HTC Incredible :: New Swype Beta From Swype
Jun 8, 2010I signed up for the beta testing a while back. Got this link in an email update from Swype. You have to uninstall swype and the old installer first. Access it from your Android phone. https://beta.swype.com/android/get/

Nov 20, 2010After upgrading to Froyo 2.2, Swype started to behave strangely. I noticed that with Froyo 2.2, Swype also got a newer version. However, the performance is much worst when compared to the previous version. Here is the summary of the issues which i noticed:
1. Incorrect word recognition. 30%-40% increase in incorrect recognition
2. Much higher CPU usage (hence battery drain)
3. Very bad performance in portrait mode as compared to landscape mode

Sep 12, 2010I just received an email notice that a new version of the swype is available. The improvements seem well worth it but I have my swype themed with metamorph. Does anyone know if the metamorph themes work with the new version?

May 18, 2010I am having two problems since the OTA update. I am sure these have already been answered, but I am having trouble finding them. My first problem is that my swype is not working right anymore. It will let me type, but it will not let me swype. It says that this was configured for a previous version or something. My second problem is that my weather app force closes all the time. Is there I fix for that also?

Jun 18, 2010Is there a shortcut or something to enter '.com' in fields using Swype? On the stock keyboard there is a key for '.com' which actually comes in handy quite a bit.
Just didn't know if Swype also made this easy?

May 6, 2010I have it installed. It's checked under keyboards in settings. I go to a random txt msg and hold down the voice button until it turns into settings but under keyboard types I only have 3 choices and none of them are swype.

Jun 2, 2010I tried to install Swype. It installed no problem, and I can select it as an input method. All is good, untill I try to swype a word. I get the little "swype mark" blue streak deal, and it makes the noise, but no word appears in the text box area. I've tried it on the internet, handcent, and normal messages.
