View 1 Replies View RelatedHow do I change the settings so that when I receive a text message, it will beep every 2, 5, or 10 minutes after that? Right now, it just beeps once and if I don't hear it the first time and it's in my pocket, I just have to keep checking my phone. Suggestions?
View 7 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to change the notifications so that when I receive a text it will pop-up on the screen when the phone is locked? Right now all it does is vibrate/ring and blinks the red light at the top right.

View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing ContentResolver and ContentObserver, it is possible to receive notifications in the function onChange() when some data is changed within the content provider. However, I fail to see if there is a way to see the URI which triggered the notification.
For instance, if I want to play a sound when someone deletes "Kara Trace" from my address book or whatever - how do I do that, if not by having another copy of the whole content provider dataset, and then comparing the old dataset copy with a new one? Can someone confirm me that the hard way is the only way?
With the HTC Magic I rarely use the trackball for anything. My biggest benefit from the trackball is the light flash on certain notifications.
It will blink when you missed a call, have a new voicemail or have a new text message.
Does anyone know if there is a way to change these settings? I would like it to flash on any event in the notification bar (like unread emails).
The sensitivity also seems a little low... are there any apps to increase the sensitivity of the trackball?
Is there anyway to change the settings so that notifications don't interrupt when its playing something?

View 3 Replies View RelatedHello everyone! I just purchased a Motorola Droid on Friday and have been playing with it non-stop all weekend... I do have a couple, maybe silly, questions...
1) Whenever I power my phone off for the night then plug it in to charge, it keeps turning on. Is this normal? Is there any way to stop this from happening? Will this have an impact on my battery life?
2) Is there any way to change the sounds for text message, emails, and other notifications? I am coming from a Blackberry where EVERYTHING has its own sound.
3) I've been looking through the "Most Popular App" threads and, of course, am open to your suggestions. Is there anywhere online where I can easily look at all of the available apps/programs?
I just got the Motorola Droid a few days ago. Is there an online manual for this device.
How do I change the notifications so I get different notifications for
Text
Email
Gmail
How do I delete applications I downloaded I don't want anymore
I was wondering if anyone knows of an App that will let me have different sounds for specific notifications.
As I have gmail, facebook, skype, mms, texts and more, And I which I got when I get it.
I'm about 98% sure I've changed what color my LED light (the one that comes on when you're charging) was for notifications. But now I can't find an option or setting anywhere to do it... did they remove this feature with the 2.2 update or something?it may have been a setting that was in handcent but i'm not sure
View 6 Replies View RelatedHow do I get notified when I have a new facebook message? I don't seem to be getting any, but when I use the Facebook app, I can see new messages. I'm coming from a BB Curve where I got actual facebook message notifications when I had a new message or someone replied to a thread that I had commented in. Does Android not do that?

Missed call, On the storm I was able to purchase a 3rd party app that let me choose a different color for each item and adjust how frequent the light would blink and things like that.
Hi guys. I have checked all the low on space threads and i feel like mines is definitely an odd ball
When i click on the notification it sends me to my Manage Apps menu. The Manage Apps menu kind of freezes and all the apps show but the disk space says "computing..." and doesn't change
This is the current amount of space I have in my phone.
SD card - Total space = 7.42GB / Avail. space = 7.05gb
Internal phone storage - Total space = 6.6gb / Avail. space = 6.53gb
Phone memory - Total space = 748MB / Avail space = 696MB
I have tried clearing the internet cache and etc..still to no avail. the phone seems to be functioning fine except for the notification that bugs me.
I am only using the stock sense messaging app and I get two notifications for sms texts. Not sure what I am missing here.
View 4 Replies View RelatedStarting today I haven't been getting my usual HTC email notifications and when I open the HTC mail client the messages are there, but I get an error message that says, "Alert, There is not enough free space. Please delete some messages and try again." I'm also not able to send photos via the photo app by email. The message sends but not the attachment, only a 1 kb attachment which isn't the photo at all. My phone storage is virtually empty and I always keep my inboxes clear. I've had this phone since launch with no real problems until now. I did update adw.launcher, launcher pro, smooth calendar and alarm clock yesterday if that helps. I called Verizon and they told me to do a factory reset. This shouldn't be happening two months later on a perfectly running phone, should it? I trust everyone on this forum over the Verizon tech support every day of the week.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAnyone been getting false notifications? For example, my phone just vibrated like it got an e-mail or text message, but when I checked my phone there was nothing going on at all. This has happened a few times so far.
View 5 Replies View Relatedhas this been asked before? I tried searching but everything i found was notifications for regular SMS, and notification not waking the phone up. Basically i'm looking for a beep of some sort that notifies me of when i get a text when i'm on the phone. I've had that little bit or sound since 1998 when cell phones were getting heavy on the market and in the US, but for some reason, the droid does not notify me when i get a text while i'm on the phone. Is there an option i'm missing somewhere?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI installed the gmail unread app and it's pretty cool. But now I get notifications from both the gmail app and the HTC mail app. Is there a way to disable notifications on the HTC app? I only want one notification for each email.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've asked as few times in various threads how to change the "green-on-gray" notifications when running Key Lime Kangerade, but have gotten no responses. That means either other users of this themed ROM have better eyesight than me or never look at their notifications. Or perhaps I did something that royally screwed up my notifications and no one else is having this issue.
Regardless, this is my last ditch effort in looking for help for a fix. Spare Parts is a no go. Neither is any settings I can find on the phone as it currently exists. So what it comes down to is, where do I locate the notification files to make custom edits and how do I alter them?
I have my backups done in both Titanium and CW Recovery so I'm ready to spend my weekend hacking my ROM to make it just right. I'm trying not to think about the fact that it'll all change as soon as the new froyo release rolls out in the next few days...
Ok did a search, couldn't really find an answer for the Incredible. Can I, and if so how do I set notifications(mostly text notifications) for each person individually?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI noticed this morning that my alarm didn't make a sound when it went off this morning. Fortunately it was set to vibrate and I heard that. I than noticed it didn't ring when I received a call. I had my GF send me a txt and no sound with that either. When I go into setting to change my ringtone none of them play. The volume button beeps when I hit it and I other apps that play sounds are working fine.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way (or an App) to set a different notification for SMS, another for MMS, and a third for Email? This way I know what kind of notification I am receiving. Seems like it should be possible, even if it is with an app.
