View 1 Replies View RelatedI know there isn't a firmware update but for the past 2 days when I go in and check for Firmware updates it says "checking for Firmware update" then it just dissapears, it no longer comes back with "No update available". Anyone else having this problem? I powercycled and pulled the battery and it still does this. It also fails updating my profile and fails updating the PRL. All other data features work just fine.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Website, which is built upon a CMS, written in PHP. And now i'm trying to develop an App. I want the app to check for Updates on the website every time it starts, for example, if a new article is added to the website, a news about this publishment should be displayed on the app.My knowledge in this area is very poor. Can somebody tell me, what i should do on the website and what should be done on the app?

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis morning I power cycled my Eris for for first time in a week or so. After that, the notificaton area said I have four updates waiting.I think I selected the "My Tracks" app for update, but when I did, it told me to make sure I had at least 40% battery charge, the phone would be unusable during the update, etc., and it proceeded to install the OTA update to build 1.17.605.1.That's fine, but now the phone doesn't show any apps with available updates. Will these apps automatically notify me again that updates are available? Do all apps routinely check?
View 3 Replies View RelatedOne thing I noticed with the market is it seems to periodically check for updates, but it doesn't seem to check that often. It seems like the Market application waits for a group of apps to get updated at once before it notifies you, or it seems to only check for updates on a certain day where app updates are rolled out onto the Android market (similar to PSN/XBL updates)
how to force the Market application to check for updates to my apps? I was thinking maybe going to the Market app in the system settings and clearing cache/data, but I was wondering if there's some other way to do it.
I went into the notification bar to see I had two updates for apps that I have. However only a second or two after the notification window was up it suddenly disappeared and kicked me back to my home screen. When I returned to the notification window the app update notifications were no longer there. Is there a way that I can make my Droid go check for updates again?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMenu - Settings - Location - Enable GPS satellites
It states that enabling this will "require more battery plus view of sky"
When checked, it states "deselect to conserve battery"
So, the question is, should this be enabled?
I imagine for some applications, knowing your precise location should be useful, especially if the turn-by-turn maps are installed and used.
I'm thinking to deselect this, and selecting it at times when I need it.
So, to check or not to check?
Does anyone know how can I check system version (1.0 .. 2.2) in run-time?
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow do you make it so the phone doesn't automatically check for emails? I get so few that it would be better for me to be able to simply do a "manual" check when I want, rather than have the phone check all the time. Besides, I don't NEED to be notified every time I get an email since most are crap anyway.

I'd like to review what I've installed without having to uninstall and reinstall everything just to check.
so just to clarify, this isn't another one of those "Why doesn't my message show as delivered?" threads. I already know it CAN be done, I found that out accidentally. It worked once, but I don't know how to make it work again. What I did when it worked: I sent my sister a message and then quickly switched over to iheartradio. Her message wasn't sending and the station was stuck at connecting, so I power cycled the phone. Then the message sent and to the right of it there's a green circle with a check mark. If I touch that, it says "Report" and then the receiver's name and "Status: Received." So,does this only work when there's an error to begin with or what?!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm sure most people knew this but what with the premium add on charge of $10, I wanted to be sure. Since I am going through a refi on my mortgage, I didn't want another credit check. Sprint confirmed for me, in writing, that a new check is not required if you are going through an upgrade...only at "original" activation.

I'm about to start development on another app and looking to use ProGuard for obfuscation and LVL as I would like to make it a paid app, and I've been wondering something ever since the news that LVL had been circumvented months ago.Is it possible to check the .apk's signature from within the API? If not currently, perhaps Google might add some code to Android itself or to the API to enable LVL to make sure that the.apk signature matches the signature that Android Market already has on file?
