Motorola Droid :: Can't Type In Password To Enter My Voice Mail
Jul 16, 2010new to Droid here and loving it. Much better then the Eris in my mind. One quick question: when I try to check my voice mail and it ask me to type in password and hit pound button for some reason when I hit dial pad it flashes on and off and doesn't let me keep it on to punch in my password. Any thoughts on how I can fix that. When I notice I have a voice mail I swipe the notification bar and dial voice mail that way.

Mar 3, 2010I have had this same problem happen twice to me on 2 different phones on 2 different Verizon accounts!
The password screen locks and when it asks for the user name and password it states invalid user name / password!
Is this a known problem since when I called and talked to both Verizon and HTC the only thing they could tell me was to do a hard reset and they weren't aware of this problem?

Dec 16, 2013 I have a Galaxy SII i777 4.1.2, rooted. Things were going ok after the factory reset, but I noticed that the battery was taking forever to charge and was draining extremely fast. I don't know if the fact that the telephone was running my data manager, data usage defender, battery doctor, watchdog and memory booster for one day has anything to do with this (although the battery drainage and high consumption of data was before I installed those apps and it was the reason why I did installed them this time). But today (hours after I uninstalled battery doctor, data usage defender and memory booster) the battery got quickly drained and the phone seemed dead (it didn't want to turn on and i couldn't see the icon indicating it was charging when connected). So, I inserted my sister's battery, took it out, and put my battery again. This time the phone turned on, BUT I see a message saying "enter password to use encrypted device storage." I only use four passwords for all my accounts but none of them work. I have tried different wrong passwords (as recommended) like 30 times, and nothing happens. I read somewhere that I could start ODIN, which I'm not knowledgeable of. But I don't know what to do. I pressed the power button and the volume keys, and all is showing is a green man icon and a "Downloading" message. It's been like an hour already and it keeps "downloading."
I don't remember having encrypted my phone. And if I did, I could have only used one of my four passwords.

Does the samsung moment have an option to lock your phone and enter a password to get in? Jan 1, 2010so randomly my phone will just freeze in the lock mode and i will be unable to unlock it. i can't power it off or do anything but be frustrated till whatever time it decides to rejoin the living.

Sep 2, 2010I've had this phone long enough. It was cool compared to a dumb phone. But after a while, freezing, lag, phantom restarts, poor signal, and random switches have surpassed my patience.
I am going to switch to a Droid X. I heard good things. Few complaints. The HTC Inc. and Sam. Fascinate is nice but I'd rather not have a dead battery by noon everyday.

Nov 17, 2010I had Swype, all was good. Then it started freezing my screen, or misguiding the touch to the point that removing the battery was the only option. It was not a phone issue, because I factory reset and it works now. I had to because disabling Swype did not solve the problem. Is there any beta or anything out there?I CAN'T GO BACK TO TOUCH INPUT!

Aug 7, 2010I'm having trouble with my superuser app and wireless tethering. I just flashed a new rom (xtrSENSE) and successfully set up tethering on my phone. However, I think I screwed something up after that. I allowed permission for access, and went back in to the superuser app later, clicked on the corresponding line and it disappeared. When I went back in to tether my phone today, it transferred to the SU app and promptly froze, later force closing. Every attempt since has had the same result.
I have tried changing several settings and even flashed a new rom (aloysius) to try to fix it. I have no idea what I did, but it freezes then force closes every time I try to get into the SU app. The only thing i can imagine I did is click on the permission but I don't know how that can screw things up. Anyone know what I did or have suggestions to fix? I'm really missing tethering. Thanks!
Went back to an old nandroid backup and restarted my phone... all better now. No idea what the problem was, but it clearly was user error. Sorry to clutter up the boards.

May 14, 2010I recently received the OTA update to my Eris and am loving the new interface. However every time I want to unlock my phone I am now required to enter an 8 digit password as opposed to the screen pattern I was using prior. From messing around I realized that this is due to the fact that my company's exchange account requires SSL encryption and therefore requires the password be entered to unlock the phone. My question is whether there is a way to keep my email but only require the screen pattern to unlock my phone? I know iPhone users at my company that are still fine entering their 4 digit code so have to assume we should be able to do the same.

Mar 12, 2010I've tried AutoLock and LockBot and maybe I didn't set an option correctly, but I can't seem to get a password or pattern unlock after a reboot/power off/on cycle.Both work fine during normal power on operations, but when I power cycle the phone it just comes up with the normal swipe unlock right into an open Eris with no password/pattern required. Kind of defeats the purpose by allow a bypass of the security.Maybe I'm missing something here or having a Homer moment.
