My SIM card keeps "falling out" of the clip on the phone. The clip that keeps the SIM card held down occasionally "un clips", and the SIM card comes away from the place its supposed to be in, meaning I can't make calls or do anything that uses the SIM, so I have to take the battery out, press the clip back in and re-start the phone.

The data cord will NOT stay in. Picking up the phone dislodges it. Moving the phone a little dislodges it. Looking at the phone too hard dislodges it. Is anyone else having this problem, or is it possible I have a bum phone? If it's the latter I need to act pretty quickly; they were heading in the direction of selling out this morning at the only corporate store in town.

View 7 Replies View RelatedSorry to bother you guys, but I purchased a Motorola Droid about a month ago and since then the battery cover has fell off about 5 times. The last time it fell off while I was walking and talking in the street and I couldn't find it to put it back together. So now i have a droid without the battery cover. Is anyone else experiencing this problem as well? If yes, does anyone know a solution?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo this is my 3rd back cover for the phone. And every time about after a month the letters on the back cover start falling off. and for me the T has fallen off each time! My friend just lost his letter too H. Just kind of pissed about the quality of this back case, very cheap. Cant wait to get a Samsung Galaxy if it ever comes for verizon because I'm not too happy of the HTC quality. This shouldn't be a problem and never have i had a phone with this issue.

View 12 Replies View Relatedi have samsung galaxy s3 mini.and like today my phone fell in water... first everything was ok, but then when i locked it, it will automaticly turn on... i tried everything, like buy a new battery, factory reseted it, deleted all the apps but it didnt work.... so the problem is: i always have screen timeout on 15 seconds... and when i LOCK my phone, it actually turns it back on on the lock screen. like before it would do that if i pressed any button on phone, but now it does it automatic. and its very annoying because i cant even sleep without my phone blinking all the time(i have my phone near the bed because of the alarm clock)..

Are there any specific types that help the hero run faster? I remember seeing a certain thread saying how a certain type of memory card doesn't save the cache (or something along them lines!). I know that it has to be a micro SD memory card. Anybody got some good info about where to get them cheapest? Or which cards you use?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a rooted HTC Hero (Sprint), Fresh, Gumbo Kernel that runs wonderfully. Lateley however, my phone is not reading my sd card. Im unaware of the class, but it is an 8gb scan disk minisd. It has worked for over a year. I try to copy my information onto my desktop to reformat the sd, but it stops in the middle of the transfer. I have tried to find info on this issue, and I apologize if a thread has already been started.

Now, when I remove the the card I got with the phone, I first unmount it in the settings then physically remove it. I get notifications telling me this too. When I install the new card nothing happens and I get no notifications.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo, I was having problems with my Hero not playing videos that were on the sd card, also having problems playing videos on the youtube app. So, I did a nand restore. I also did the restore because my phone was being laggy after installing the DB-OC kernel to speed up the phone. So, I nand restored back to before I flashed the kernel. So it is now running Aloysius 2.1 LWP non-OC. But, now all of a sudden my phone wont register my SD Card, at all. I run Dark Tremor app2sd, and can use some of my apps, while others just force close, or hang. I shut my phone off, and put in a different SD Card, to see if the phone was not registering it, instead of it being the card itself. The phone didn't register the other card.
So, I put in my original sd card after turning the phone off again, and it still isn't registering, and is force closing many apps. Does anyone know what to do in order to fix this? I have no idea why it even started having this problem registering the sd card, as it was reading it just fine earlier. I would do a complete wipe of the phone, and sd card, but am not sure if that will make the phone register the sd card again. When I put my sd card into my laptop, the laptop read it just fine. Please, someone, help me fix this problem! Should I wipe the phone, and sd card, and repartition the card? Or should I boot into recovery and select "wipe data/factory reset"+"wipe dalvik-cache"+"wipe SD:ext partition"?
I just got my HTC hero and am finding even the simplest of tasks impossible. I copied all the contacts from my N82 to my memory card and want to copy them over to my HTC but cant find how to even explore the memory card.
How do I get contacts from my memory card to my phone? I only have the option of either phone or sim and they are not in either.
As soon as I got my phone I purchased a 16gb sd card. I then filled the card up with music but my phone only seems to recognise all the Artists up to and including C. D onwards is simply not there on my phone, but there on SD when I put it in my computer?

Files like MS word, Adobe, notepad etc are being detected, but when tried to open, it says application not found. I have downloaded sd card reader from market, but still the same problem. I am still using my old phone because of this.

View 12 Replies View RelatedSo I've tried and tried again using RA and other linux based programs (GParted) to get my 8GB card to partition for apps2sd. Everything always runs smoothly and shows that the card is partitioned correctly. But then upon reboot the SD card shows full fat32 memory (6.9 GB). No matter what I do, after reboot, the partitions never happen. When I used GParted, and then loaded the SD card on the phone it always says that the SD card is damaged and I need to reformat. I've done that and rerun everything to no avail. Someone please tell me this issue is that the SD card is corrupted and I should give up. Because I've followed everything to a T as far as partitioning. With that I'll say that I had no problems rooting my phone, flashing ROM's/RA's, etc, and have been able to do whatever I want as far as new things to load. I've finally decided after all this time to do apps2sd, and I literally screwed around for 5+ hrs today, trying to partition the SD card properly. Any thoughts?

View 8 Replies View RelatedSo I was told by a Sprint rep that if the phone memory gets below about 80 MB then the phone will start to lag. Well I can't seem to delete enough stuff to get back above 80 MB available memory, I deleted pics, texts messages and various apps that I would have liked to keep. I started playing with my wife's phone which has more apps then mine, I checked her available phone memory and she has 102 MB!!! I can't figure out what I could have on my phone memory that would be taking up over 20 MB of space. Where can I look to try and figure this out? My wife's phone is very zippy and quick, while my phone waits forever when switching apps.
Also, How do I transfer pics I have taken on my phone to the SD card instead of using phone memory?
