It would be nice to select a bunch and then have them randomly selected every restart or specified interval, kind of like shuffle on a CD player.

Nov 1, 2012As we know android comes with 3 or 5 or 7 home screens. I want to set wallpaper image on a single home screen programetically and fix it for all other home screens.
I used following code :

Bitmap bmp = Bitmap.createScaledBitmap(wallpaperImage,display.g etWidth(),display.getHeight(), true);
setWallpaper(bmp);
and wallpaper image is set but it spans across all 3 home screen. How can i fix it to one screen so that if user swaps home screen a single image will display.
HTC Hero :: Full Wallpaper Picture On All 7 Screens
Oct 12, 2009I took a picture using the camera on the HERO. I want to use it as my wallpaper. When i choose the picture to set as my wallpaper, it asks me to crop the picture which is all ok.... But then once the wallpaper is set, it's spread across all 7 pages. Basically, i want the exact same, "full" picture on all 7 screens. Is there a way to set it?

Apr 15, 2010I know how to remove widgets... you long press on them to move them/delete them. My problem is this: I don't know how to remove regular icons on the Hero. On the Moment, everything was simply long press to remove. On this, long pressing the application icons on my home screen(s) just opens the associated programs. I kind of wanted to move them around, I don't wanna have to delete a scene everytime I want to move one icon around.

Feb 14, 2010Just a quick question about the home screens on the HTC Hero.
If I remember correctly, standard Android will only let you have 3 home screens (5 with the 2.1 update). However, HTC have worked their magic to enable 7 home screens with the Hero.
I just wanted to know if it's possible to limit my number of home screens to 3? I only use 3 so it seems like a waste of resources to have another 4 home screens running. It seems logical that these extra screens will still be utilising system resources, even if they aren't used.
But hey, maybe I'm wrong with the whole resources thing, but it would be good to know either way.

HTC Incredible :: Reduce Number Of Home Screens Remember Last Home Screen
Jul 7, 2010Two things I'd like to be able to do with my incredible.First is reduce the number of homescreens. Seven is really pointless for me, it makes finding the right screen take a little longer and there's just not enough good quality widgets that I need to use. I could do better with 5 and possibly just 3.Second is that when I'm not on a homescreen and I hit the home button, I'd like it to go back to the LAST homescreen I was on, not the center one. And if I'm already on a homescreen, once again pull up the homescreen select menu, instead of going to the center homescreen. It's a waste of a button press to always go to that center screen when pressing the home button.

Dec 19, 2009This afternoon, I wiped my phone and am starting from scratch. Lock 2.0 was giving me some issues and with all the installing and uninstalling of app's I've been doing in the past couple of weeks, I just decided to start with a fresh slate.
Before I back and download Lock 2.0 again, I wanted to inquire with others out there on their experience with the App. I love it, but I wasn't sure if I didn't set it up correctly or I didn't understand how the app worked because it never did replace the default lock screen after I installed and configured it. I always had to manually launch it, unlock the screen and then it would take over.
Not exactly what I had in mind for my money. Was thinking it was a full replacement for the default lock screen. Maybe I didn't read the fine print well enough.
Also, what's been the experience with Open Home on the Sprint Hero?
I'll come clean and admit I'm a Mac super-user stuck without an iPhone (I love Sprint!!). I carry my iPod touch and my Hero with me pretty much everywhere. I am LOVING my Hero though! It does exactly what I wanted it to.
I like to get in and customize to the nth degree, but not at the expense of crappy app's that mess up my stuff.
