Motorola Droid :: Receiving Replacement It Rendered Defective Due Too Loose Screen
Jul 1, 2010So my boyfriend has the Moto Droid. Every night he puts it on charger dock and in the morning picks phone up and its 100%, five minutes later it will die completely. He bought a new battery, plus a battery charger, a new car charger and home charger but it still does it. Basically has to be charged all day long to be used. Has this happened to anyone else?
Also, tried replacing. Upon receiving replacement it was rendered defective due too loose screen. New one coming friday.

Aug 11, 2010Please help, I am starting to get pissed off at this phone. I know there is a setting on the browser to turn off the mobile versions of internet web pages, but upchucking that box still doesn't do it. I still get mobile versions of web pages. I thought the Dinc/droids were similar to the iPhones in this regard about not being "a version of the internet" but the ACTUAL internet. Someone correct me where I'm wrong. I can't get the mobile version turned off no matter what I do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Aug 6, 2010I'm fairly certain that I've got a defective battery in this thing. It's constantly running hot, and sometimes it gets up to over 110 degrees. Battery life is AWFUL and I've tried every tweak and fix I can find. Will VZW replace this for me?

Jun 11, 2010I have a HTC Incredible that I bought from Verizon Wireless. When holding the phone I experience a zap/numbness down the arm. I had three other people hold my phone and they all experienced the same problem. I tried reporting the problem to Verizon 9 times to help me get a temporary phone while the Incredible is on back order. However, they come back to me saying to either continue using the phone or you must get another phone and hold on to it for two years. I emailed the CEO and finally got a call back from executive relations. Now they keep calling me demanding to have the phone back.

I clicked on PDF, and low and behold there is something that was downloaded to the SD card as a PDF on it. I did not download this, which means they gave me a used SD card with the replacement phone ( sketchy right?) Anyway, I want to delete the pdf, how do i do it? I know there is an uninstall place somewhere, just not sure where it is. Also how do I check to see what else is on the SD card?

HTC Incredible : About To Get Replacement Phone - Nandroid Backup?
Aug 20, 2010I saw some similar threads in other phone forums (eris, EVO) but I'm wondering if anyone has had luck with this on the Dinc.
Verizon is shipping me what I assume is a refuted phone. If I turn it on, root it, and throw in my old SD card, will there be any trouble doing a typical nandroid restore?
i saw written previous issues of the title of the nandroid folder name (something about the correct phone serial number?)
edit: alternative could be titanium backup, but i don't know if one's preferable to the other.

Aug 11, 2010When i am receiving a call.. i try to answer the phone..the phone doesn't answer sometime like it is on mute then they hang up..i think because i hit the accept wrong or something.. the phone is acting weird when i receive a call.. this seem to be a problem? how can i get a replacement if u guys know? it happen to me 2 or 3 times already.. if it continues i want a replacement!

My wifes EVO isn't quite as fast as mine for some reason and apps crash a lot....she is at work now trying to use pandora and it plays for about 20 seconds and stops working. It has asked her if she wants to force close it twice already today.....Her coworkers have sprint and they are using pandora next to her with no problem so its not coverage. Jun 21, 2010I called tech support because of the numerous issues I've been having with my Inc (sound issues, in call sound dropping out with call still in progress, pink screen, unresponsive screen, weird lock ups, etc.).They told me I wouldn't get a replacement until July 19.I finally told her to order it but after much work, the system wouldn't let her order it at all.She got really flustered and finally got tired of messing with it and transferred me to tech support.Fortunately, I was transferred to a really helpful tech who really understanding.She also tried unsuccessfully to order it.She out the next two days but is having a coworker follow up and she will continue to help me sort it out if it isn't already by Wednesday.So we'll see what happens.One way or another she's promised to get me a working phone though I don't know if it will be an Inc.Just thought folks might find it interesting that at the moment, it can't be ordered internally.

However, I'd much rather have the SLCD screen because the text is much sharper since the screens use the typical RGB pixel layout as opposed to the RGBG PenTile layout of the AMOLED screens. Jul 14, 2010I've been looking at these forums and some say they get 15hours + on regular usuage and others such ass myself get 6. Im pretty sure by now all of us have our settings pretty much the same. Gps,wifi,bt,background data off. Turn screen brigtness down etc. I think that maybe there's a bad batch of batteries out here....When the palm pre came out EVERYBODY had bad battery life so it was no question. With evo its some have horrible batt life, some have aweome batt life and the rest don't use it enough to actually know.

There are only a couple of things that I miss from stock sense. The one that I am after is a bookmark widget. I can't find any on the market. This got me thinking about widgets in general. There should be a list of widgets somewhere for people going to vanilla Roms. Is there such a list anywhere? We need one similar to the rooted apps thread. Just a thought. And if someone has any thoughts on a bookmark widget, that would be awesome. Or would the stock one work and where can I find it?

Aug 31, 2010I had to replace my Incredible as it developed a screen malfunction. The replacement has its own problems; namely, it reacts slowly to almost everything. In fact, as I sit here, it's locked up after I tried to play a video my wife sent me that I had played earlier today with no problem. It got catatonic on me the other evening; only recourse was to pull the battery (which it's looking like I'll have to do now). And text input presents its own problems (like getting the character a long keypress would get you, but about five seconds after I tap on the key). Is there anything that can be done for this replacement short of demanding another replacement?
