I am asking cause i have 5.3, the OTA updater will not download the updates at all, its telling me that it cant be downloaded at this time~ it will only allow me to download 5.4 which i don't want. now cause the instructions tell you to flash the fix right after flashing the rom will it still work for me? really wanna try out one of these wallpapers ive downloaded.

I know I can use the touch responseive feature of live wallpapers (such as the nexus one) with the 2.1 launcher ported to 2.0.1. However is there any way to make that work with the 2.0.1 launcher? I much pefer that one but still would like to have the full features of live wallpapers.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've had my Hero for 6 months now and since I saw the release of the N1, I have had a big lust for Live Wallpapers. I downloaded the official 2.1 update from HTC but as I suspected, no Live wallpapers. My Hero is rooted and I have searched for a good live wallpapers ROM but cannot find one. So i was wondering if there is a good ROM that allows me to have Live Wallpapers while still maintaining Sense UI and 2.1. But I want one thats stable and everything works well (VillainROM is perfect but Wi-Fi doesn't work).

View 4 Replies View RelatedAnyone with launcher pro knows that regular wallpapers create a bad gradient with widgets and wallpapers themselves as it allows the launcher to work faster(?). Live wallpapers eliminate this. However I am unable to find a live wallpaper that just uses a regular image. Is there an app for that already or can someone make one? I don't imagine it would be very hard.

Like I said, I have no issues with the static wallpaper or even using the grass live wallpaper, but using the wallpaper above makes the entire screen unresponsive at times and I 'think' it's sort of buggy.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to make an android live wallpaper for Xperia P. The resolution for the screen is 540x960.
1) I exported the animation as .mp4 and it came out around 4mb. Is there a way to create an .apk using this mp4 file that will work as live wallpaper and if yes how?
2) Do I have to multiply the width if I want to fit more than one screens? So for three, would it be 540 x 3?
3) Can I just repeat the main live wallpaper(540x960) instead of multiplying the width so that the same animation appears on all screens?
I just wrote my first live wallpaper and am getting ready to publish it, but I've hit a snag on something seemingly simple. I can't get the description to work. I've tried: 1) Putting raw text and string ids as android:description in the metadata for the service in the manifest 2) Putting raw text and string ids as android:description in the service's resource xml file none of those work. I checked the 2 live cube wallpaper examples and neither of those set a description. How is the description (the text under the name of the app on the live wallpaper chooser screen) set for all of those defaults that ship on the nexus?

View 3 Replies View RelatedEver since I rooted my phone to Fresh 2.0D and learned how to do the Live Wallpapers hack as well, I have enjoyed my phone so much that I am changing my mind about getting the EVO. I am one of those geeks that has to have all the newest toys but since I've rooted and installed a custom Rom I find myself comparing my phone to the EVO and slowly realizing that my phone can be just as good. It really was the tethering thing that changed my mind. I think I will get the EVO once someone has learned to root it and do amazing things with it but until then, I am keeping the Hero. I truly love this phone.

Whenever I try to use it, it doesn't show my route like where I'm going. It looks like just a black screen in the middle and the voice doesn't work.

It's a music, video, and wallpaper converter in one. I guess it gets the job done as far as making wallpapers go, but you lose a lot of image quality in the process. View 3 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to use LWP in HTC Sense in Fresh? I know the flip guy sent out a fix for this, but that took away weather animations (and I like that). Also the LWP ran a bit laggy, as opposed to when I ran the LWP with the undo fix. The issue is though, when I run it with the fix undone, whenever I wake the phone up, it disappears. Is this some sort of remedy for this.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI updated my Evo to 2.2 when it came out, but I just noticed something about flash in the browser: I cannot interact with any of the buttons. For example, when browsing the youtube full site in the browser (not the youtube app) you can hit the button to turn on captions, and hit the other button to switch to HD resolution. For some reason, I cant figure out how to hit those buttons. I tried zooming in all the way, and I hit the resolution button, and the resolutions popped up for about .5 of a second, then went away, its too quick to hit it. I tried double tapping the flash to make it full screen and that doesnt work either. The only thing I can get to work is the slider bar, which seems to work fine.

When I turn the phone off to charge at the end of the day, upon restart it defaults to the htc colors wallpaper.Is there something I'm doing wrong, is there a setting I'missed to retain the "water" live wallpaper after restart, or is this just normal behavior?
