May 3, 2010I know this is not a big deal but it is still bothersome. When I try to run video while on Yahoo's site I get message "Cannot play video - Sorry this video cannot be played." I have no issues with ESPN, Cnet, etc. I'm able to run these yahoo videos on my wife's Eris with 2.1 (v.3).
Anyone know how to deal with this issue?
HTC Incredible :: Fring App - Video Calling Works On Incredible
May 27, 2010It doesn't have a front facing camera like Evo BUT the Fring app works perfectly and will let you do video calls with the Incredible. This is actually excellent news for me. A lot of the times I couldn't care less who sees me but I want to see them (daughter, wife, etc.). This way they can look at what I'm looking at while I see them.

Jun 9, 2010Nexus HD do you all think there may be a software update or something in the future that will upgrade the video-taking capabilities of our Incredible? I'm assuming that we could since the Incredible is nearly identical to the Nexus One, and it's actually a bit better in several areas. I know HD video is kind of dumb on a smartphone, but wouldn't it be nice to just have it? Then the iPhone 4 has only got a bit of battery life, frontfacing camera and gyroscope over the Incredible.

May 6, 2010I have some videos that I have encoded for use on my iPod. I'd love to get them working on the DI; however, only the audio works when they videos are going. Tried it using the stock video player and the Act 1 player. I converted them using Handbrake as mp4 videos. I have been poking around with different settings for about an hour now and nothing has worked.

Jun 7, 2010So I was playing around with a file manager and logged into my home server through FTP. I have a few movies saved onto my media card but I was wondering if there is an app that would allow me to login to my home server (through ftp or something) and let me browse my vids and stream them through. In the file manager I tried and it sais that streaming wasnt available and proceeded to download the file. It would play once it was fully transfered. Any avi streamers out there?

HTC Incredible :: Act 1 Video Player
Aug 3, 2010I downloaded a paid version of Act 1 Video Player and I just couldn't find any movies to watch. When I tried the Search for Videos button, it opens up "ipod mp4 videos" which when I tried a video is not supported by HTC Incredible.Can someone please help me as to how / steps to watch video using Act 1 Video Player? Is there a website that I can go to download movies that I can watch through Act 1 Video Player?

May 7, 2010Just wondering if anyone else experiences choppy video when playing say like flash video from ESPN or if you try to watch a video from NBC.com. The video playback on Youtube is great but seems like all other video is really unwatchable. I also tried over my wi-fi and made no difference.

Every time a shoot a video, it says it's too large. I've even tried shooting <8second videos.I know that Froyo is supposed to have a tool to optimize videos for YouTube and mms, but we all know that's months away for us DI owners.If you don't have basic settings options, is there an app for it?

Jun 3, 2010i noticed while putting movies on my phone storage, not my sd card, that files over 2 GB will not play. This is bad.I converted The Dark Knight the same as I convert all my other movies. It would play on my computer but not my phone. So I checked the "Details" of the file on my phone. It showed as 0 bytes when it should have been 2.09 GB.I thought it might have converted with an error. Converted it two more times. Same problem. Finally I converted it with a lower resolution to bring the size down to 1.8 GB. It plays just fine.

Aug 4, 2010I have quite a few videos recorded in .m4v which will noth play on the Incredible. I have Hand Brake and DVD Fab 7. I tried DVD Fab 7 but it errors out trying to record them in WMV. Hand Brake seems to only record them in .m4v. Anyone have a good converter to recommend? I tried syncing with Media player but it still puts it in the wrong format.

Oct 16, 2010Im having an issue sending a video on my incredible. i dont understand whats going on and i dont think im doing something wrong but who knows...
I went into camcorder, changed everything to defult. i changed the resolution to the 640 and was able to send up two a 2 second video. then i went to the lowest resolution which was like 320 or whatever and was able to send up to a 5 second video. thats about it... i sat on the phone with verizon maybe...2 hours? THEY could not figure it out. they said they has to borrow another verizon enployee's phone to mess with it and she kept getting the same issue saying the file is two large. its set for 30 seconds, then 20 seconds, 15, 10, all of them will not work over 5 seconds of a video to send. they said they dont understand why there is nothing in the settings saying switch to mms or sms or something and contacting someone to update that asap because it made no sence to them. i dont understand this and its getting annoying.
So then, i tried downloading some app called youcast or whatever, and it kind of worked. it says it bypasses the size limit or whatever. i sent a video to my friend and it says he got it, but needs to download the app first to view it. im waiting to hear from him if he downloads it and is able to view it. but that still sucks because what if you dont have an android? then youcast wont work.
And not only is this issue with me, but 6 of my friends with the htc incredible are not able to send videos either after they messed around with it all.
So my questions are...
Is there any other apps out there like youcast that might work or be better too?
My settings right now on camcorder are...
white balance: auto
resolution: QVGA(320x240) and i tried switching around between that all the way to 720p(1280x720)
storagehone storage and i have switched to storage card
encoding type MPEG4
Recording Limit: 30 seconds. again i tried all other settings.
