Could some one give me a definitive set of steps for reflashing the ROM back to original HTC? I'm getting quite confused. Is there an official HTC ROM that can be downloaded or do they all come from enthusuats' bedrooms? Also, does this equate to rooting and will it invalidate my warranty?

I am running UD .8. When I first flashed the ROM my phone was snappy but over the weeks has started to lag. Is there a way to gain the speed back without reflashing?
View 8 Replies View RelatedWell I had some issues trying to goto the i9000 rom so I had to reflash back to stock. I had one paid app SystemPanel App / Task Manager and now its asking me to buy it again. I wasn't rooted so couldn't do a backup with titanium but will find a back up program for future backups of paid apps. So can anyone tell me how to get it back or did I just pee a way 3 bucks

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was trying to update my Moment to 2.1, but something went wrong in the update process. I've tried simply restarting the process from the beginning, but that didn't work, and the progress bar still goes nowhere. If I turn the phone on i get a white screen that says "can not find jpg or png" at the top. If I do volume down+call+end, I get the same thing, but under the "can not find" error it says "recovery mode." But that's it. There are no options to select, and the buttons and touchscreen are unresponsive. However, I can still get to download mode with vol down + camera + end. What is the process for re flashing the phone using download mode, and where can I get the software?
View 2 Replies View RelatedOver the last 6 months, I've bought several applications through the market without any problems. Yesterday, I bought Camera Zoom FX which downloaded just fine. But after downloading, it's been stuck at "Installing." in the Download-section of my Market. It sais "Purchased" in the upper right corner (as usual) and I've received the receipt through e-mail. I tried to install another app afterwards, and that worked just fine. Its about 24 hours since I purchased the app now, but it's still trying to install. I've rebooted the phone at least 5 times, cleared the Market-cache before and after rebooting. I've even tried to remove my SD-card just in case.If I click and hold the application in the Market-app, the only choice I get is "Details", not "Uninstall" and the other options I usually get. When I go to the apps details, the button at the bottom is greyed out and says "Installing..". This means I can't cancel the installation or choose uninstall.
My Hero has the official 2.1 version (fully updated) without root or other modifications.I've looked through the forum several times, including what seems to be relevant posts, but I can't seem to find any real solution for this problem. Anyone know how I can fix this? I think it's really strange that Android doesn't have any form of time-out or something for this..
I'm really new to the Android world and just got the Hero a couple of days ago and it is overwhelming on what this phone can do but I'm not sure if its the phone for me.I love the Market app and have downloaded a lot of apps just to try them out and now I have so many that I would like to remove some of them but I can't figure out how to do this. I have searched the User's Guide but haven't found anything in it unless I missed it but need some help here, so how do you remove apps and games from this phone?

Hi Guys, Ive had Google Listen on my HTC Hero for a while now, but never really used it until I was hooked up to wireless.
Today I downloaded the BBC Podcast app that links with Google Listen and decided to have a little play around with it whilst in work. I have been listening to BBC's 606 Football Phone in for about half an hour now and my 3G Data Usage Watchdog has not budged..........Now before I get excited and start listening to Podcasts all day....does anybody know a reason as to why my data is not being used?
I added the podcast to a "Queue" does this have anything to do with it? I havent downloaded the podcast!
My Hero is going haywire. I was trying to download some apps from the market today and they don't want to start. So I rebooted my phone to see if it made any difference. Now when it starts up I get error messages that the com.android.phone and a few others are not working and have to force a close. I have no service either. All the installed apps and components are working but not phone itself. I am with Cellular South in Mississippi and my wife has a Hero also which is working normally so I know it's not a network issue.

It was 9mb of precious space and when I connect my phone to my PC I cant find it anywhere and I for sure can't find it anywhere on my phone. View 1 Replies View RelatedToday i have been having some fun today downloading and yes buying (!) apps from the mkt. well, i started getting a little instability - i couldn't get an IP from my wireless router --- i had d/l "wifi keep alive" and "wifi reconnect" and "wifi reassociation". so i went to the mkt intending to uninstall one by one until i restored my ability to DHCP to the router. selecting the "downloads" section of the mkt revealed only about two pages worth of apps. believe me - i have a LOT more apps than that! mostly all the apps that appear are purchased apps (one exception - gmail is there too) - but even then, not "all" of my purchased apps are there! in doing my due dilligence checking to see if anyone else had this problem and solved it, i found this thread and this thread - neither of which have anything to say to help me. ANY idea how to get my apps to show up in the mkt? the apps themselves ARE STILL ON MY hero, they just don't appear in the mkt)
