Someone posted in another thread that this was possible but I have no idea how. I can't install from the market and I cant even install from my previous version saved with Titanium Backup. Any other way to go about getting this?

I updated using the update zip and it worked I have froyo but instead of flash I see boxes with little green arrows pointing down.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo I have been using the cigarette light adapter and separate 1 ft cable, both of which i got from monoprice. They worked fine before i got froyo. Since i got froyo, when i plug it in, the red/orange light just blinks on and off and my screen turns on and off. Not sure if anyone else is having this problem but i have to be able to charge!
View 5 Replies View RelatedI decided to try to goto Froyo. I have never previously rooted before this experience. I followed the instructions here and on the Internets and was successfully able to update my phone in the following order: Now I am unable to *228 and program with either a 1 or a 2. The message "programming in progress" does come up but after about 10 seconds, the voice tells me that I cannot update at this time and I should call customer service. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to troubleshoot. I assume its due to the upgrade and not a coincidence.

View 8 Replies View RelatedOn Friday I got my Froyo upgrade, and since then everything is fine except I discovered that when on calls I can no longer hear anything through the internal speaker... the only way to hear anything is by switching to speakerphone.
Any idea what has caused this? Is my hardware busted?
It will not successfully installed. Can anyone else confirm this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got the OTA Froyo update for my HTC Incredible on Verizon. Now when i go in to the People application and touch the icon next to a person's name, the menu comes up with two "phones" on it, one to make a call, and one where gtalk used to be. When i touch the second phone, it brings up a list of crazy apps to associate it with. Most of the apps to associate are not actually anything.
Has anyone esle experienced this? I'm not rooted (yet) and to be honest im growing tired of the junky HTC apps on this thing. I'd love to just have the android contacts manager because i think it'll interface better than the htc ones.
After upgrading to froyo, I have 3 problems that did not exist before.
1. Laggy keyboard. I do not type crazy fast, but a lot of times I will be hitting letters, and nothing appears on the screen for a second or two.
2. Calendar not syncing with google. I have different calendars set up in my google calendar (bills, birthdays, etc). I have about 5 calendars with different settings, and only a few sync. I went into settings on the phone, and all are checked to sync.
3. Text message alerts. Notification by icon in notification bar and sound is sporadic, and a lot of times I have new messages with no indication.
I see Engadget claims its working on all Android 2.2 phones, but I cant seem to get it to work on my Incredible.

Usually the texts also appear in my Google Voice App, but since today the people haven't been getting my texts. I know this by them telling me and the texts not appearing in my GV app.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have my phone set up with an All Call Block (outgoing caller ID blocked) with VZW. When I make a GV call using the Android app, it says something about the call can't be completed as dialed. Does the app not work with phones that have an All Call Block? I did call VZW to remove the block, but, since it's a corporate account, I needed a password, which I didn't have. But, I think she removed it prior to asking me for the password and GV appears to be working now. I want to see if anyone can confirm that definitely was the reason and if there are any workarounds for using the GV app and keeping my All Call Block. I can make a blocked GV call by manually dialing *67 then my GV # and using the dial out method, but that defeats the purpose of the GV app since that makes everything so easy. I guess the difference in using the GV app vs using a non-android phone is that the GV app dials a "special" number so, if I have the All Call Block, it can't see who I am I thought I recalled that if I dialed my GV number from my non-android phone with the All Call Block, it still recognized me (which is possible since the block only blocks caller ID, but the true number is still sent in the stream). So, bottom line, can I not use the GV app if I have All Call Block or is there a workaround?

Sounds like my internet is broken? ITS NOT. whatsapp and opera mini, web browser is still working 100% and able to connect
I have tried:
turning sync of and on
clear the cache of various google apps
turning the phone off and on
The last action I did before it worked was to uninstall the 'microsoft outlook app'.
I just updated to froyo and there are 2 issues. Video camera freezes after recording a clip, and the GPS wont work. It would normally detect my location in less than 15 seconds, but now takes forever. The only way to locate is using wifi or mobile network. it: Unmounted SD card, restarted device, took battery out for 30 secs and put it back. Everything works as it should now.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a droid x n have been trying to get hulu to play since I got the phone. I was told that 2.2 would have flash 10.1 support. When I got the update july worked flawlessly. A few hours later every video gave me a "this video is unavailable, if u continue to receive this message clear ur cache" so I did n nothing changed. I went check my flash n the flash player had uninstalled itself. I reinstalled n applied the update n got the same result. I tried other flash sites n they r not working(only flash games work, no videos).
I brought my phone to Verizon n they gave me a replacement saying it should b able to play. The new phone is doing the same thing. Is this a skimmed down version of flash or is the flash support crazy? Y will this not play after hours of flawless performance? It also freezes the browser everytime, full episode or clip, any show. Is there a Divx web player yet? I know u can use ur pc as a server to stream them through, but can I pull up movies from icefilms.info or alluc.org directly through the browser?
just installed the official 2.2 update for my htc Desire (2.09.405.8). Cant seem to get any apps to install to the SD card, even ones that are listed that support app2sd, google sky map for example. I have uninstalled and reinstalled this app.Do I have to format / partition the SD card in order for the native froyo app2sd feature to work?When I plug the phone into my PC I get the following folders ".android_secure" but its empty. When go into manage applications, and click on the SD card tab, no apps are displayed. when I click on the downloads tab, and then google sky map the "move to SD card" is greyed out.

There is a CELB 1.9 rom (aka erislightning bolt froyo) that has WORKING cam...the gallery still goes funky when you try to view sideways but the cam DOES indeed have a working preview!

It can no longer kill another program after setting the countdown timer. I used to use it every night to listen to music and then have it shut everything down. My understanding after talking with the developer is that Froyo has removed the ability for developers to kill programs. Supposedly with root access there is workaround, but I am not rooted. Unfortunate, it's a great app and hopefully something that will be allowed in future Android versions.

If I turn off USB debugging everything works fine, the phone charges and the DX applet launches like normal. Turning on USB debugging kills everything, phone doesn't charge, applet doesn't launch & ADB doesn't find my device. I'm running Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Any ideas?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI installed 2.2 the ligit way, searched for updates and asked if I wanted to download 2.2 so I did. Now HTC Sense will not even start when I switch on the phone. The phone starts and then says "loading..." and while it's loading it shows that lovely application error, normally you just click "force close" but application that's breaking is actually HTC Sense and the "force close" button is grayed out, then the phone restarts with the white screen and green HTC logo and then gets to the "loading..." part and then HTC Sense breaks again and the phone is stuck in an infinite loop.
