Feb 11, 2010Does anyone know where can I find the HTC Flickr Downloader? I can't see it on the market or on the HTC widgets to download on the phone?

Android :: Downloader Activity - After Downloader Has Completed Window Disappears And Nothing Happens
Jan 1, 2010I have integrated the downloader activity (Google provided) into my application.. On the whole a very straight forward process. A problem I have though, is, after the downloader has completed the window disappears and nothing happens. If I hold down the HOME key I see my app and if I click on it my appss window comes up and runs correctly. Also when I run it subsequently it works correctly. Has anyone else experienced this? It certainly looks like the downloader should trigger my app when it is done; I am not sure if the window is just not getting focus or someething. It is a fullscreen GL app.

Nov 26, 2009I have been uploading my photos to Flickr using the built in Flickr integration. However, I notice that the geocoding does not get set in my Flickr account. When I browse the photos on my phone's card, the goecoding is in tact. Is this a limitation of Flickr or my Hero?

Unlike the viewing of the same photos through the Albums widget on the phone, which seems to fail to download them for viewing through the mobile data connection, even at H connection speed.....the download just seems to stall?

May 23, 2010I got my desire last week. When I did the initial wizard setup, I put in my Facebook id and my Flickr one as well. I remember on that first day, I was quite pleased with the Flickr app and my photos. Now, it seems to be completely gone. If I look in All Programs, it's not there. If I go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications, I can see Flickr (HTC Corporation) there in the list. If I choose it, I get the usual screen with the Clear Cache and About buttons.

Nov 17, 2012How to stop Flickr from running in the phone and how to bring it back after disabling the app? I installed Flickr on my Droid Rezound. I didnt know it was already on the phone. I installed the Google Play version on top of the already installed version on my phone. I tested it out and decided not to keep it. I uninstalled the Google version and found the app was still trying to upload photos. Did some searching in the phone and disabled the phone version. After that it still tries to upload the photos. I signed out of Yahoo and Flickr and it still tries to upload. It's not that I care if the pics upload, but when I've taken lots of pics the upload gobbles battery life.

Apr 7, 2010On 1.5 I used to get notifications all the time when someone uploaded new photos to flicker or changed their facebook account. Now I'm using the 2.1 leak v2 and I don't get any updates at all. What gives? I liked that feature. Any way to turn it back on?
And I do have the option set to update every 2 hours in the settings.
HTC Incredible :: Need To Remove Facebook And Flickr From Gallery
Sep 29, 2010Ok everyone. I searched but didn't see anything quite similar so wanted to post. Do any of you know how to remove the Facebook and Flickr tabs at the bottom of the Gallery page? I've attached a screenshot.
They don't go away apparently when I remove the apk files but figured they had to be configured somewhere though it's probably compiled into the gallery app.
BTW: I know I can just uncheck the box in settings to show the tabs but I'd like to remove them completely.
If there is would you please let me know?

I recently setup a link to my Flickr account and keep getting notifications everytime one of my contacts posts something to their account (can get overwhelming quickly). I tried looking for a way in-phone and on Flickr to disable the notifications but haven't found a solution so far. Anyone have an idea on how to disable/modify Flickr notifications?

under "Settings:Apps:All apps" there was a "Flickr for HTC Sense". I can't uninstall that, or open it, only Force Stop.I can only see the main "HTC Sense" under Settings-Apps too, so can't open it directly to tell it to stop looking for Flickr.

So I went to Albums and signed into my facebook page. I can see the photos and email them, but I cannot save them to my phone. Is the only way of doing this is going to the browser and long-clicking it to save? Is there an app which will copy them in bulk to my phone?

Android :: Move Image Downloader Into A Seperate Thread On Android
Apr 5, 2010I have the following code running on my Android device. It works great and displays my list items wonderfully. It's also clever in the fact it only downloads the data when it's needed by the ArrayAdapter. However, whilst the download of the thumbnail is occurring, the entire list stalls and you cannot scroll until it's finished downloading. Is there any way of threading this so it'll still scroll happily, maybe show a place holder for the downloading image, finish the download, and then show?
I think I just need to put my downloadImage class into it's own thread so its executed separately from the UI. But how to add this into my code is the mystery!
