Aug 3, 2010Market place isn't working since I upgraded to froyo. I have done a re boot and it didn't fix it. Anyone know a fix for this.

HTC EVO 4G :: Market And People App Force Closing Or Not Working After Froyo
Aug 9, 2010I updated to 2.2 with fresh 3. "whatever" now my market will not open and the people app keeps force closing, if anyone could offer any fixes it would be greatly appreciated. i did do a wipe cache and divche cache or whatever that spelling is. i did not do a factory reset as i thought i might lose my root that way, was i supposed to do that wipe also. is there a 3rd party app that could be conflicting. my apologies if this question has already been posted, ive searched this forum and xda and the net to no avail on fixing this specific problem on my evo.

Oct 7, 2010Got my Desire just under a months ago. Had to return it for endless restarting & freezing 2 days ago. Got an unbranded replacement. Just did the O2 OTA upgrade and I notice I have no Market app. (I may be missing other things also, I don't know, since I'm a fairly new user).

Oct 15, 2010I just installed Froyo in Kies. Everything went smoothly and the phone seems to work like a charm after installation. The only thing weird but not bad was that all the applications were in different order. BUT the first bad thing I noticed was that the Android Market application was gone! Is this normal? Can I get it back somehow?

HTC Desire :: GPS Not Working After Froyo
Aug 1, 2010I just updated to froyo and there are 2 issues. Video camera freezes after recording a clip, and the GPS wont work. It would normally detect my location in less than 15 seconds, but now takes forever. The only way to locate is using wifi or mobile network. it: Unmounted SD card, restarted device, took battery out for 30 secs and put it back. Everything works as it should now.

Aug 3, 2010I downloaded the FroYo OTA update, and my external speaker quit working. The earpiece still works, plugging in headphones still work, but I get no notification sounds, music, whatever out of the other speaker. Anyone else? Any fix?

Sep 29, 2010I have a droid x n have been trying to get hulu to play since I got the phone. I was told that 2.2 would have flash 10.1 support. When I got the update july worked flawlessly. A few hours later every video gave me a "this video is unavailable, if u continue to receive this message clear ur cache" so I did n nothing changed. I went check my flash n the flash player had uninstalled itself. I reinstalled n applied the update n got the same result. I tried other flash sites n they r not working(only flash games work, no videos).
I brought my phone to Verizon n they gave me a replacement saying it should b able to play. The new phone is doing the same thing. Is this a skimmed down version of flash or is the flash support crazy? Y will this not play after hours of flawless performance? It also freezes the browser everytime, full episode or clip, any show. Is there a Divx web player yet? I know u can use ur pc as a server to stream them through, but can I pull up movies from icefilms.info or alluc.org directly through the browser?

Aug 2, 2010just installed the official 2.2 update for my htc Desire (2.09.405.8). Cant seem to get any apps to install to the SD card, even ones that are listed that support app2sd, google sky map for example. I have uninstalled and reinstalled this app.Do I have to format / partition the SD card in order for the native froyo app2sd feature to work?When I plug the phone into my PC I get the following folders ".android_secure" but its empty. When go into manage applications, and click on the SD card tab, no apps are displayed. when I click on the downloads tab, and then google sky map the "move to SD card" is greyed out.

There is a CELB 1.9 rom (aka erislightning bolt froyo) that has WORKING cam...the gallery still goes funky when you try to view sideways but the cam DOES indeed have a working preview!

HTC EVO 4G :: Why Sleep Timer Not Working With Froyo?
Aug 5, 2010It can no longer kill another program after setting the countdown timer. I used to use it every night to listen to music and then have it shut everything down. My understanding after talking with the developer is that Froyo has removed the ability for developers to kill programs. Supposedly with root access there is workaround, but I am not rooted. Unfortunate, it's a great app and hopefully something that will be allowed in future Android versions.

Aug 20, 2010Hoping someone has a fix, ADB no longer sees my device after the update. If I turn off USB debugging everything works fine, the phone charges and the DX applet launches like normal. Turning on USB debugging kills everything, phone doesn't charge, applet doesn't launch & ADB doesn't find my device. I'm running Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Any ideas?

Sep 19, 2010I installed 2.2 the ligit way, searched for updates and asked if I wanted to download 2.2 so I did. Now HTC Sense will not even start when I switch on the phone. The phone starts and then says "loading..." and while it's loading it shows that lovely application error, normally you just click "force close" but application that's breaking is actually HTC Sense and the "force close" button is grayed out, then the phone restarts with the white screen and green HTC logo and then gets to the "loading..." part and then HTC Sense breaks again and the phone is stuck in an infinite loop.

Jul 29, 2010I decided to try to goto Froyo. I have never previously rooted before this experience. I followed the instructions here and on the Internets and was successfully able to update my phone in the following order: Now I am unable to *228 and program with either a 1 or a 2. The message "programming in progress" does come up but after about 10 seconds, the voice tells me that I cannot update at this time and I should call customer service. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to troubleshoot. I assume its due to the upgrade and not a coincidence.

May 23, 2010Anybody else having this problem in 2.2? I'm not sure if it ever worked or whether it stopped working since I did the update last night. I tried changing the pulse notification light setting and doing a reboot bit no luck. I googled the problem and a few other people have reported the same problem but no solutions.
I've only tested email notifications and app updates.
