HTC Hero :: Missed Mail Notifier
Oct 20, 2010Is there a setting or an app that will continue giving me notifications every so often if I missed an email, phone call or voice mail. My phone only gives me one when it comes in.

HTC Hero :: Mail Vs Google Mail - Application Not Playing Notification Sound?
Aug 24, 2009Wondered what people's thoughts were on the mail apps that come with the phone? I've been using the HTC app, but have noticed that after a day or so the notification sound stops playing when I receive an email. This happened for anyone else? Anyone tried both apps for any length of time and have strong opinions over which app is better? I saw a review that said the HTC app is better but the Google one doesn't seem too bad to me... Anyone using the Google app that would care to chime in?

Feb 23, 2010That's right. I have my gmail account linked to the Mail app (not the Gmail app, just didnt like UI) and it has been working fine until today. Now, the app won't retrieve mail from my account. I am looking at my mail app, and dont see the new mail that I am seeing when viewing my in box on my computer. Yes, I have pressed menu>refresh, and yes I have tried rebooting.

Aug 4, 20101: My phone gives me two notifications for missed calls. One that comes from '333' which is the number from '3 mobile' here in australia, and a second notification which it says is from a random facebook friend. Someone i dont even have in my phonebook. It has their picture and name?
I am using handcent and am wanting to cut it down to only one message per missed call, preferably i want to stop the one coming from the facebook contact.
2. I am using launcherpro + and was checking out the new calendar widget. Problem is it shows the birthdays for every single facebook contact i have I want to stop these being shown on my calendar. They dont show with my Pure calendar widget. the pure calendar widget is set to display all events in the calendar called 'My Name'. How can i remove the birthdays from appearing from the launcherpro + widget?

Sep 7, 2009I did a search and nada. When I get a missed call I get the icon on the status bar. When I hit phone button it shows me who called me and return the call. However, the icon is still there. I have found that I have to go into the 'people' contact list and look the person up and then press the 'call history' in order for the icon to go away. Anyone know of an easier way?

It's sat on my desk, enjoying full signal. All of a sudden it chimes up that it's got a new voicemail. No missed calls, no nothing, just a voicemail.
I HATE THAT! Can't decide whether to scream at orange or whether to scream at HTC.

What is important to me is my email.. I want to be able to sync my yahoo account with yahoo mail and the mail on the phone so if i send an email on my phone it will appear in the sent folder on my yahoo mail on the computer and vice versa if you follow... With Android being google will i be able to do this from the phones email client like the iphone does...

Absolutely love how customizable (through an App anyway) my BB's LED is, both in brightness and color, and it'd be a shame if HTC stuck with the Hero's for their new devices.
I guess the Incredible can be a hint of what's to come. Anyone know what that phone's LED is like?

Oct 22, 2010im very familiar with the secrets of battery saving but lately .. ever since the installing of WiMax Notifier my battery has been going much faster.. like today i took the day off from work and unplugged my phone at 909 and at about 230 i had 25 percent left and had a full charge i had to turn off sync automattically to conserve battery.. this phone is weird some days the battery isnt a issue and other days its become like horrible wtf?

I want to calculate a stability index (also for other OS) based on the run time and the crashes (unwanted restarts) that the OS is doing. If the crash frequency goes over a certain threshold, the user can be warned that his OS is unstable and unreliable at the moment and that she should not rely on it.
I want to be able to use encryption again, but cannot if I want to be able to use the alarm clock and depend on it waking me up.

Aug 29, 2009just got my new Hero yesterday and spent last night setting it up.I pull e-mail from my home e-mail server (an Excito Bubba) via IMAP, and had settings that worked flawlessly with my old HTC Tyntyn I entered these these into the Hero and although the device 'accepted' them it's not downloading any e-mail.I've searched through all the settings including how many and how frequently to download e-mail and all seems ok.It's really frustrating as it should be so simple.I've also tried a simple pop3 account that I have with lineone and no joy in setting that one up either.I called Orange tech support but they couldn't help either and I don't really want to return the phone.I have also tried a factory reset a few times and re-entered the settings via the wizard and manually but still no joy.

It should be capable of sending notifications for SMS/Calls/WhatsApp to my Mac. Preferably via bluetooth, but Wifi is also an option.
Android-Notifier sadly doesn't support WhatsApp and is very unreliable on my DHD. Sometimes it skips received SMS and bluetooth isn't working at all.
HTC Incredible :: Vibrate Notifier Stopped For Text Messages And Emails
Oct 11, 2010Did a quick search and found nothing. Out of the blue last week, the vibrate notification for both emails and texts has stopped working. It is still working in vibrate mode for calls though. I use Profiles app and have changed nothing on it.
