I activated my Incredible yesterday and it played Flash ok. Today the software updated to the latest version and now Flash will not play. What can I do to correct this?

I couldn't see any indication that Flash 10.1 was on my phone after updating using the latest RUU (S-off and rerooted). So I downloaded the APK and tried to install it, and the OS thinks it's there, but will permit neither launching nor uninstalling. I'm sure there might be other info needed, but I would greatly appreciate if someone might have some thoughts about how to resolve this.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI seem to have a problem I have rooted and unlocked my bootloader and flased with rom Carbon 4.3.1on my HTC HD Desire Phone. Everything runs fine except the data don't seem to work even though the correct settings has been applied. Whats so weird it comes on for like an hour then don't come back on again. I have had the rom installed for like 3 days now and it has come 4 times. I have tried switching off the phone, trying different settings also my mum and bro have the same network and same apn settings in my phone is in theres. The apn settings work fine in the stock rom.
Edit - Also I will like to add that the data flickers on and off. The H sign next to the bars
I have switched to the Incredible from the BB Storm. In my Storm, I set "u" to auto-correct to "you," "brb" to auto-correct to "be right back," etc. What apps are available that include this? I think Uber Dictionary does, but I'd like to find one that i can use with Swype.

Today I downloaded a compass app and sure enough the reading is off by almost a full 180 degrees. The program's calibrate feature didn't seem to correct the problem and I was wondering if there was a built-in way to recalibrate the magnetometer.

Quick question.. is there a way to enable spell check, but disable the who correct?? the auto correct is extremely annoying when it changes words on you. how ever id like it to tell me if i miss spelled a word..
like i tried to write DL (down load) and it auto changed it to florida.. or i went to type Mo Williams, and auto changed to Month Williams.
i came from a storm and the storm would underline miss spelled words but not auto correct it.
i played around with all the settings.. cant get it to just spell check with out auto correction.. are there any apps?
I have 3 questions about Visual Voicemail in the Incredible.
1. Is the Visual Voicemail that's in the phone the correct one, or do I need to download the app? It seems when I get a Visual Voicemail, it is showing up in with my text messages. Is that how it's supposed to work or is there supposed to be a separate app?
2. Is it just me, or do people who leave messages sound mechanical? The few voicemails that I've received so far sound terrible. They sound like their voices are synthesized or something. When I talk on the phone, people sound totally normal.
3. Do I even need to pay the $2.99 per month that I am paying Verizon for this service? Or is there a free app available that does the same thing?

View 6 Replies View RelatedJust noticed this within the last week or so. My unread count in the little green bubble for my email inboxes are off. It will have one number before I open my inbox and then another unread count within the app (before downloading any new emails). It then updates itself when I exit the messages app. Do you think it might have something to do with too many widgets on my homescreen? I don't have anything major...1x1 more icons, 1x4 smooth calendar, vibrate toggle, htc clock. Anyone else have this issue?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just flew from Raleigh, NC (eastern) to Chicago (central). The clock on the phone has the correct time but the weather/clock widget that came with the dinc is still on eastern time. When i tap on the widget the screen it takes me to shows the correct time but when I go back to the homescreen it's back to eastern. Any idea what's going on here?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have Flashed the LeeDrOiD v2.2b ROM and when accessing the Stock browser it will randomly crash, it's a strange crash because normally a crash will mean that you will exit from the browser and next time it will load to the homepage, on mine though it will sort of crash but then load the page I was on, even if it wasn't my homepage, if I had any tabs open I would also lose all of those, which is how I know it's crashing.
This isn't specific to this version of the ROM though as I've had this since v1.4, when I asked in the XDA forums they said it might be to do with re-installing my backed up data, basically I went from Android 2.1 to 2.2 when I Flashed the ROM and they said that backing up data when crossing over Android versions could cause problems.
What I have done this time though is not backup anything, no SMS, no system settings, nothing! I deleted everything off my SD Card, cleared the cache, then cleared the Dalvik cache, did a factory reset, Flashed the ROM and then Flashed the radio but still this problem exists, I haven't backed up anything this time, although when I logged into the Market with my Google account it synced my contacts back onto my phone, as they're linked to my Google account somehow.
This is really starting to annoy me now but I can't figure out for the life of me why it happens, I've tried replicating it to narrow down the cause but I can make it happen one time doing it a certain way but then doing it that way again it'll be fine.
Has anyone got any ideas of how I can overcome this problem or how to Flash the ROM so that my browser will work correctly, this browser problem is the only problem I have with the ROM, apart from that it is superb.
Any help very much appreciated!
EDIT: Also, the browser can crash whether I'm connected to a data plan/Wi-Fi or not!
So I notice flash does not work on this phone. Am I missing something? Seems odd that the big "f" appears on Such an advanced phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI found this site and tested it and it works so you can get Adobe Flash Player to work on your x10 version 2.1. I used the default web app and Dolphin HD browser and it worked through both:

Go to this site and download the apk file to you computer and manually load it onto your phone either by copying to your SD Card and installing. Or If you use MyPhone explorer software then install it though that, once installed re-boot your phone. I tested it on the Avatar web site below and it played exactly the same on the phone as the PC, you have to be patient and wait for Flash Player to load the clip and you really need to do this over a WiFi connection, tap the play arrow in the middle of the screen. But as I said be patient it wont happen immediately but it wont take too long, remember its a phone not a PC.

I've been using the stock browser and it's been playing flash content fine. I just installed Dolphin HD browser but for some reason it's not loading any flash content on any site. Anyone have any ideas why not? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and rebooting as well. I'm out of ideas. The stock browser still works though. I'm on FRF91, non-rooted.

1.Well I got the CM10 on a I9000 and i installed flash player on it. I used an old version of dolphin(from some thread) so i could enable flash.But whenever i go to a website to check out some videos it either says "You must install flash" or the website doesnt load.
2.I originally used opera 11.0.2 to play flash but now whenever i start a flash content it crashes with no errors.

I use this browser on my NokiaN95. It's ridiculously fast and it pretty much does everything, even Flash... I've posted a link to their platform requirements page which is way over my newbie head -- so if you are a bit technically minded, can you tell me if this would work on the Droid?
