Android :: Forward Text Message To An Email Address?
Mar 17, 2010I just want to simply forward a text message to an email address (preferably using my default gmail account). How can I do this? I've tried with both the default messaging app and handcent. Both have a forward feature, but it only works to forward to another phone #. I found a few apps that claim to automatically forward incoming texts to an email but that isn't what I want either.

Apr 30, 2010I am using the HTC mail app, to get emails from a Gmail account, which gets messages from a POP3 account. In Gmail online, I can send all messages as being sent from the Pop3 account. I cannot figure out how to do this with the HTC mail account, which makes it pretty useless. Anyone else using HTC mail and receiving and sending from different accounts? I've tried changing the outgoing server stuff, but I keep getting failed message sent errors.

Aug 31, 2010The verizon lady set up a gmail for me when I first got my phone. I guess I used that email to buy my apps and stuff because using my current gmail it wants me to buy the apps again. It's been a while so I forgot the email she set up and I don't know the recovery email I gave her (if I even gave her one) Is there any way I can find out what email I used to buy the app?

Sep 6, 2010I'm a newbie to this forum, and hope someone can help. Have had the Captivate for almost a month now and am plagued by an annoying problem. I have set up email accounts connecting to a google-hosted email account via IMAP. I am finding that when replying to a received email, my reply goes out with redundant repetitions of the email address on the "to" line. Example: Email from soandso@gmail.com arrives. I click "reply" on the phone and the reply goes out to soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com etc etc *10 times*, instead of just once. It also copies me about 10 times! Is anybody else seeing this? I use this for work emails, so it looks very unprofessional like I am trying to spam my clients! I have another couple of days before my 30-day return period is up, so hopefully someone else know how to fix this. Is there some setting I am overlooking?

Jan 3, 2013I just received a new Nexus 7 32GB and am having some issues. I'm trying to setup my email using my base email address thru Comcast. I have no trouble revieving email through the email setup not Gmail but there is no provision for an address book or contacts list for sending emails. I Googled around and found K-9 Email and went to Google Apps to download it and upon tapping the download button a message came up stating "no devices found". The Nexus7 is running Jellybeen 4.2.1.

Nov 27, 2010On My Samsung Captivate (AT&T) I can forward emails with attachments, but the attachments do not show up when I open the forwarded email. I am using the native Email app for my phone. I have seen several threads about this but none were any help a all. Does anyone know the REAL issue with this problem?

Mar 24, 2010I returned my Droid some time ago because I could not forward customer blueprints and inquiries on ot my plants. The files were imp. tif. jpg. excel and word. I was told by Verizon that the phone might do it after some further updates. What is the real deal here. Will 2.1 fix this? I went back to my 2 year blackberry becaue the email was far more reliable and I could forward whatever came in with the emails I got. Is Android not ready for the business market yet, or have things changed since the Droid intro.

I am coming from the Storm and with one of my email accounts I had to forward emails to someone without an email account. I was able to on the Storm forward it as an mms and they received it on their phone that way.
My question, is there a way to forward my pop3 email as an mms or similar so that I don't have to re-type these emails as sms/mms texts?

I know I can set up the Eris to poll foor hotmail but I have a question.Will email run smoother if I just forward my hotmail account to my Gmail? And if I set up my gmail through the internet UI to "Reply As" my hotmail account, will it also set that as my reply as when I reply via my Eris?

Aug 25, 2010I'm trying to use "note to self" and it records fine and I hit send, It then pops up email clients. if i choose, yahoo it doesn't autofill anything, if i choose the built in mail app it auto fills the subject and the message but it does not have my email address as a default, so I have to type it in every time. Since it is note to self, shouldn't it keep my email address in there. I haven't found a way to make it default. Any suggestions?

Oct 6, 2010Does anyone know if the X can "remember" a sent email address? My iPhone/BB both did this, but I cant tell if there is an option for this here.
For example, if I email an address thats not in my contacts, the next time I try to email that address I have to type out the entire address again, whereas with my iPhone or BB it would remember my sent addresses and I could just select them, even if they werent in my contacts.
Also I see no option to never delete from server. If I download email from my POP account onto my phone, will I still be able to get that on my PC when I get to my office? If I delete it as well?
HTC Desire :: Changing Email Address Associated With Phone
Sep 6, 2010I want to change the email address the phone is set up to. But I have a niggling suspicion doing so requires a factory reset. First things first, please tell me if that's wrong and I'll be happy. If however I'm right, What's the best way to go about saving everything? If I download a backup program, will it store all my settings, apps etc or just data on the SD card? And will changing the email address bugger something up and stop me from restoring the backup? I wouldn't put it past google.
