I found a video on youtube where u can have the dpad in the bottom left corner when your holding your evo horizontal. Can I move the dpad from the top left to the bottom left? if so how?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo despite my gut feeling I took off the film behind the screen as the other thread indicated.Now my phone slides smoother but when it is closed and using it in portrait view, the bottom and top left of the phone makes a tapping noise everytime I press there. It's really annoying specially when I'm typing something or going back and I keep hearing tap tap silent silent silent tap tap tap.As I took a closer look, it seems like the legs on the left side on the back of the screen don't quite reach the keyboard base, therefore creating a gap and tapping the keyboard base whenever i press there.Has this happened to yours too? If so, do you have the film in the back or have you taken it off?
View 2 Replies View RelatedFrom the home screen, if I press 'phone' and then the keypad icon in the bottom left some of the numbers have a chevron on either side of them. I thought that possibly it indicated that the person had more than one number but that is not the case.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't know how the hell this happened. There was absolutely no chance that this could have happened, but it did. The scratch is on the screen towards the bottom left and is deep enough that if you scratch your nail over it, you hear the concavity.
I don't believe this. I'm not able to call customer service at the moment, but I think I can get them to replace the phone. Honestly, I was so careful with it! I don't know what happened! I needed to vent. Scratches can still happen everyone.

Its a picture of a simcard with a small cog wheel in the bottom left of it.
I cant get rid of it and cant find anywhere a list of notification icons and what they mean?
I cant clear it, i can select the icon in the dropdown notification listing but it does nothing.
Anyone got an idea or a list of default notification icons and their explanations????

Battery Left was the first thing I installed on my phone when I got it. My battery life has been terrible so I've been trying to track down the problem. I woke up today, unplugged my phone and didn't touch it for an hour. Battery Left says I have 70 percent left but the battery meter in the status bar showed full. I uninstalled battery left and installed Battstatt and it shows 90 percent (2 hours later). Anyone else have problems with battery left? I hope this fixes my battery problem.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIt was earlier this evening in fact. I went with my friends to check out the iphone 4 for the first time. So i decided to try and see the reception problem for myself. I took out my nexus one and did a side by side comparison. However to my surprise the iphone 4 was already at 2 bars the moment i picked it up, no idea why as my nexus one (Which was on the SAME carrier btw) had more bars on it at the same time. I carried on with the test anyway. You guys can guess the result.
The bars didn't drop completely as the coverage in Singapore is much better. But that doesn't mean it had better reception than my nexus one.
But the interesting thing was the lady beside me noticed us and asked "what are you trying to prove?". So while her daughter plays with the ipad, I kindly explained to her the whole issue with the iphone 4's revolutionary antenna having a ******ed flaw by which it loses signal when you cover the bottom left corner of the phone, unlike my phone which did not suffer as much as a drop. She then proceeded to saying "But they fixed the problem if you use the bumpers right?". Thats when i explained that you should not rely on a silly bumper case to improve reception when the actual problem lies with the antenna's design itself. But again she said "but the problem is fixed with the case right?". With one of the store sales person watching us the entire time, i still carried on and said "no it doesn't solve the problem, it only prevents it from happening". So we continued playing with the phone and she asked "you all are not fans of apple are you?". Trying not to be so direct, i just said "I actually used to have an iphone, but i didn't like it so i got this instead *shows nexus one*".
Ive never done this kind of thing before, so it was kinda thrilling. Especially when you know the staff is looking at you pseudo-promoting a rival phone. After looking at the iphone 4, i really think it does look beautiful, but it will still be crippled by the limitations of the OS regardless of how you jailbreak it. When i left the store i kinda hoped i shed some light into that lady's decision on whether or not to buy an iphone 4 or any other phone (Android or non-android).
I am not able to find out the perfect layout(viewgroup) to place four buttons as shown in the attached image. Basically, i want to place four buttons near the top/left/bottom/right edge of the screen. AbsoluteLayout helped, but it is deprecated (It is also better to avoid AbsoluteLayout as it is not very flexible for orientation changes)

Also, with the production issues between HTC and Samsung, the Incredible still isn't shipping and the X will probably be out before they get them back in production.I feel like VZW will drop the Incredible (and all references to it) as soon as the X hits the street.But, that's just my humble opinion. Hope mine lasts for 16 more months.I LOVE my Incredible, and it has been treating me great.I just hope it's not a relic already.

See what im getting at? Us Europeans need some 4.3" android goodness. I was dead set on getting the desire but this new phone really reminded me of what i like about the HD2 (big screen). Im thinking of waiting a little and seeing if any rumors start flying around about a possible GSM 4.3" android handset. What are the chances we'll see one this summer? Or even by the end of the year? Dare i say, or ever? Im about to cry now..

I have not done a full reset yet. My wifes phone running 2.2 is showing 14.9 which is strange,she has less crap going on than i do lol. Okay post some stats if you would.I got so sick of my threads being moved into subforums i went and made this one in the tips or support section (cant remember which) and it got moved into main chat. haha i cant win lol. View 35 Replies View RelatedSo Ive been tweaking my phone to where I want it, outside of rooting. Anyways, I do what some old friends from nitro racing called "force charging". Basically been talked about here several threads, charging to full, unplugging it (I then use it briefly, web, txt, anything) then plug the charger back in, 2-3 times or untill its still green when I plug it back in. As of the moment, im at almost 72 hours with 30% battery left. Granted its only under what most of you would consider light/moderate use Im pretty happy. I make 4-5 outgoing calls a day, and get maybe 4-5 incoming. 10-20+ txts a day, my daughter usually surfs for an hour in incriments streaming You Tube videos. And some other lil stuff, all things considered I think its doing well. As I said, im not rooted, manually using ATK after I play games/surf etc, screen brightness 35%, 4g/wifi all that turned off unless needed, no live wallpaper. Also did the CDMA deal and whatnot, thats it though! Nothing special, pics to come. Seeing how far I can stretch it over 70 hours!
