventually the phone switches the name back to whatever it feels like. Is anybody else experiencing this issue?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWe'll this is a deal breaker for me, after being pretty happy with the RUU update and the speed improvement it brought to the stock music player.When using the turn by turn navigation, every time the voice comes in the player puts itself on pause.After the instruction is over it remains paused instead of resuming.Then I have to manually hit play again to resume playback.This is a big deal while driving since I don't want to be fidgeting with my phone every couple seconds.This was not an issue with 2.1 , since as soon as the turn by turn instruction was gone the music would automatically resume.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI Love my HTC Droid Incredible. I have no problems using the camera or moving images where I want them (Facebook, Flickr, or my PC). As I take photos, they are saved as a file name like "IMAG0029.jpg". They sequentially increment. I am fine with that.
What I would like, is, a way to re-set the embedded number to zero; either when the camera is empty (after a download), or manually.
I thought I had read something about this before, but now I can't put my finger on it. Is the initial synch between Gmail contacts and Facebook using e-mail addresses or contact names? In other words, if I'm using only first names for some contacts will it find their Facebook profiles or will I have to change the contact names to full names? My Incredible is arriving today (can't wait) and just want to know if I need to update my contacts.

Setting the "title" and "snippet" values of the OverlayItem don't seem to automatically cause these labels to appear however. I would've thought this would be a pretty simple and common requirement. View 10 Replies View RelatedWe have used a Google domain and provided mail (gmail) for some time. Have quite a number of labels in use to file things. Only a few labels I need synced to my EVO. Inbox is obvious and is at the top of the list so easy to find etc. Problem is that the 4 or 5 others that I use regularly are all down the list in alpha order. Is there anyway to reorder the list of labels to bring the sync'd ones to the top or to filter so non-synced labels do not show in the list? Or perhaps shortcuts I could build on my home page to go directly to other than inbox?
