HTC Incredible :: Enter Contacts Into DInc?
Jun 30, 2010I just got my new DInc and I was wondering if there is a better way to enter contact info/phone numbers. I was using a blackberry on Tmobile, and just received my DInc via the mail. Do I need to enter in all my old numbers manually? Or is there an easier way to do it?

May 3, 2010I've taken several photos on my HTC Incredible and want to upload them to my PC. I tried using the Hard drive function but when I look in the file manager on my PC desktop, I don't see any folders containing the photos I just took. They're in the phone, honest, just can't upload them. How do I do it? I even downloaded a file manager (Astro?) from the droid store but it had dozens and dozens of folders and I have no clue. The manual says photos I take are stored on the sim card so I even tried taking that out, putting it into the SanDisk adapter and plugged that into a multiple card reader and still couldn't find the photos. Where the hell are they?

A friend of mine sent me a mms with a sound file attached that I want to use when receiving text messages. I clicked the message & saved the file but cant seem to locate it anywhere. Anyone know how I can locate this file & set it as my default text sound?

Jun 8, 2010At first i though that the slight clicking I felt while typing was due my Seidio case. But after removing it, I noticed that it was still there. Its a slight clicking feeling as you type when you get the haptic feedback. Sometime when typing on the screen but most of the time when Im typing and go press one of the screen buttons. Almost like the haptic feedback motor is causing something to click on the phone physically. Anyone else having this issue?

May 7, 2010I have searched everywhere on the forums and Google and can't seem to find how to type the special character referred to as a Backtick or more accurately known as a Grave Accent. It is the character usually located just under the ESC key on your keyboard and is usually shared with the Tilde (~). From my searches I have learned that this character is often used in certain programming languages and such. I need this character on my Incredible as I use it in many of my passwords. It seems that phones with a physical keyboard have a way to type the backtick using a set of keystrokes. I used to have a Blackberry Storm and its soft keyboard contained this character.

Nov 14, 2010I have a Droid Incredible that I rooted with UnRevoked3 about a week ago. I want to do a hard reset, but it just sticks at the first white "HTC Incredible" boot screen. I get the same result if I try to enter recovery mode. I can get into HBOOT ok by pressing the vol down and power button, but if I select any option it locks on the "htc Incredible" boot screen. I searched around for this problem for an hour and I've come up dry.

May 1, 2010I switched from my Motorola Droid to the Incredible a few days ago and the one thing I have noticed is that on the Motorola in landscape mode on the touchscreen keyboard was a send button to send the text right from that screen. Is this possible on the incredible in anyway on sense ui? Its driving me nuts to have to lower the keyboard or hit back button to send it. Any idea? I know its a minimal problem, but its annoying to me.

The google maps only seems to work via wifi. when not connected it usually does not work using GPS. but i have a GPS tracker & that works all the time telling me longitude & latitude & how many sats it sees. Jul 20, 2010Tried a bit of a buggy ROM and not happy with the outcome.Now, I followed the very helpful guide for one-click rooting to add the new ROM but I wanna switch to the LeeDroid 1.4 release now so what do I need to do? I'm thinking a complete wipe would probably be best so gonna format my backed-up SD card as well and partition it for a2sd+ but can anyone just run me quickly through what I need to do with ClockworkMod etc. to scrub off the old ROM and install the new one pretty please?

Jun 17, 2010I'm a former Palm Pre user who recently purchased a Sprint Evo. Although I miss the hard keyboard, I'm learning to use swype. I have a newbie question. Is there anyway to turn the screen back on, once it has turned off, other than pressing the on button. On my Pre, all I had to do was slide the keyboard to turn the screen back on. The Evo's power button is difficult to press, especially using the phone with one hand. Looking forward to any answers. Maybe there is a program that will turn the screen back on when I shake the phone?

Motorola Droid X :: Newbie With Improving X Performance?
Jul 24, 2010Hey guys, can you do me a favor and go to running services and flick up and down a few times and tell me if you ever get any lag when scrolling all the way up and down? I do every time I go into it and I just don't know if it is normal or not. I see little hickups here and there when I am scrolling but it's always noticeable in the running services screen.( I have LP set to high memory)I am wondering if I have an app slowing things down for me. My battery life hasn't been good either (4-5 hours per charge) and it seems my free memory is low. After a fresh reboot it is 97 + 124 in 34 -- other 87 in 9.I love the phone and would never give it up, but would love it more if it was a bit smoother and more battery life (like lots of others are seeming to get).

Jul 14, 2010I have made what I think is the mistake of setting up all of my contacts in my Incredible as "phone" contacts. I now understand that these should have been set up as Google contacts so that they will be backed up on my Google account. I do not see a way to edit these contacts to change them from phone to Google. Am I going to have to delete and re-enter all of these contacts as Google contacts to get this done?
