Is there an easier way to swype a word that has two of the same letters in it other than peck typing? For example, too or toon or root, you get the idea.

my version of swype my Droid Eris was working fine the other. All I did was shut my phone off and turn it back on and now it seems like it doesn't track my finger frequently enough to do double letters anymore... anyone else have this problem? How do I go about fixing it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI absolutely love swype. However most of the world doesn't know what swype is and hasn't used it. So they have no clue that typos are now entire words and not just letters. Leads to some hilarious yet awkward messages. Example: my friend asked me if I knew so and so. My reply was supposed to be yeah but it came out trash. Guess I need to slow down and proof read a bit more.

I was with family today at the T-Mobile store (They're all upgrading to the Samsung Vibrant today) and I was giving them all an intro to Swype on the demo. Now when I was doing this I noticed that Swype on the Vibrant had a feature I don't seem to have on my EVO. Basically while you're swyping, say you swype a word wrong right? On the Vibrant you double tap the incorrect word and it brings up a correct suggestion list. My Swype doesn't do this. Anybody know if this is an option somewhere, or what I'm missing here?

1) do I really have to hit shift then question mark or exclamation mark each time to punctuate?
2) if I write a word, then put in a numerical, there is no space
3) if I want to go back and as a letter to am already formed word, there is always a space put in automatically, impossible to change a word like dog into dogs, comes out like dog s
4) contacts not in slide it dictionary
Very possible its my inexperience, live swype, hate the venice distracting word suggestion
Lets say you do a factory reset of your phone and want to put all your apps back on, you have to install each one individually with TB? I was hoping Titanium Backup worked kind of like Nandroid in that it just restored everything on it's own, or at least install the apps on it's own without you having to sit there and click install for each one. BTW I only have the free version.
View 17 Replies View RelatedSo this is my 3rd back cover for the phone. And every time about after a month the letters on the back cover start falling off. and for me the T has fallen off each time! My friend just lost his letter too H. Just kind of pissed about the quality of this back case, very cheap. Cant wait to get a Samsung Galaxy if it ever comes for verizon because I'm not too happy of the HTC quality. This shouldn't be a problem and never have i had a phone with this issue.

Predictive text will suggest a word close to what I am typing but I don't want that. It offers exactly what I am typing as an option but then it adds that text to the dictionary. Sometimes that's great but most of the time I want to simple use the term once and not add it to to dictionary. If I type space it will change my text. Is there a shortcut or something to enter '.com' in fields using Swype? On the stock keyboard there is a key for '.com' which actually comes in handy quite a bit.
Just didn't know if Swype also made this easy?
On that note, is there a full list somewhere of Swype shortcuts?
