I rooted last weekend. After every missed call I keep getting a text message that says: If I call the second number (408-970-0000) (always the same) - it says "Our records indicate that you are calling from a SMS voice message equipped handset. If you have recently purchased a handset that does not contain this feature press 1, otherwise press 2." How can I make this stop?

WEIRD messages I'm getting after my 2.2 update. I don't know if it is coincidental or what but here is what I'm getting a FEW times a day through my text: Free msgs:will stop automatically //SVAgICdTEAQAD+lpUcs4w21LOAMYpMOs3OQfiqgwH79upzjzZV mrGEszyPnD7HuZCWYfRYH4/ICg1G9D+xdUMbqlnoKqRhr8xJ//VSANY CLUE what this is or how to stop? I can just SEE myself calling Sprint and reading off the 80-character string of letters and asking THEM this question!!

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy sprint HTC hero for some reason will all the sudden stop allowing me to get text messages and mine that I send don't seem to reach the phone I am sending it to. It will stop working out of the blue and start back up. The only reason I know that it stops is because the person I am texting shows me that they never received a message from me and I never got one from them. My phone does not tell me I cant receive or send it just stops and I never know. When it starts working again it does not ever send the messages I didn't receive.

I don't want to reply to it and i just delete it but it is getting annoying now. Have installed Lookout but says my phone is clean.

I'm wondering how many calls I miss. At least, if I'm on the X, I get a notice there's another incoming call.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI work alot in an area that has very spotty reception, or none at all. My problem is that my wife mainly, or ppl will call or text me and i will not recieve ANY notification of a missed call or text. Usually with my old phone "samsung eternity" i would recieve a missed call or text later once my phone got reception again. Any one else having this problem and also any fixes? My only idea is my task killer might be messing up with it. But i've ignored anything that has to do with text or calls.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI love the Hero - dont get me wrong - I am running the latest orange rom but I have a few issues- hopefully some one can help me solve...
1 - Dropped calls - no matter who or where I am calls drop about 25% of the time. I can be sitting at home doing nothing but talking then drop.. it happens alot.. starting to annoy me..
2 - Failed to send texts - I am having a text conversation then a random message stops and wont deliver - retry - retry again - wait a minute or 2 and retry - it works.... this is getting very anoying.. again about 25% of the time.
3 - Internet connection - (3g) - after about 4 or 5 clicks it will lock up and display page not found... wait about a minute - retry and again it works... this is about 40% of the time
4 - my friend sends me a text message/ missed call with a new number. I cant add it to an existing contact - it only allows you to add a new contact. plus copy and paste doesnt work at these points. - i end up having to write the number down and then edit the contact.
5- T9 - when I add a word to the library - it doesnt remember the word in my text - I have to type it in again and then it predicts it (minor but annoying). this phone is awsome as a gadget - but pretty crap as a phone. any one got any advice on how to help ?
I was wondering if there's an app to lump all my texts, emails, etc. together like my Blackberry. I searched the first 20 Samsung Moment pages of threads and didn't see anything on this. I also searched the forums with various keywords to try to find before I posted here.

2. I am using launcherpro + and was checking out the new calendar widget. Problem is it shows the birthdays for every single facebook contact i have I want to stop these being shown on my calendar. They dont show with my Pure calendar widget. the pure calendar widget is set to display all events in the calendar called 'My Name'. How can i remove the birthdays from appearing from the launcherpro + widget?

It's sat on my desk, enjoying full signal. All of a sudden it chimes up that it's got a new voicemail. No missed calls, no nothing, just a voicemail.
I HATE THAT! Can't decide whether to scream at orange or whether to scream at HTC.
I am having trouble getting calls to come in while im on the browser? Also I am having trouble recieving some text messages. When i find out that messages arent coming through, i shut phone off and restart and i works fine for a couple of days, then it goes back to not recieving texts.

Recently, I have been facing some issues with not hearing or feeling text messages because I miss the tone or buzz of the phone, even with the max volume on. Is there a setting where I can make the phone repeatedly give me an alert and/or vibrate when I get a text message? I have searched both the sound and display option in the phone settings and the messages settings.

View 13 Replies View RelatedSo just yesterday 12-1-09 my phone stopped receiving text messages and phone calls. People try to call me and get 4 rings then voicemail. My phone doesnt ring at all. I can place calls and browse the internet, run sprint navigation and all my apps just fine. It has been a perfect phone ever since I bought it. (11-01-09). I did a factory Hard Reset and still my phone didnt receive calls. Called Sprint and they had me turn off my phone and refreshed some info. Had to change the MSID # when i turned my phone back on but still nothing. Has anyone else had this happen to them. The only way I can receive my text messages is if I place a call then they seem to come through.
