HTC EVO 4G :: Dust On Top Left Corner Of Screen
Aug 5, 2010i was cleaning my screen when I noticed some dust on the top left corner of the screen. I don't have a case on but man, i've only had this phone for like 2 weeks. Anyone else having this issue and how did you deal with it? I'm thinking about bringing it into the Sprint store and hopefully, they can clean it out.

Jun 13, 2010I've had my evo for 4 days now, and I think I have a pretty significant amount of dust in the upper left corner. Before I call to exchange this, can anyone take and reply if it is more/less than the dust under your phone? There is also one random spec that made its way down to middle of phone (less concerned about this one). And yes, I know there is a thread complaining about "Crappy" build quality, but I think this phone is stellar in all other regards. I just need some verification that I have an unusual amount of dust for a 4 day old phone.

Jun 15, 2010I too have dust under the screen of my Evo like some other users on the forums. Almost in the same places too. Upper left hand corner of the screen. Has anyone taken their Evo back because of this issue? I hate to be a nit picky costumer and take it back due to this issue but because I notice it all the time now it's starting to bother me. I bought it at Best Buy so I'm sure they won't have any in stock if I try to return it anytime soon.

Mar 19, 2010I've had my Eris sense November, loaded and uninstalled way too many apps, performed hard resets, loaded the 2.1 leak the night it was "found", and even done a couple hard resets sinse then. Had a new one pop up tonight, playing aroung I installed LockBot free. playing with it and Home, the phone got laggy. So, first thing I do is reboot. the phone restarts, but now it has a translucient box in the lower left corner and says "Safe Mode" and none of my Non-Android (ie Sense, Handcent, Pandore,...) widgets are showing up on the screen, let alone working, they just have little boxes that say "Problem Loading Gadget". Rebooted again, "Safe Mode" is gone, but widgets stil not working.....

Android : Apple Store Bars Loses Signal When Cover Bottom Left Corner Of Phone
Aug 8, 2010It was earlier this evening in fact. I went with my friends to check out the iphone 4 for the first time. So i decided to try and see the reception problem for myself. I took out my nexus one and did a side by side comparison. However to my surprise the iphone 4 was already at 2 bars the moment i picked it up, no idea why as my nexus one (Which was on the SAME carrier btw) had more bars on it at the same time. I carried on with the test anyway. You guys can guess the result.
The bars didn't drop completely as the coverage in Singapore is much better. But that doesn't mean it had better reception than my nexus one.
But the interesting thing was the lady beside me noticed us and asked "what are you trying to prove?". So while her daughter plays with the ipad, I kindly explained to her the whole issue with the iphone 4's revolutionary antenna having a ******ed flaw by which it loses signal when you cover the bottom left corner of the phone, unlike my phone which did not suffer as much as a drop. She then proceeded to saying "But they fixed the problem if you use the bumpers right?". Thats when i explained that you should not rely on a silly bumper case to improve reception when the actual problem lies with the antenna's design itself. But again she said "but the problem is fixed with the case right?". With one of the store sales person watching us the entire time, i still carried on and said "no it doesn't solve the problem, it only prevents it from happening". So we continued playing with the phone and she asked "you all are not fans of apple are you?". Trying not to be so direct, i just said "I actually used to have an iphone, but i didn't like it so i got this instead *shows nexus one*".
Ive never done this kind of thing before, so it was kinda thrilling. Especially when you know the staff is looking at you pseudo-promoting a rival phone. After looking at the iphone 4, i really think it does look beautiful, but it will still be crippled by the limitations of the OS regardless of how you jailbreak it. When i left the store i kinda hoped i shed some light into that lady's decision on whether or not to buy an iphone 4 or any other phone (Android or non-android).

May 3, 2010I downloaded a battery life app today and after I did that a tiny command prompt looking thing appeared in the top right corner of my Incredible. Everytime I do an action, a line of code appears. For example, on my main page it says stuff like
system_server
m.android.phone
And other random code lines like that. Its in a tiny text in the top right of the touch screen. Is there any way to get rid of this? I tried to uninstall the battery app that seemed to cause it, but the prompt didn't go away with it.
General :: Black Marks On HTC One X Plus Screen?
Aug 13, 2013My HTC One X Plus fell down recently, and has got a ' triangle flag' like mark on the top left part of the screen. (But not on the Gorilla Screen). But each day, when I see it, the black mark getting disappeared , as forming lines in the triangle flag (the original screen getting viewed through the lines).
When I try the phone screenshot option, the complete screen is captured with no black mark on it.
When I contacted the service center, they asked me to replace the screen. That is very costly
Is it really needed to replace the screen or will it get disappeared eventually?

HTC Incredible :: Is Our Phone Being Left Behind?
Jun 28, 2010Is the Incredible being left behind?I know all the news lately has been Droid X, and deservedly so.I remember the same thing happening when the Incredible rumors were out there, so I am fine with that.However, in all the trade publications, even the 2.2 rumor mill(I know the Inc is slated to get it) the Incredible is rarely mentioned. Also, with the production issues between HTC and Samsung, the Incredible still isn't shipping and the X will probably be out before they get them back in production.I feel like VZW will drop the Incredible (and all references to it) as soon as the X hits the street.But, that's just my humble opinion. Hope mine lasts for 16 more months.I LOVE my Incredible, and it has been treating me great.I just hope it's not a relic already.

Sep 7, 2010Just post some numbers, and some details below Before 2.2 i was fully calibrated and it showed 8.14 total life (unrooted)Post 2.2 im showing between 20 and 22 full life. I have not done a full reset yet. My wifes phone running 2.2 is showing 14.9 which is strange,she has less crap going on than i do lol. Okay post some stats if you would.I got so sick of my threads being moved into subforums i went and made this one in the tips or support section (cant remember which) and it got moved into main chat. haha i cant win lol. Jun 21, 2010When you click on "Phone" and start typing letters to bring up whatever contact you're trying to locate, there are horizontal arrows that are on both sides of the name if that particular person has multiple numbers. Is there a way to scroll right or left to see them or am I forced to click on the "index card" looking icon to pull up their entry?? It's also like that when you look at "call history".

Jul 2, 2010I've read another related thread with a similar issue but it died down and I'm surprised this hasn't turned into a bigger deal. My Incredible has been chronically swiping to the left I'd say 95% of the time I use it. It is almost definitely the track pad. Nothing is actually being tapped, just swiped. This sucks when it moves on its own to the far left screen, but it is insanely annoying when typing a text message/email and the cursor just races to the left of the message. Ah! I have tried pulling the battery, swabbing the track pad with alcohol, fully draining and charging the battery, but to no luck. The only way to make it stop is to press the track pad, and even then, sometimes it doesn't stop or just starts 10 seconds later. I really DO NOT want to return my current Incredible for a new one because then I'll be stuck with the newer (and cheaper/crappier) screens that are being shipped now. I love the contrast and vibrancy of the screen and don't want to be downgraded! Has anyone found a fix for this? I hope, but doubt the upcoming OTA will help. I know this isn't an isolated issue as a couple of my friends with the INC are experiencing the same issue.
