I've found the place in the settings "Set up sim card lock", and I assumed you just put a number in, but I did that and it said the number was wrong. I now have 2 attempts left, or so it says. How do you set up a lock so you have to input a number when you start the phone.

Can someone please tell me how to lock my micro sd card.
im afraid of loosing my phone and someone placing my sd card on their computer or phone and going through my pictures and contact list.
An AT&T customer support person told me today that my GPS (even with their AT&T Navigator) will not work with my current SIM card. I have an orange 64K SIM card (63513G) and connect to 3G and HSPDA.
Do I really need a new one or they just trying to force me to get a new data plan.
I have an ancient plan called Media Max (pre smart phone plan) with unlimited data and do not want to change.
I hate the lock screen on the Hero, I know their is a way to turn it off, but i don't like getting a message and then the phone doing something in my pocket. Is their a way to extract the .apk of the lock screen from the droid, and just install it on the hero, I understand that the resolution on the hero is different, but hate the current lock screen, i have to slide it down 2-3 times for it to recognize. I downloaded lock 2.0 already on the market, its not bad. but it takes 3-4 seconds on my phone to actually give me the slide to unlock screen.

Of course with the issues the phone has with SD cards, this causes it to fail about 90% of the time.

Its been perfectly fine since I installed it over a month ago, but recently my memory card corrupted and now I cannot download any apps off the market.I had an ext2 partition, so I reformatted my memory stick the exact same way it was before it corrupted. I'v done this 100 times now with the correct username and password but it does not open my Hero. It is like it dosen't tjeck it online....
So now I have a locked Hero that can't do anything, How can I unlock it?
I think the answer to this is "no" I've spent this mornign playing with a Hero and really like it. I was wondering if there was any way, fro a privacy point of view, of NOT displaying the SMS preview at the bottom of the screen when the screen is locked - happy to show caller details - just don't want the text itself.

I forgot to ask as well.I've searched online and the "chin" hero seems to have a little dent where you can prop it open.
