May 31, 2010My son's SIM card is not registering on his Hero. It had been working fine until last night. It works fine in my wife's phone. Both are on Orange in UK.

HTC EVO 4G :: Phone Cannot Recognize SD Card Anymore - Not Available
Aug 7, 2010This morning I started seeing errors about the SD card not being available. I checked under setting and sure enough it wasn't available. It worked perfectly yesterday. The first thing I thought of was that the card went bad since I bought a 16GB one off eBay. So I shut down and replaced the SD card with the 8GB one it came with. No change. The phone just doesn't recognize an SD card anymore.

Nov 5, 2013I have a Galazy S4 and also have a 32GB Micro SD card for music and pictures. I was able to store my game apps and other apps onto the SD card so I didnt use up all my space. Since the update, I can't store any games onto the app. The games do have the toggle button that says Move to SD Card, when I do it comes up with a Unable to move app.

Apr 29, 2014I've had my S3 for just over a year, never dropped it or anything like that. About a week ago when I woke up and looked at my notifications I had a triangle up at the top (like a warning sign), and it said something to the extent that my SD card had been removed without unmounting it. Checked the card, it was still in there properly, so I powered down the phone several times and it still doesn't recognize my card. Some of my apps that were stored on there are no longer accessible on my phone, don't know about pics etc though.

Dec 26, 2009I think I noticed a day or so after it actually started to do it...or not do it, rather.I've checked so many settings.It's set to vibrate in the actual settings. I set it to vibrate in handcent.I even turned on the stock messaging app to see if that would vibrate and nothing. I tried holding down end call to see if it would vibrate and nothing. The only time I've felt it vibrate is when powering on the phone.Anyone have any ideas? If not, is there an easy way to restore to factory defaults?

Jul 22, 2010Been sending emails from my Tiscali account via smtp.orange.net for months now, but suddenly it stopped working the other day. Now just says 'Unable to send mail' whenever I try.
I didn't touch the phone settings in between the last successful send and the first failed attempt, anyone got any ideas? Have tried the usual, like deleting/recreating the account, plus using different SMTP servers (orangehome.co.uk, 192. etc.) but all to no avail.
HTC Hero :: Unable To Connect To Open WiFi Anymore
Oct 10, 2010I've had my HTC Hero for one week. First day I got it, I walked into a Radio Shack and connected to the open WiFi instantly no problem. I can connect to any secured network (w/ pwd) no problem. However, ever since I put the phone in airplane mode while on a flight, I haven't been able to connect to any open Wifi network. The Hero detects the network and says I'm connected, but I can't get on the internet at all. The phone says it's not in airplane mode but maybe it still is? help please. I'm running android 2.1.

HTC Hero :: All Of Sudden Black Version Doesn't Seem That Bad Anymore
Jan 27, 2010My HTC Hero which I have had for about 4 and a half months seems to be getting dirty from the back. It looks like seem green ink or something that seems to be painted on. It is a very dirty green, I tried everything to get rid of it. Heck, I have even used bleach but nothing works. Does anyone have any idea how to remove it? Worst case scenario I'll just buy a cover to hide its imperfections. All of sudden the black version doesn't seem that bad anymore :$

Aug 24, 2013My parents just gave me a used phone with android in it. About 2 months ago my mum took loads of picutes etc... Today I decided to 'clean up' the phone and deleted all the photos through my PC. After all that, my phone couldn't save the pictures, when i take the photo it says "Your phone couldn't save the picture" or something like that (got my phone in polish language) and i restart the phone so that everything on my phone will delete and still nothing, i just don't know what to do. HTC Hero :: SIM Card Keeps Falling Out On Phone?
Sep 30, 2010My SIM card keeps "falling out" of the clip on the phone. The clip that keeps the SIM card held down occasionally "un clips", and the SIM card comes away from the place its supposed to be in, meaning I can't make calls or do anything that uses the SIM, so I have to take the battery out, press the clip back in and re-start the phone.

Im unaware of the class, but it is an 8gb scan disk minisd. It has worked for over a year. I try to copy my information onto my desktop to reformat the sd, but it stops in the middle of the transfer. Jul 31, 2010So, I was having problems with my Hero not playing videos that were on the sd card, also having problems playing videos on the youtube app. So, I did a nand restore. I also did the restore because my phone was being laggy after installing the DB-OC kernel to speed up the phone. So, I nand restored back to before I flashed the kernel. So it is now running Aloysius 2.1 LWP non-OC. But, now all of a sudden my phone wont register my SD Card, at all. I run Dark Tremor app2sd, and can use some of my apps, while others just force close, or hang. I shut my phone off, and put in a different SD Card, to see if the phone was not registering it, instead of it being the card itself. The phone didn't register the other card.
So, I put in my original sd card after turning the phone off again, and it still isn't registering, and is force closing many apps. Does anyone know what to do in order to fix this? I have no idea why it even started having this problem registering the sd card, as it was reading it just fine earlier. I would do a complete wipe of the phone, and sd card, but am not sure if that will make the phone register the sd card again. When I put my sd card into my laptop, the laptop read it just fine. Please, someone, help me fix this problem! Should I wipe the phone, and sd card, and repartition the card? Or should I boot into recovery and select "wipe data/factory reset"+"wipe dalvik-cache"+"wipe SD:ext partition"?
HTC Hero :: Get Contacts From Memory Card To Phone?
Nov 3, 2009I just got my HTC hero and am finding even the simplest of tasks impossible. I copied all the contacts from my N82 to my memory card and want to copy them over to my HTC but cant find how to even explore the memory card.
How do I get contacts from my memory card to my phone? I only have the option of either phone or sim and they are not in either.
