Media : What Media Player To Use To Find Some Movies
Jul 18, 2010I have owned a couple Android phones but I never messed with movies on them.
Picked up a droid X the other day.
I want to get some movies on this bad boy. Can anyone tell me where to start? What media player to use? What format do the movies have to be in? Where to find some movies?

Android :: Downloader Activity - After Downloader Has Completed Window Disappears And Nothing Happens
Jan 1, 2010I have integrated the downloader activity (Google provided) into my application.. On the whole a very straight forward process. A problem I have though, is, after the downloader has completed the window disappears and nothing happens. If I hold down the HOME key I see my app and if I click on it my appss window comes up and runs correctly. Also when I run it subsequently it works correctly. Has anyone else experienced this? It certainly looks like the downloader should trigger my app when it is done; I am not sure if the window is just not getting focus or someething. It is a fullscreen GL app.

Jun 17, 2010I have about 10 digital download movies that came with my blu-rays but at the time I had my iPhone so I never thought about it. Well, I'm a MAC guy and I downloaded them in iTunes which was perfect having an iPhone. But now with getting my EVO is there a way to get those Downloads to work on the EVO? Or is it DRM'd only for Apple devices? And in the future is there a way to download them without iTunes on a MAC?

Nov 9, 2012Any power-point viewers capable of playing videos? I'm pretty close to trading in my Android for an Apple given that there is no viewer that I have been able to find that supports videos.
I could convert my ppt to a movie, but would prefer not to go this route. Also, I am unable to wait until 2013 when Microsoft makes available its Office for android as well as ipad/iphone.

Sep 26, 2013I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (P3110). I had downloaded a few movies on it from Google Play store. Now I can't see any of them when I connect the Tab to my Mac using Android File Transfer. I can see the movie files are there in the Tab under Applications/Google Play Movies/SD Card. But I can't when I tether the Tab to my Mac.

Jan 8, 2014Tonight I was taking videos and a couple of pictures with my droid mini. I was also switching to the gallery to view what I was taking and everything was there. In the middle of the last video, the screen freezes and I had to power down because my phone was just frozen. When I powered back up, I saw just 5 gray squares where those last 5 pieces of media should have been. They were saved and viewable before this happened!! How can I open or get them back! I've read a few threads, but all the back up methods do not work. My phone is not rooted. I uploaded all my files into my computer, and they are simply not there. It's not a huge giant issue, because everything else remained as it was, but these were videos of me playing with my kid. They didn't even get backed up onto google plus yet. I did shoot a test video right after my phone came back on...and the gray squares are still there.

Iv beef using the cable and drag and dropping but its a pain. I would rather do over the air but I don't mind using the cable if I have to, I don't even care if its automatic. Apr 8, 2010I want to be able to use/view the video's I record with my phone on my computer. (open from an email or use in window's movie maker)I have a new computer with Windows seven at work and a Vista laptop at home. I can send the video to myself and try to open in from my email or tether to the computer and transfer the file manually. Either way I can't open with windows media player. Video's taken with default "Camcorder" app on a myTough 3G running Android 1.6.I know it has something to do with the codec's the phone uses but wonder why they wouldn't use codec's that are compatible with the most commonly used pc's?Is there any way around this? Some kind of converter for the computer or for the phone?Is there another camcorder app that can record video with a different codec or is it phone hardware specific?So far have been able to use these forum's to sort out most of my Android problems but I'm stumped on this one. It doesn't seem like it should be this hard to do. Should be more user friendly.

I just want to know how I can take movies I own on DVD and put them on my Evo so I can watch them whenever I want to, and doing it for free would be the ultimate answer!
