Do you guys know what the best settings are for sending video over the EVO as a message? I've tried multiple ways, and the only way i can get it to work is on the lowest settings, and the quality blows.

Ok so I have tried ever setting in my resolution and filmed 20 sec's of random stuff and tried to send it through MMS and no luck all it says is file to big. Am i missing something here.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI lowered my resolution to VGA and i was actually able to send the video message but it took forever (and it was only a 6 second video) and then i got a text back saying that my friends phone couldnt support the file or somethin.He just got a Droid X so I dont see why it would say that and he has unlimited data.Anybody else having problems sending video messages?

I went into camcorder, changed everything to defult. i changed the resolution to the 640 and was able to send up two a 2 second video. then i went to the lowest resolution which was like 320 or whatever and was able to send up to a 5 second video. thats about it... i sat on the phone with verizon maybe...2 hours? THEY could not figure it out. they said they has to borrow another verizon enployee's phone to mess with it and she kept getting the same issue saying the file is two large. its set for 30 seconds, then 20 seconds, 15, 10, all of them will not work over 5 seconds of a video to send. they said they dont understand why there is nothing in the settings saying switch to mms or sms or something and contacting someone to update that asap because it made no sence to them. i dont understand this and its getting annoying.
So then, i tried downloading some app called youcast or whatever, and it kind of worked. it says it bypasses the size limit or whatever. i sent a video to my friend and it says he got it, but needs to download the app first to view it. im waiting to hear from him if he downloads it and is able to view it. but that still sucks because what if you dont have an android? then youcast wont work.
And not only is this issue with me, but 6 of my friends with the htc incredible are not able to send videos either after they messed around with it all.
So my questions are...
Is there any other apps out there like youcast that might work or be better too?
My settings right now on camcorder are...
white balance: auto
resolution: QVGA(320x240) and i tried switching around between that all the way to 720p(1280x720)
storagehone storage and i have switched to storage card
encoding type MPEG4
Recording Limit: 30 seconds. again i tried all other settings.
i feel like gtalk could be upgraded to include certain features like video sending, picture sending, etc. why doesn't google or anyone else do this? why not make gtalk like bbm so the one thing blackberry users have over android users is gone?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI tried to send a video using gmail, I couldn't do it, it said file to big or something like that. It was only like 20 seconds long. I really like this phone but it seems to be really limited when it comes to MMS or sending video's whether its email or MMS. My sister has verizon (and I do to) when she sends me text or MMS and adds a smiley face it modifies the msg and she gets a msg back saying my phone dont support enhanced msg. wtf? My razr really did better when it came to mms. There has to be something not adjusted right on this phone.

The problem is that I cannot find the right formula to link my S4 up to my ASUS tablet so I can view what I am recording.
I want to start recording a video on my phone and be able to see the video real time via WiFi or Bluetooth or ?? on my tablet so I can make sure I am recording what I want to record by looking at my tablet screen.
Can someone guide me to what is the best way to send picture/video to an email contact? I am currently using 1.6 tweaked v3 and the problem is if I can't send message using the message app(because can't find email contacts) but have to go through contacts (gmail)to send a picture. However when I do that, I can't attach a video. Now if I use the camera/camcorder app, while reviewing pictures the "send to" doesn't work. If i click on "default destination" and delete the emply destination I can choose between 5 options. The phone book option say "sorry!" the application has stopped unexpectedly and to force close. I can send video using the video player which is weird since doing it in the camcorder app won't work!. Seems alot of round about ways to do something which should be simple.

I have tried six different users (two being mine and my wifes 3gs') and not one successful attempt. I also cannot send text using most of the secondary characters on the number/symbol keyboard, such as the degree symbol. If there are any of the secondary characters, the recipient gets nothing on their end. It's like I never sent it.

1. He is on my Facebook contact. (His facebook pic appears in my Desire contact list)
2. He is my Gmail contact as well.
3. He is added as a 'Phone Contact' as well.
I sent him a text few days ago but don't remember if it was using facebook or my phone (network provider sms) but now when I go in to 'Messages' and send him a message, I just can't figure out if I am sending him a message via Facebook or to his mobile number.

The so called "default video player" has been uninstalled though. Have cleared cache, clear defaults, clear data for the browser but still do not get a prompt to choose a video player while playing videos from the browser.
Also installed the "Default App Manager" to check for the default video player. However, it indicates no defaults to play any videos (either from file or streaming videos).
(If I play a stored video from phone or SD card, I do get the prompt to choose a video player. But do not get a prompt if playing any video in the browser.)

I am trying to develop an android application which will be able to record a video and send it in real time to a remote computer. The computer then will play it live. I have managed to establish a connection between the android and the computer, and to record a video on the android phone. My problem is, how will I be able to send this video to the computer? Does anyone have an idea?

My husband has an Instict and sent me a 20 second video of our daughter and when I tried to open it, I got a photo that said "Video too large to view on this device". The video is not that large so I'm not sure what's up.Is there anyone else that is having this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it? We send videos of our kids all the time and I hate to think that I can't do that with a "state of the art" phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI watch a lot of anime from Nwanime or TV series from Couchtuner When I open these video webpages on Android I have to nagivate like on a desktop browser (tiny play button and maximise button and seek bar) On the iphone the video would open in the default video player.
How can I enable my Android device to open these videos with a default video player like mxplayer for example?
*note. Mxplayer is already my dafault player, so if I open an actual video file it plays in mxplayer. My problem is with web video
I have a problem with my Onda VX610W Deluxe using ICS beta1, when i use video player like MX Video Player or mVideo Player - everything runs fine but with additional subtitles that have wrong character set and sometimes wrong sync, subtitles from MX Video player or mVideo are fine but Onda`s Hardware decoder overrides screen and inputs additional subtitles it looks like this:
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was trying to use VideoView to play a Video from the SD card, but the only thing working properly is its audio, while I see the first frame of the video which doesn't play on and after a few seconds the Error message "Cannot play video - Sorry, this video cannot be played" appears. I don't know what I have done wrong.if anyone could help me out here, that would be great. this is the logcat output I get...I just saw that it says Video track fell behind, could that be the problem and if so what can I do to stop it from falling behind?
