View 5 RepliesSo every emulator on my droid works fine but GBCoid. I have all my roms in a 'Rom' file on my fone, this one says to specify bios file, which i did, even made a mock gba_bios.bin file in my rom file. Still no luck. Can anyone help me here before i kill this thing? This is the only emulator i cant get to work.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI recently got the Epic 4G and I am trying to get Gameboid to work on my Epic. It's telling me, "You MUST specify the BIOS file in the settings before you can play any games!" So I downloaded gba_bios.bin and saved it onto my SD card. How do I get the Bios mounted so I can actually use the application to play my ROMS?

I have the samsung moment from Sprint.
I'm new to android but just used the guides at this forum to root my LG Optimus V. I was wondering if now that I have root there is a way to install a boot password similar to the one I have on my computer. Before it loads the operating system, the BIOS asks for a password. Is there any similar functionality for android?
Also, is this possible on other devices even if it is not on mine? It's one of my favorite laymen security measures.
Every time someone leaves me a voicemail on my home phone number, VOIP home phone voice mail box sends me the voicemail as a .wav file attachment. When I try to play this .wav file the phone refuses, saying "Sorry, the player does not support this type of audio file".
So, I take it the .wav files cannot be played on Android phones. Has anyone found a workable and simple workaround to this yet?
Instead of physically connecting the DI to my computer through USB.I figure I should be able to perform any functions via Wi-Fi.Is there a free app for this.In short,I just wanna be able to transfer any/all files to/from the DI over Wi-Fi.Any app?

It shows the loading process but no pic.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had the Droid X keyboard installed on my Incredible, but I can't remember how I did it. With the update today, the keyboard is not working, so I uninstalled it. I got an apk file that is supposed to work on 2.2 downloaded onto my SD card, but I don't know what to do next to install the app. It's a zipped file. When I click on it (I'm using Linda File Manager), I get 2 folders. Can someone tell me what I should do next to install this keyboard. I can't live without it. It's so much better than the stock and I can't get used to Swype (which I also installed, but can't remember how).

Is there an app or camera widget that will set my taken photo names to include the date or my name or something similar?
It's tough to make sure I'm not overwriting previous photos when I copy them to my PC, and then my wife does the same with her Dinc and things are starting to get complicated. At the moment I am using a fudged solution with a DOS batch file but there has to be a much simpler way.
I opened my email and saved the attachment (which was my resume). I saved it to the phone and to the sd card but now I have no idea where it saved it. I would love to be able to access the file due to its importance but i just don't know where it is. Does anyone know how to access it?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI went into recovery and moved the VV.apk and other file to an app.disabled directory on my phone, the issue is that the icon is still in the apps section? Any reason you guys could think of as to why? Actually now that I click on it it for some reason takes me to MMS messages and the icon is just called voicemail. Can I get rid of that icon as I use google voice?
View 6 Replies View RelatedHow can we play a WAV file? I tried and it said that the format is not supported.
In addition to being a Verizonwireless customer, I am also a Verizon FIOS subscriber with FIOS Digital Voice. When a VM is left at home, an email is sent with a WAV file attachment containing the VM, but now that I upgraded to the Incredible from a Blackberry, I can no longer play these attachments.
Personally, I like City ID. I like knowing where unknown numbers are calling from. BUT the current ROM I installed has it removed. Does anyone have the apk file so I can reinstall it? I am running the new 2.2 leak.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWondering if you all could help me out; I'm probably just a bumbling idiot, but any help would be appreciated. When I connect my phone to my laptop (running Windows 7 ultimate if that helps at all) it initially had issues collecting and recognizing the drivers.I went to HTC support, didn't find exactly what I needed as far as drivers were concerned but eventually, for some reason my computer officially detected my device, its drivers, and stated that it was ready to be used. Now I go to attempt to transfer music, but there's no icon in the my computer tray saying that the phone's connected as a mass storage device. I opened up Windows Media Player and it isn't in there as a synced device either. I used the disc that came with the phone but it seems to only have an application that tracks my exact usage (as far as minutes, texts, and data as well as transferring contacts and calendars which I'm not interested in) as opposed to something that helps actually sync my device for putting music on it.Please, bear with me here. It's my first true smartphone as my previous one was a Blackberry Curve 8330. It opened the exact way I would prefer this one to: as a mass storage device.Any glaringly obvious mistakes I'm making? Or is there a problem that could be hardware related on my end?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe HTC web site claims support for .mp4 and .wmv playback but I have had no luck. I have used various programs from HandBrake to Sony and I can get audio with no video (mp4). I can get audio with still image video (wmv). The DI seems very picky as to which videos it will actually play back. Is there a recommended way to convert my videos / DVS into a format the DI can play?
