OK so I've had this LG L70..So the stock launcher is OK but no wear near better them sum or these aftermarket launchers... Next launcher in general. Well after downloading next Launcher I tried to set up my home screens with the same widgets I had on the stock launcher with no luck. It tells me there is a problem with the widgets tap to reload. When I tap they disappear.

I love CM7. I run it on my Droid Incredible and I wouldn't want to run any other ROM, but since I have the paid versions of both ADW and Launcher Pro I don't have any need for the free version of ADW that comes packed with CM7. I found a mod that replaces ADW with the default Gingerbread launcher, and I've found that I prefer the stock launcher over any of the replacements I've tried. It's fast, minimal, and it just works. My only problem is that launcher2 only has five home screens, and I want seven. A Google search brought me to a version of the stock launcher with seven home screens, and I was able to install it on the latest CM7 nightly, but whenever I pressed the phone icon I got an error message telling me that "this application is not installed on your phone". I tried the launcher on both OMGB and OMFGB with the same results. Is there a version of the stock Gingerbread launcher out there that I can use on CM7 that has seven home screens and a working phone shortcut?

Is there way to save my screens and then start from scratch? Or do I need to save it then remove all my widgets and start again that way? I want to be able to go back to it if I don't like what I come up with.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just installed Launcher Pro Beta, and am trying to "flavor" up my EVO. I really used the stock sense widgets that toggled 4g, wifi, BT, etc, but am unable to find them with the new home launcher. Am i unable to use the previously installed default widgets with this launcher/home? How about the default weather/clock combo, i can't seem to find a way to add it either. I liked the simple look of the Launcher Pro icons along the bottom, that's all i really wanted changed.

I'd like to change the wallpaper on this screen without it also changing the wallpaper on the stock launcher. Currently when I try to set the wallpaper on nova, it also changes the wallpaper on the stock launcher (I have a feeling the solution might involve the use of Multipicture Live wallpaper). I have a small issue with widgets..
I'm currently on APEX launcher and cm9. When i put any widgets on the home screen that auto update, they do work ok for a short while, but then stop. for instance, a clock widget will work for a 10 minutes maybe, but then stick.
I don't use any a task killer.
How do i remove some of the home screens? there are like 7 right now, and i would like to have just 3. how to do this? I use CM9 with LG UI 3.0.

Apex launcher has action shortcuts for this, but they are only 1x1. I cannot use widgets to get these actions... I have to use shortcuts. I have done what I want with 1x1 shortcuts, but they are just too small for my taste. I really want 2x1 shortcuts. I have not been able to figure out how to make them with either Simple Text or Desktop Visualizer.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Go Launcher on Galaxy Note and it appears to redraw/reload all widgets and icons on the home screen if I rotate the screen i.e while going from Landscape to Potrait Mode and vice versa , all widgets/icons reload.
While rotating applications , this does not happen.
Although I don't have any issues while using apps or playing games, sometimes when I scroll through my home screens it kinda jerks back and stays on the same screen as if I had not swiped it properly or something. I'm not sure if it's because I am so used to my phone which does not take as much effort or if this is an actual problem.

However clicking through some of the home screen instructions, there is a section called "ROM", does this mean the device has to rooted first?

Two things I'd like to be able to do with my incredible.First is reduce the number of homescreens. Seven is really pointless for me, it makes finding the right screen take a little longer and there's just not enough good quality widgets that I need to use. I could do better with 5 and possibly just 3.Second is that when I'm not on a homescreen and I hit the home button, I'd like it to go back to the LAST homescreen I was on, not the center one. And if I'm already on a homescreen, once again pull up the homescreen select menu, instead of going to the center homescreen. It's a waste of a button press to always go to that center screen when pressing the home button.
View 7 Replies View RelatedUp until several days ago/yesterday you could scroll through the home screens in a circular manner( ie swiping the finger in one direction while the last screen would be replaced by the first one). Now all the sudden I see that my screens are like between two walls, when you reach the right or the left end you can't continiue further.
Is this some change in the settings someone made accidentally?

I'm a bit into customizing my home screens to make it look like the ones on mycolorscreen.com and in those UCCW threads.
But there is one thing thats bugging me, and that is the use of app icons on the home screen. I dont like it, its too messy and too iOS'ish.
Some are replacing the app icons with other custom icons, or removes them completely, but i rarely see what i've been trying to do; to make custom icons that open a meny of apps (in one genre..)
Like one icon for music apps, and one for travel apps etc.
I have tried to fix this using tasker widgets, like this:
and when i click on the music icon, which is a tasker widget, it opens a tasker scene with a meny of 4 music apps:
This works pretty good, but i would like the tasker widget icons to be just icons, no subtext under the icon. There is no way in tasker to do this i think, i've tried to make a task with no name but it is simply not allowed.
I've also tried to make a uccw widget, but hotspots in uccw can open apps and shortcut, not a many of apps..
i know that i can make the launcher remove text under icons, but this doen not apply to my tasker widgets.
In cupcake, the workspace contains 3 screens of cells. How to make the number of screens a little more? Such as 5 or 7 screens. I've tried to change SCREEN_COUNT in launcher.java and add codes like <include android:id="@+id/cell4" ... /> to launcher.xml, but it didn't work. My emulator screen resolution is 800*480.
View 3 Replies View RelatedFor some reason I'm having problems deleting the widgets by dragging them into the bin. 9 times out of 10, the rubbish bin refuses to appear when I long press on a widget.
Is there another way - eg some settings menus somewhere or maybe a file that I can edit.

Samsung GS II, I9100, international version running Android 4.04. Latest version of GO Launcher. Running GO Windows theme.
I cannot figure out how to add a new home page. I'm at ten right now. If I use Settings/Edit to get the multiple page view of home screens, there is no plus sign to add a home page. I must be missing something.
I am using an LG Enlighten, not as a phone but simply something to connect to hotspots with, check my email, and such things. Since I was not doing anything vital with it, I didn't put much thought into backing anything up.
Now, irritated with the default web browser, Bing and suchlike, I downloaded a bloatware remover and deleted the browser, along with two or three programs that looked like Verizon bloatware. As it turns out, one of those was my home launcher.
I did back these apps up in the program itself, but that isn't much use since I can't even access the program without a home screen.
I realized what had happened when I pressed Back to get out of the app. Instead, it went to the last app I had used. And then the one before that, and before that, and so on. I tried to keep pressing back until it would take me to the market, where I could open up the bloatware removal app and restore the backups, but eventually I came to a black screen where I could do nothing at all.
I turned off the phone, and was unable to turn it back on without performing a factory reset. Now, the phone goes to the Activation screen, and I am able to connect to USB, but that's it. The escape sequence won't bring me to the home screen - the launcher is apparently still gone.
Is there a way that I can restore the home launcher?
