Basically what I need to do is to perform digest authentication. First thing I tried is the official example available here.
But when I try to execute it(with some small changes, Post instead of the the Get method) I get a
CODE:..................
When this failed I tried using:
CODE:.................
At first I have only overridden "realm" and "nonce" DigestScheme parameters. But it turned out that PHP script running on the server requires all other params, but no matter if I specify them or not DigestScheme doesn't generate them in the Authorization RequestPreperty when I call its authenticate() method. And PHP script returns HTTP response code 200 with a message that PHP script requires cnonce, nc and qop parameters.

I'm using URLConnection to connect to the main server. The server implements digest authentication. If I connect to the server with java library, the connection is successful. But if I use the same code for android, the connection is rejected for the reason - username and password do not match.
Here is the code for my Java project:
code:...........
The above code works fine and I'm able to connect to my host server which is implementing digest authentication. I'm unable to use the same code for Android to connect.
Here is my android code:
code:.........
If the same code works for Java, it should also work for Android.
The code loops in the Authenticator as it finds username and password not matching in the Android code for some reason which in fact are correct. The code runs perfect for Java project.

just downloaded this yesterday and it really has potential! powered by the golf channel, this thing will search for deals for you. just plug in the state, day you want to play, # of golfers, and the kind of discount you want and it'll find it for you. this app is still young so i think it has lots of potential. only has south jersey for right now.

I am curious about the accuracy of the motorola droid GPS, before installing a golf app. Can these units pinpoint to within a few yards or is the area fairly wide.

I think I am ready for some testers for a GPS Golf application. This will be my first Android application so I am looking for someone that is a little tech savvy (knows how to install 3rd party application etc..). The application right now is fairly simple, but it does display some GPS information.I currently don't have an Android device (working on it) so if you don't even golf and just want to help out a developer then that would be great to!I can send a link to the apk file from an email or a PM.Just post to this thread or send me an email at howfarami [at] gmail [dot] com.

I'm looking for an app that will act as a scorecard and also be able to track stats such as fairways hit, greens in regulation, up & downs, sand saves, etc. Added bonus if it will calculate my handicap. Anyone out there have any favorites? Paid apps are okay. GPS distances are not a priority for me.

I am a golf professional from Pennsylvania. I am looking for an app that I can:
-Record and import videos taken w/ the Droid
-Slowmotion Playback (forward and reverse)
-Frame by Frame Playback (forward and reverse)
-Save clips by video angle (down the line, face on, etc)
-Ability to draw lines/shapes on the screen w/ various drawing tools. If anyone has any interest, please let me know. I am not sure how to go about developing this type of stuff, so anyone who can provide some insight, it would be much appreciated.

Wondering what the experiences have bee with using the Evo with a golf gps app. I have used the iPhone and it is pretty accurate. I am test driving a Captivate, in anticipation of the Epic, and the GPS is awful (as documented on this forum). The Epic GPS issue is causing me to look at the Evo instead. I use GPS while traveling all the time and is a must have. I figure if the Evo is accurate on the golf course it will be great on the road.

I went online to check the rates at a local golf course, had to download it to sd card because they have it as a pdf file, no problems. I decided that i would send this file to a friend, wanted to send it via text, couldn't figure it out, then tried to send it as an email couldn't figure that out either. There must be a way to do this, or maybe I need a app that I don't know about. Any help would be great, Thanks

CREDIT TO GOODANDEVO.NET. u'll be redirected to the EVO-optimized site where you'll see a limited offer to get Let's Golf at no cost if you download the company's HD games bookmark, which can be uninstalled with no consequence after you get the game. As with all of Gameloft's HD games, Let's Golf usually costs a penny shy of . The game can't be transferred to another device or reinstalled (even if it's backed up), so don't uninstall it or do a hard reset unless you want to contact Gameloft to see if you can get it again.It isn't clear how much longer the free game will be available, so get it now! o download go to the gameloft.com site on your evo using ou default browser.

I'm trying to open a dialog window, but every time I try to open it it throws this exception:
CODE:.................
I'm creating it by calling showDialog with the display's id. The onCreateDialog handler logs fine and I can step through it without an issue, but I've attached it since it seems like I'm missing something:
CODE:............
Is there something missing from this? Some questions have talked about having this problem when creating a dialog from onCreate, which happen because the activity isn't created yet, but this is coming from a call from a menu object, and the appContext variable seems like it is correctly populated in the debugger.

I'm writing an application which connects to a back office site. The backoffice site contains a whole slew of JavaScript functions, at least 100 times the average site. Unfortunately it does not load them, and causes much of the functionality to not work properly. So I am running a test. I put a page out on my server which loads the FireBugLite javascript text. Its a lot of javascript and perfect to test and see if the Android WebView will load it. The WebView loads nothing, but the browser loads the Firebug Icon. What on earth would make the difference, why can it run in the browser and not in my WebView? Any suggestions.
More background information, in order to get the stinking backoffice application available on a Droid (or any other platform except windows) I needed to trick the bakcoffice application to believe what's accessing the website is Internet Explorer. I do this by modifying the WebView User Agent.Also for this application I've slimmed my landing page, so I could give you the source to offer me aid. package ksc.myKMB;
import android.app.Activity;
import android.app.AlertDialog;
import android.app.Dialog;
import android.app.ProgressDialog;
import android.content.DialogInterface;
import android.graphics.Bitmap;
import android.os.Bundle;
import android.view.Menu;
import android.view.MenuInflater;
import android.view.MenuItem;
import android.view.Window;
import android.webkit.WebChromeClient;
import android.webkit.WebView;
import android.webkit.WebSettings;
import android.webkit.WebViewClient;
import android.widget.Toast;
public class myKMB extends Activity {
I already have JavaScript on the web browser on, the problem is the web view is acting to different from the web browser.

1- Does Android Browser (Éclair code base) support the "plug-in" or not?
2- Why "Google Gears" support is removed from the clair code base?
I searched the forum and came to know that earlier version of the Android does not support it at all? Here is the link for that, but this query asked in Dec'2008.

At first,I have a database created by using Ruby on rails.I just already implement insert function(HTTPPost) in my Android Application and it's work.But I don't know how to retrieve specific record from my databases and insert it back to specific record in Android (Like edit function in RoR)This is my insert code :
private void insertComment() {DefaultHttpClient client = new DefaultHttpClient();HttpPost post = new HttpPost("http://10.10.3.87:3000/comments");
// Configure the form parameters
List<NameValuePair> nvps = new ArrayList<NameValuePair>();
nvps.add(new BasicNameValuePair("comment[content]", t_comment.getText().toString();
nvps.add(new BasicNameValuePair("comment[id_account]", "1"));
nvps.add(new BasicNameValuePair("comment[id_place]", Integer.toString(position)I really try many ways out but it doesn't work and it takes very long time to fight with this piece of code. Actually, I really don't know how to specify RowID to HTTPPost.
