Sprint HTC Hero :: App - Lock Screens
Apr 13, 2010Is there any app out there that any of you non rooted HTC Hero users use to get a different style of lock screen? I would like a different unlock, so I am trying to find an app that offers the iphone style unlock, or really anything other than the stock unlock animation.

Jul 1, 2010I just upgraded to the sprint 2.1 (vers 5, not 6), & im rooted, & im trying to clean up the phone to save space, so does anybody know where the "wallpaper & lock screen" images/files are stored at, so i can delete them since i use my own wallpapers. also, off topic, but when i get an email, & i check it & delete it, the email widget still shows a #, indicating that i still have unread emails.

Feb 4, 2010I decided today to look into lock screen replacements. I'd tried FlyScreen before, and felt it was way overkill. I just wanted something interesting where a third of my screen didn't just say "Sprint." I downloaded Lock 2.0 demo, which was sort of cool. But then I got a text message, which caused Handcent to do it's little pop up over the locked screen. Normally all good, but with the different lock screen, when I rotated the phone and slid out the keyboard, the screen did not re-orient itself. Is this an issue with Handcent? With Lock 2.0? Does it happen with any lock screen replacement?

Nov 18, 2010I have an HTC HD2 rooted with android based off the desire. I had a different build on my phone before so still getting used to it. I used to use the pattern lock on my phone and it would be the only screen lock. Now, with the desire build i have two. The standard frown looking sliding bar is there, which i don't like, and after i slide that bar to unlock then my pattern i set comes up and i have to use that to get into my phone. I would much rather just have one and prefer it be the pattern instead on the standard bar.

I hate having the phone wake up in my pocket after unlocking with either fingerprint or pin.
The phone is set to lock after 5 minutes of inactivity - but if bumped in the pocket, the phone wakes up without the swipe lock screen.

Feb 14, 2010Just a quick question about the home screens on the HTC Hero.
If I remember correctly, standard Android will only let you have 3 home screens (5 with the 2.1 update). However, HTC have worked their magic to enable 7 home screens with the Hero.
I just wanted to know if it's possible to limit my number of home screens to 3? I only use 3 so it seems like a waste of resources to have another 4 home screens running. It seems logical that these extra screens will still be utilising system resources, even if they aren't used.
But hey, maybe I'm wrong with the whole resources thing, but it would be good to know either way.

HTC Hero :: Full Wallpaper Picture On All 7 Screens
Oct 12, 2009I took a picture using the camera on the HERO. I want to use it as my wallpaper. When i choose the picture to set as my wallpaper, it asks me to crop the picture which is all ok.... But then once the wallpaper is set, it's spread across all 7 pages. Basically, i want the exact same, "full" picture on all 7 screens. Is there a way to set it?

Apr 16, 2010First off, let me say that I really really like these forums. I have been lurking forever and have never had to post any questions because I can ALWAYS do a search and find a post that leads me in the right direction. This one has me stumped though.
I rooted this past weekend and flashed the new fresh2.0d ROM. I upgraded the 1.5.2 image to 1.6.2 and I just installed the 2.42.00.03.10 radio.
Now when I back out of any program I get a black "fresh" screen and my home screen loads like it does when the phone boots up. My twitter app and my bookmarks do the same. This is each time I back out of a program. It only started today after I upgraded the image and radio. Would those cause this or is it another problem?
