Anyone know of any app that can watch my youtube subscriptions and download the newest videos to my device, when connected via wifi only? Basically a youtube video version of googles Listen?

I have integrated the downloader activity (Google provided) into my application.. On the whole a very straight forward process. A problem I have though, is, after the downloader has completed the window disappears and nothing happens. If I hold down the HOME key I see my app and if I click on it my appss window comes up and runs correctly. Also when I run it subsequently it works correctly. Has anyone else experienced this? It certainly looks like the downloader should trigger my app when it is done; I am not sure if the window is just not getting focus or someething. It is a fullscreen GL app.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the following code running on my Android device. It works great and displays my list items wonderfully. It's also clever in the fact it only downloads the data when it's needed by the ArrayAdapter. However, whilst the download of the thumbnail is occurring, the entire list stalls and you cannot scroll until it's finished downloading. Is there any way of threading this so it'll still scroll happily, maybe show a place holder for the downloading image, finish the download, and then show?
I think I just need to put my downloadImage class into it's own thread so its executed separately from the UI. But how to add this into my code is the mystery!

When i press the browser he opens a link from m.facebook to m.youtube and i dont want that...it will be better if facebook app let me choose between orig.browser,opera,skyfire and most important for me "youtube" app....
I have try another app named 3d flower facebook (is just like old facebook app but there are so much things missing) that do excactly that....

What I need is a news app, that can create a large widget to give news feeds. But not just one feed. One that pulls from multiple sources of my choice, something likely looking like twitter feeds, but I hate cluttering my social network with 6 different news sources, all spewing 6 headlines an hour.Now I thought RSS Widgetboard would be what I wanted. You can select from a multitude of feeds. But, only one can show up on the widget. The data contains the name of the package.The package that is being installed does not receive this Intent.according to this my app does not get self removing broadcast.Is there any way to get the feedback from user about my app while uninstalling?

1) are missing a widget,
2) are ugly,

I have asked this before, but I never got a response.
I would like to be able to feed an InputStream to the media player, but it does not look like there is any way to do that. The InputStream would feed encoded (mp3 or aac) data to whoever is calling read() on it. The issue is that I may have to stitch data together or I may not have all the data at the time I need to start playing back, but I can get it as the user continues playing.
I see MediaPlayer.setDataSource() for files, streams and URIs, but nothing that seems like an InputStream. I see the JetPlayer which is incredibly thin on documentation. I see AudioTrack, but that requires PCM as input.
So, I'm back to what to use or how I can work around this limitation.

I just read an article about the improved youtube mobile site at m.youtube.com. I have used the youtube app since the ota that was sent out to fix it and downloaded an apk that allowed it to always default to HQ rather than having to change it each time. But I just tried out the mobile site and it is blazingly fast compared to the app. The only thing that would make me not use this over the app is that I didn't see a way to watch the videos in HQ. Am I missing something? Does anyone else have a preference for the mobile site over the app or vice versa?

I have a user's twitter handle. Right now I'm opening it through a web page like:

If the user has the Twitter android app installed, is there a different intent I can use which gives the user the option to view that user's twitter feed in the Twitter app, instead of forcing them directly to a browser? I'm not sure if the author's of the Twitter app have exposed any such intent.

But here's where my confusion sets in. When I watch a YouTube video with the stock YouTube app, videos buffer faster and/or play MUCH better when using 3G. I'm wondering if the 3G connection is utilizing some kind of compression that allows this?

The standard HTC one only shows results from one feed in the widget and you have to click it to get to more stories.
