HTC Incredible :: Have A Constant VM Indicator In My Notifications Bar / What To Do?

I have a constant VM indicator in my notifications bar....Google Voice VM indicator problems
Google Voice software has an issue where the software is telling the phone I have voice mails, or the phone is telling the software I do. I don�t know which but its clearly a bug.
I�ve only been able to temporarily fix by factory resetting my phone. I do not have any unread/unheard voice mails, on my phone OR online. When I press the notifications (which is currently telling me I have 3 Voice mails) it dials google voice, where it tells me I have none.
Its just annoying.
Any idea on what the cause is, and if I can get rid of it. I cant imagine I am the only one with this issue.

I added BatteryTime to one of my home screens and it asked if I wanted to display the % in the notifications to which I said OK to (it displays in the ongoing notifications and stays displayed in the top left corner of the phone). But now I'd like to remove it from there. I cant find this in the settings? I tried removing the program from the home screen, then re-adding it, but it didn't give me the options like I was displayed initially. Any ideas?

Many times it seems I will get notification that an app (such as chompsms or twidroyd) has updates just a day or two after I just updated that app because I rec'd a notification. I know you can check the version number and some apps even tell you what is being updated, but I never know what the latest build number is anyway so I always just push update anyway. So, I guess my question is, when I receive these notifications on consecutive days like that are they really just the same update and does it hurt to dl the update if you already have?

To the people that switch Roms fairly often: What are you using to get settings and apps back as painlessly as possible? I was told titanium donated version will install all your apps back with the press of one button is that right? I been using web installer with Appbrian.. its helpful but still a pain in the ass since I have a lot of apps. I installed the first Froyo leak, and now I been using some of adrynalynes' roms.. but its just a pain in the ass if your doing full wipes to make installs are clean

I have been very happily using a Sense 2.2 Lite ROM since August, but what the heck. I've heard good things about Virtuous.I cleared the cache and hard all data since this is a new ROM. Loaded fine. Titanium backup etc.I disabled weather updates. Turned off all google updates. Anything I could find.I still see the sync icon in the top bar spinning. If I go into Accounts & Sync I can hit "Cancel Sync" and it stops, even though I have no idea what it is trying to sync.I restored my older ROM but would love to give Virtuous a shot again.Any suggestions on a setting a may be overlooking?

I've been having a problem for the past few weeks with my Incredible being in a constant state of sync. I can tell this by the sync icon spinning around and around in the bar up top. There's a rouge app calling for sync somewhere, how can I find it? I've already tried to obvious method of going into settings > accounts and sync and disabling literally everything in there. Facebook, Weather, Google, everything is turned off. Another app somewhere is using sync. The only way to get it to stop is to hit the cancel sync button on that page and then it goes away for a few hours and then it comes right back. I'm sure this is a huge battery suck. Is there an app that monitors other app usage with sync or something?

So if your like me then when you enter the market you spend a lot of time there. I like to keep my wallpaper on a constant change from day to day. I came a across an app called "flikie wallpapers" that seems to.be endless. Just thought is share with you cause its a freebe.

I was wondering if it was possible to remove the persistent location icon that takes up space on the status bar. It doesn't make sense to me that the location icon ALWAYS has to be there, whether you enable GPS tracking or not, to let you know one way or another. Especially since the Motorola Droid didn't require this.
Also, it would be nice if the battery indicator could be changed to a percentage. Right now, I have an app - Battery Indicator - that tells this, but it places an icon in the left side of the status bar, needlessly taking up space as well.
It would be killer for me if I could get rid of these 2 superfluous status bar icons and leave room for other stuff.
I'm running Third Wave, Hydra Kernel 1, but I'm guessing a separate ROM would be necessary to do what I want. MetaMorph doesn't work for me, for what it's worth.

As titled, I installed the leaked OTA tonight for the 720p recorder,boot animation, etc.It did reboot 3 times initially right after the update but I was expecting that.I waited about 30 minutes for good measure and then restored all of my apps and data with Titanium. Ever since then my phone has been rebooting itself for no reason. I have noticed that it does it more when I am launching certain programs. For a while it was just rebooting one right after the other and the home screen never came available, it just had a Loading... notification. Once it finally did load the home screen it looked like the Weatherbug was struggling to load and as soon as I click on it, the phone shuts off.I uninstalled the app and it hasn't been rebooting as much but for a phone that has never ever had one problem I'm kind of inconvenienced by this.

Things i have tried to fix the problem.
1. Having someone leave me a voicemail, and then checked and deleted it.
2. Turning off the phone.
3. Taking out the battery.
4. Pressed * instead of hanging up when I exit voicemail.
I am relatively sure I know what caused the problem, I just don't know how to fix it. I had a voicemail that I had not yet checked on my phone when I signed up for visual voicemail. I then looked at it on visual voicemail, decided I didn't need to listen to it, and then deleted it. Therefore, I have this "phantom" voicemail still there even though I deleted it. I tried uninstalling the visual voicemail and then reinstalling it, but I was unable to uninstall it...
I am at a loss here, and I know it's not a big deal but it aggravates the bejesus out of me for some reason. Any ideas?

I can attest to the fact that this works. It even brings the little red x's back. Looks like new. I just tried it on my wife's LG Env3. She washed it a few months back and both stickers (on the battery and the phone) were completely red. Did the rice/oven trick and all was well, no problems whatsoever. Well lately she's been having some battery problems ,her phone has been shutting off randomly at times as if the battery is loosing connection with the phone. No corrosion issues from the wash, I honestly think this issue is unrelated. Well, it turns out that there was a problem with the Env3's battery/connection design and the Verizon rep. was happy to send her out a replacement phone right away. The Inc is my first smartphone so I don't know anything about how the LED indicators work. When I get emails and texts, I get the green LED indicator that flashes. Is the LED supposed to keep flashing until you clear the email/text from your notifications panel? I ask because I got an email last night and I didn't check it until I woke up this morning and the LED indicator wasn't flashing anymore. If this is intentional, what's the purpose of having the LED flash for only a limited amount of time?

I'm looking for a battery indicator widget/app that will show the remaining battery left (numeric) in the status bar. I found "Battery Indicator" which shows a separate battery % in the status bar, but I"m looking for one that will superimpose the numeric % left over the stock battery meter icon in the status bar.

I've noticed sometimes my Incredible battery indicator stops showing the charging symbol but the orange LED is still lit, and if I go to my About Battery, it says "Discharging" rather than "Charging." I don't do anything to the phone to cause this, but would love to know why it's happening if anyone knows.

I'm about 98% sure I've changed what color my LED light (the one that comes on when you're charging) was for notifications. But now I can't find an option or setting anywhere to do it... did they remove this feature with the 2.2 update or something?it may have been a setting that was in handcent but i'm not sure

How do I get notified when I have a new facebook message? I don't seem to be getting any, but when I use the Facebook app, I can see new messages. I'm coming from a BB Curve where I got actual facebook message notifications when I had a new message or someone replied to a thread that I had commented in. Does Android not do that?

Missed call, On the storm I was able to purchase a 3rd party app that let me choose a different color for each item and adjust how frequent the light would blink and things like that.

Hi guys. I have checked all the low on space threads and i feel like mines is definitely an odd ball
When i click on the notification it sends me to my Manage Apps menu. The Manage Apps menu kind of freezes and all the apps show but the disk space says "computing..." and doesn't change
This is the current amount of space I have in my phone.
SD card - Total space = 7.42GB / Avail. space = 7.05gb
Internal phone storage - Total space = 6.6gb / Avail. space = 6.53gb
Phone memory - Total space = 748MB / Avail space = 696MB
I have tried clearing the internet cache and etc..still to no avail. the phone seems to be functioning fine except for the notification that bugs me.

Starting today I haven't been getting my usual HTC email notifications and when I open the HTC mail client the messages are there, but I get an error message that says, "Alert, There is not enough free space. Please delete some messages and try again." I'm also not able to send photos via the photo app by email. The message sends but not the attachment, only a 1 kb attachment which isn't the photo at all. My phone storage is virtually empty and I always keep my inboxes clear. I've had this phone since launch with no real problems until now. I did update adw.launcher, launcher pro, smooth calendar and alarm clock yesterday if that helps. I called Verizon and they told me to do a factory reset. This shouldn't be happening two months later on a perfectly running phone, should it? I trust everyone on this forum over the Verizon tech support every day of the week.

has this been asked before? I tried searching but everything i found was notifications for regular SMS, and notification not waking the phone up. Basically i'm looking for a beep of some sort that notifies me of when i get a text when i'm on the phone. I've had that little bit or sound since 1998 when cell phones were getting heavy on the market and in the US, but for some reason, the droid does not notify me when i get a text while i'm on the phone. Is there an option i'm missing somewhere?

I installed the gmail unread app and it's pretty cool. But now I get notifications from both the gmail app and the HTC mail app. Is there a way to disable notifications on the HTC app? I only want one notification for each email.
