View 2 RepliesOn 1.5 I used to get notifications all the time when someone uploaded new photos to flicker or changed their facebook account. Now I'm using the 2.1 leak v2 and I don't get any updates at all. What gives? I liked that feature. Any way to turn it back on?
And I do have the option set to update every 2 hours in the settings.
I have loads of photos on Flickr and Facebook and I want to set some of the photos to my contact list. When I open the facebook app, there is no way to see the photos. So I went to Albums and signed into my facebook page. I can see the photos and email them, but I cannot save them to my phone. Is the only way of doing this is going to the browser and long-clicking it to save? Is there an app which will copy them in bulk to my phone?
View 1 Replies View RelatedOk everyone. I searched but didn't see anything quite similar so wanted to post. Do any of you know how to remove the Facebook and Flickr tabs at the bottom of the Gallery page? I've attached a screenshot.
They don't go away apparently when I remove the apk files but figured they had to be configured somewhere though it's probably compiled into the gallery app.
BTW: I know I can just uncheck the box in settings to show the tabs but I'd like to remove them completely.
If there is would you please let me know?
Even though I change my FB to update every 2 hrs and Flickr to once day, when I go back to check, FB always resets back to 'once a day' and Flickr resorts back to every hour.
Anyone else had this?
I am new to android, I have learned how to display drawable pic in gallery,
and display a url pic use ImageView. Now I dont know how to display online pictures in gallery. Should I use listview or not? In addtion, I want to know how to get pictures urls from flickrs with given userid
Tons of pics here, submitted by Droid users... wow.. some are quite incredible! (If you are not familiar with Flickr, just click one of the pics, and it will take you to a gallery of pics submitted by that particular user...)

What's the deal with the Flickr integration?I thought I would transition over from Photobucket because it looked like it might make it easier to access and share photos. So I find out that I need a YahooID to sign up for Flickr. Why not something with Google (Picasa)?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI picked up an Eris this weekend and I'm loving it! This is my first "smartphone" so I'm pretty pumped! I recently setup a link to my Flickr account and keep getting notifications everytime one of my contacts posts something to their account (can get overwhelming quickly). I tried looking for a way in-phone and on Flickr to disable the notifications but haven't found a solution so far. Anyone have an idea on how to disable/modify Flickr notifications?

I cant "uninstall" because it technically isnt installed yet. I cant try to redownload because the market is showing that it is installing..

'flickr.auth.getToken'
but unfortunately i am getting invalid frob , i don't why whats the problem.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm building simple app, simply to learn the android ropes, that will display a list of the most recent photos uploaded to flickr. The app is constructed but it's crapping out when it tries to deserialize the json that I get back from flickr. Here is my error:
CODE:....................
From, the error I'm assuming it has something GSON doesn't like about the json that is being returned but I don't know enough about how java converts objects and other types of variables during the whole operation.
I'm not sure if you will need this but here is some of the code from the project:

Does anyone know where can I find the HTC Flickr Downloader? I can't see it on the market or on the HTC widgets to download on the phone?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen i first switched the phone on i put my flickr account details in. However I can't find any app for Flickr. Surely I entered all of the details at the start for a reason!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my desire last week. When I did the initial wizard setup, I put in my Facebook id and my Flickr one as well. I remember on that first day, I was quite pleased with the Flickr app and my photos. Now, it seems to be completely gone. If I look in All Programs, it's not there. If I go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications, I can see Flickr (HTC Corporation) there in the list. If I choose it, I get the usual screen with the Clear Cache and About buttons.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow to stop Flickr from running in the phone and how to bring it back after disabling the app? I installed Flickr on my Droid Rezound. I didnt know it was already on the phone. I installed the Google Play version on top of the already installed version on my phone. I tested it out and decided not to keep it. I uninstalled the Google version and found the app was still trying to upload photos. Did some searching in the phone and disabled the phone version. After that it still tries to upload the photos. I signed out of Yahoo and Flickr and it still tries to upload. It's not that I care if the pics upload, but when I've taken lots of pics the upload gobbles battery life.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been uploading my photos to Flickr using the built in Flickr integration. However, I notice that the geocoding does not get set in my Flickr account. When I browse the photos on my phone's card, the goecoding is in tact. Is this a limitation of Flickr or my Hero?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI deleted my Flickr account (moved to ipernity) and uninstalled the flickr app. Now I'm getting the error "Authorise HTC Sense - flickr is not responding, try signing in". But of course I can't sign in, because I no longer have a flickr account. How do I remove Flickr from HTC Sense on my phone? Where are the options for HTC Sense itself located?
under "Settings:Apps:All apps" there was a "Flickr for HTC Sense". I can't uninstall that, or open it, only Force Stop.I can only see the main "HTC Sense" under Settings-Apps too, so can't open it directly to tell it to stop looking for Flickr.
I'm sure this isn't news to any of you veterans, but this is my first android device so please bare with me. I'm using the facebook app and have noticed that neither the app itself or the widget show the actual facebook live feed or provide a way to access it....
Of course my next thought was "well what if I just use the facebook page in a browser window". Turns out that's not as simple as I thought! Apparently facebook not only has a mobile page, it also has a "touch" page that it likes to route you to. Neither the mobile or the touch facebook pages have a way to access the live feed either....
Does anyone know how to get Flickr added to the Auto Upload "Add A New Place?"Currently, I have MySpace, YouTube, Photobucket, and Facebook, but I have a Flickr Pro account and would like to be able to just upload to my account there.
Any ideas? It's rather frustrating to have the others, but not Flickr - and not have the ability to add others (that I can see/find).
I am trying to log in to Flickr but it does nothing... I have no connection issues, everything works fine. How can I even input or change login details for Flickr? Has anyone got a similar problem, or a solution please?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am probably reposting, but i can't find the exact answer im looking for (if you know the thread, please link it).
Facebook for HTC Sense is a POS. We all know that. But what is killing me is that I can set up a "sync" my HTC Eris with Fb for HTC Sense (that doesnt actually sync) but not for the standard Facebook app.
The HTC Sense Facebook App does a terrible job of syncing contacts w/ the phone, so I am trying to do it thru the Facebook for Android App.
I) Should I just keep on trying with the HTC App even tho its not fully working or syncing?
When I go to Menu> Settings> Accounts&sync>Add account (after removing sycing w/ FB for HTC Sense) I can add an account for: Facebook -or- Facebook for HTC Sense.
But, when I try to click on Facebook, nothing happens. Fb for HTC still works and I can add the account to that, but I wont get the contacts again. (I think).
II) What is going on w/ my Facebook for Android app? (I have updated it, too).
I removed my facebook account because I didn't wane all of my friends in my contacts, but a few of them are still in my contacts and I can't delete them!
View 3 Replies View RelatedLike everyone who's updated to 2.1, I'm experiencin the same bugs with Facebook (i.e. all my FB contacts show up in my dialer and my txt msgs). Anyways, I was toolin around in Accounts & Sync under Settings. Right now, the accounts I have set up are Google, Weather, and Facebook for HTC Sense. When I click Add an Account, there's something called just "Facebook," in addition to the "Facebook for HTC Sense."I've always known there were two Facebook apps (or whatever you wanna call them) on my phone, cause when I want to share a pic I take, I can do it using either "Facebook" or "Facebook for HTC Sense." I always share the picture using "Facebook" because it allows me to post a comment as well.Anyways, getting back to Accounts & Sync, I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on how these two apps differ. Maybe if I choose to sync the "Facebook" account as opposed to "Facebook for HTC Sense," that could solve some of these issues we're all having? I have no idea, but I'm hesitant to do anything for fear of clogging up my phone's contact list with Facebook friends.
View 16 Replies View RelatedHas anyone figured out the difference between syncing Facebook for HTC Sense in the account syncing section vs. plain Facebook? I am trying to figure out if the one I'm using (Facebok for HTC Sense) is using up too much memory.
My phone memory is around 33% whereas my husband's memory is 64%! He has very few contacts and I'm wondering if the syncing with Facebook is taking up all my phone memory (vs SD Card memory which is fine).
I have about 40 photos on my flickr account, many of which were uploaded from my Hero directly. That all works fine.
Unlike the viewing of the same photos through the Albums widget on the phone, which seems to fail to download them for viewing through the mobile data connection, even at H connection speed.....the download just seems to stall?
