When i open up the market app on my hero it shows an email address and asks for a pass word, does anyone know how to change that email address becausw i dont no the pass word, with this problem i carn't open the app market.

I'm trying to use "note to self" and it records fine and I hit send, It then pops up email clients. if i choose, yahoo it doesn't autofill anything, if i choose the built in mail app it auto fills the subject and the message but it does not have my email address as a default, so I have to type it in every time. Since it is note to self, shouldn't it keep my email address in there. I haven't found a way to make it default. Any suggestions?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have multiple gmail addresses set up on my phone through the gmail app.However, when I use any HTC app (People,Gallery)and try to send an email through these apps (I believe it directs me to the HTC mail app), I can only send emails from one of my addresses (which is not my primary address).Does anyone know of a way to switch primary email addresses for HTC apps or how to at least switch on the fly between different addresses when sending emails launched from other HTC apps (People, Gallery, etc.).

Now she wants to change the master email address to her new gmail account. So far I got the "mail" app to transfer into the new account. However when we go to google talk it still shows her as signed in on her old account. Is there an easy fast way to change the master email address without having to do a factory reset? She doesn't care if she loses any apps if people are wondering.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought the HTC hero a couple if weeks back and I'm still trying to get used to the symbian to Android change. I have a couple if things which I would like to ask. 1. There is no option to close an application. I read that android closes the applications as and when more memory is required. So there is no chance one can close an application manually? 2. The phone only imports the picture and birthday into the contacts. Is there a chance I can import the email address and the telephone number? I require that more than the birthday info. 3. The WiFi signal seems to be very bad. Not sure if it'd an issue only with me. The location where I have full signal in my laptop and my Nokia N82, I only have one bar of signal in my HTC hero.

When the address book was transfered over to my Hero, i received 3 to 4 different fields per person! How can i fix tihs without having to manually go in and delete 3 of the 4 fields and enter email, cell numbers to one of the contact?

I can both send and receive emails, but I'm having some issues getting notified and receiving messages consistently. I have my update settings set to every 30 minutes, but often I will check the client only to see that it hasn't been updated for hours. Also, sometimes when I get messages there won't be an email notification or an unread count on the widget.

I have set up email accounts connecting to a google-hosted email account via IMAP. I am finding that when replying to a received email, my reply goes out with redundant repetitions of the email address on the "to" line. Example: Email from soandso@gmail.com arrives. I click "reply" on the phone and the reply goes out to soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com etc etc *10 times*, instead of just once. It also copies me about 10 times! Is anybody else seeing this? I use this for work emails, so it looks very unprofessional like I am trying to spam my clients! I have another couple of days before my 30-day return period is up, so hopefully someone else know how to fix this. Is there some setting I am overlooking?

I have no trouble revieving email through the email setup not Gmail but there is no provision for an address book or contacts list for sending emails. I Googled around and found K-9 Email and went to Google Apps to download it and upon tapping the download button a message came up stating "no devices found". The Nexus7 is running Jellybeen 4.2.1.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI use a Google Apps e-mail address (i.e. it's tied to my domain) and GMail can work with this fine, but when I tried to purchase something from the Market it said it can't use this and I need a googlemail e-mail. I have one so I entered that, but now I want to use one I have set up especially for this purpose but I can't see how to change this relationship. If I stick a different SIM in, the Market now asks me to confirm the account password but it won't let me change the actual address. I'm running 1.5 on a T-Mobile Pulse.
