I'm looking for a battery indicator widget/app that will show the remaining battery left (numeric) in the status bar. I found "Battery Indicator" which shows a separate battery % in the status bar, but I"m looking for one that will superimpose the numeric % left over the stock battery meter icon in the status bar.

Battery Left was the first thing I installed on my phone when I got it. My battery life has been terrible so I've been trying to track down the problem. I woke up today, unplugged my phone and didn't touch it for an hour. Battery Left says I have 70 percent left but the battery meter in the status bar showed full. I uninstalled battery left and installed Battstatt and it shows 90 percent (2 hours later). Anyone else have problems with battery left? I hope this fixes my battery problem.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAs I remember the issue got started from my fault about wipping my battery state. my battery never charged to 100%.I tought I can solve this by wiping when it's fully charged(99%).so I charge my phone to 99% and wipped.but after that my charge percentage got wrong.for example it shows 50%,but it gets off bcoz of low battery.or I plug my charger when it's at 30%.it jumps to 90%rapidly.I have changed my rom.but no results.I tought maybe it's from relation of hardware(battery)and software(ROM) data.so I decide to try my idea.
My idea was:wipe and format all things at recovery.draining battery to 0%(by entering the downloading mode and remaining to it untill phone gets off)then pluging it to charger and let it fully charged.and then odin and installing a ROM.but I have wiped and formated all ghings.but when I plug the charger now a battery icon appears on the screen,but it doesn't get green as it is charging.

I got a new moto g about a week ago and it worked like a charm, but yesterday it started doing something wired, the battery indicator always shows that the phone is fully charged, to the point where it shut its self down because it run out, and still showed battery fully charged.
View 4 Replies View RelatedStock battery indicator in the status bar was bugging me, since it was constantly showing more charge than all other battery apps (widgets, Spare Parts). After looking in
/system/framework/framework-res.apk/res/drawable/stat_sys_battery.xml
I could see that Samsung changed battery level thresholds compared to other Android releases (sources found on net). I have made a mod which changes the levels to the ones in the right column (source). Tested only on this 1.6 firmware: Baseband version I7500XXJB2, Build number Donut.XXJB6. Do not change /system/framework/framework-res.apk directly, the phone might not boot if it is not signed again after changing! Make all necessary backups!
You will need Metamorph to apply it, but since we have only 1.21 MB available on /system partition with this firmware, we will have to move Maps.apk to /data/app. The procedure (if you are not sure what each step does, do not proceed):
1. root the phone
2. copy busybox to /data/local/bin and give it execute permissions
3. install Metamorph from the Market
4. mount /system as RW (via "Root explorer", for example)
5. Run Metamorph. It will check for necessary files, and copy zip to /system/bin/zip. You can move it to /data/local/bin/zip to save some space on /system, and create symlink with this: ln -s /data/local/bin/zip /system/bin/zip
6. copy attached Galaxy-BatteryFix-v1.0.zip to /sdcard/AndroidThemes
7. move /system/app/Maps.apk to /data/app. It seems that Maps work fine from that location, after reboot.
8. apply theme from Metamorph
9. reboot
If you have problems with Metamorph and copying zip app, run this command:
ln -s /data/local/bin/busybox /system/bin/cp (after renaming /system/bin/cp to cp.old).
To restore the original, use Galaxy-BatteryFixRestore-v1.0.zip.
Im curently running cyanogen/tazz v6 first I have heard people talking about upgrading from RC1 to RC2 where can I download RC2. If I can't no biggie but my main question is, is there a way to change the color of the batery life indicator in the status bar.

One of them was a text battery indicator that put a 1x1 icon on my screen that was transparent and just said "ninety percent" I can't find it at all in the market. View 12 Replies View RelatedI added BatteryTime to one of my home screens and it asked if I wanted to display the % in the notifications to which I said OK to (it displays in the ongoing notifications and stays displayed in the top left corner of the phone). But now I'd like to remove it from there. I cant find this in the settings? I tried removing the program from the home screen, then re-adding it, but it didn't give me the options like I was displayed initially. Any ideas?

View 4 Replies View RelatedJust post some numbers, and some details below Before 2.2 i was fully calibrated and it showed 8.14 total life (unrooted)Post 2.2 im showing between 20 and 22 full life. I have not done a full reset yet. My wifes phone running 2.2 is showing 14.9 which is strange,she has less crap going on than i do lol. Okay post some stats if you would.I got so sick of my threads being moved into subforums i went and made this one in the tips or support section (cant remember which) and it got moved into main chat. haha i cant win lol. But it would be better here.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that the green 'online' status indicator in Talk doesn't update on my phone when someone signs off, it stays green for them. They show as offline on my PC but continue to show online on the Droid. If I sign out and back in to Talk on the phone it will update their status, but otherwise not. I've tried closing chat but that doesn't seem to work, I don't see anything in settings that would affect it either. Any ideas?
I'm the only one using Android, my other contacts are all using Talk online (not with a phone) if that makes a difference.
Just noticed something; my brother in law called me this morning. He also happens to be one of my Facebook friends. As soon as the phone rang, his FB picture showed up and his most recent wallpost was scrolling at the bottom of his caller ID pic.Is this new?I don't recall ever seeing that before.Seems like I'm always learning new stuff on my EVO.

So against my will, I've downloaded ATK.
I noticed that upon killing ANY application that was loaded by the system at start up (besides ATK) would allow the phone to sleep.
So FM Radio, Footprints, Docs to Go....
Killing just one of those or I imagine just about anything else that loaded from the start, stopped my wakelock.
Also I noticed by putting the phone into airplane mode, and then taking it out, seemed to work as well.
I have a Motorola Milestone with Android 2.1. I'd like an app which shows the battery level in the notification bar. Nothing fancy, no estimation of remaining battery life nor fancy eye candy. If it can show a more precise reading than the Milestone built-in one, which only decreases in 10% intervals, fine, but only if this isn't a drain on the battery. I know there are several such apps, but which do you think is the best for my needs? There are so many it's hard to try them all and choose. I just want something basic and simple which doesn't drain the battery. I tried "battery indicator" and "battery status pro"; they both do what I need, but I'm afraid they might be an additional drain on the battery.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had a Droid X2 for almost 2 years, and as phones usually do, the battery life became pretty bad. It would get to 5% and then quickly die halfway through the day.
I purchased a new battery, and found it to be just as bad (supposedly). It would be down to 5% by noon without much usage, so I thought maybe the problem was with my phone and not an old battery. I'd just turn it off or try to find a charger...
It took me a few days to realize that it lasts hours past when it gets to 5%. HOURS. It reached 5% at about 1pm EST today, I used it my whole commute home on the train, made a two 5-10 minute phone calls this evening, and now past 9pm it still hasn't died.
So, it's not the battery. It's not the worst problem to have... but it would be really nice to know how much battery I have left.
Note: I rooted my phone about 1 week before I got the new battery.
Just received my Tattoo, this is an upgrade from the iphone then the blackberry 8900 which both broke. so far i am loving it and set emails, facebook and twitter up. I do have a question that I cannot answer from the manual. in the top left of the screen in the status bar i have a symbol of a person with a circle (looks like the circle when refreshing twitter or emails etc). i cannot work out what this means, I do not have any unread notifications and my friend does not have this symbol on his tattoo.

Please do not move this posting because this is only applicable to the EVO. The app Battery Indicator Pro received an update that will tell you how long before your phone is fully charged so you can pull your phone from the charger right at green light/fully charged. Nobody should experience the 5% dropoff in battery power using this app. If you can't pull the phone off the charger as depicted by the app, I don't know what else to tell you.

The app will now provide you with battery power left depicted in time by usage, for example heavy usage. I'm loving the update. Also, if you have the app log everything that's utilizing the battery, you will see a decrease in battery power. So read the tips/hints the developer included with the update before having the app log everything.
