Jun 8, 2010I would like to transfer pics from my computer to my phone. where on the sd card do i save them? pics i have taken with my evo go into the 100Media folder inside of the DCIM folder on my sd card. should i just dump all of the pics in this folder? will the folder be sorted out by date, or is there an app that would be good for organizing pictures and making slideshows?

Nov 18, 2008I transfer some pics from my computer to my g1. I only had about 5 pictures total and then a few days later they all seemed to disappear except for one. Does anyone know what might have caused this or has this happened to anyone? I'm not really making a big deal out of it im just curious as to what might have happened?

Mar 26, 2014I have an android phone (Moto Droid Mini XT1030, though i wouldn't think it should matter) and i want the pictures i take with it to automatically be sent to a folder on my PC everytime i am connected to a wifi network. Currently they automatically go to Google+ which is of debatable value. Sometimes Google products are fantastic and other times they seem to be missing such blatantly obvious features that it makes me crazy... but i digress.
I don't want to install any 3rd party apps if at all possible, especially on the PC. I already have G Drive installed on the PC and a drive folder would be sufficient (as opposed to a conventional folder on the PC) if that's easier to accomplish.

Apr 23, 2010So I was told by a Sprint rep that if the phone memory gets below about 80 MB then the phone will start to lag. Well I can't seem to delete enough stuff to get back above 80 MB available memory, I deleted pics, texts messages and various apps that I would have liked to keep. I started playing with my wife's phone which has more apps then mine, I checked her available phone memory and she has 102 MB!!! I can't figure out what I could have on my phone memory that would be taking up over 20 MB of space. Where can I look to try and figure this out? My wife's phone is very zippy and quick, while my phone waits forever when switching apps.
Also, How do I transfer pics I have taken on my phone to the SD card instead of using phone memory?

One of my main queries is though, file transfer from my Galaxy to my MacBook Pro - why can't I see previews of what I'm transferring? I have to transfer the file to my MacBook, and then decide if I want to keep it or not because that's the only way it'll reveal what it is. I thought I'd be able to SEE what's on my phone to then be able to select what I want to transfer. But all I see are file names which as you know are always just like IMG_0000786597.jpg

Jul 27, 2010I'm just looking for a clarification here. I understand that by doing an Nandroid backup, it backs up EVERYthing, from Rom, to apps, to data, all they way down to texts and every intimate detail about settings. I was wondering, when I do a Nandroid backup, and it saves the "nandroid" folder on my SD card, is this EVERYTHING I need? Reason being is this.
I WAS running CyanogenMod6. I have a nandroid backup on my SD Card of it. I switched to Ava's froyo ROM. I want to go back to Cyanogen using my nandroid but also want a nandroid of my Ava ROM im running now.
Could I: Transfer the Nandroid from my SD to my computer then create a NEW nandroid on my SD of AVA and have these be two complete backups of everything minus the special folders on my SD that isn't a Nandroid folder? I guess in easier terms im asking, is the ENTIRE nandroid backup stored in the nandroid folder and contain just the boot/data/system images along w/ the md5 file?

I also don't see an option in menu section for video or movie? With my samsung it was easy, as the PC studio software left you drag and drop movies in, it converted them, and then went straight into the phones movie folder. Desire seems very different?

Dec 24, 2009I recently purchased a Motorola Droid and I have to say that, while I am not easily impressed by anything, I am quite impressed with it. It is my first Android-based phone, so I am still learning the ropes. My question is this: When I take a video with my Droid, how do I transfer it to my computer? I tried emailing the video, but no attachments went thru. Is there a way to export it via USB, etc.? I know they can be sent straight to youtube if there is wifi available, but I want to send it to the computer for viewing, forwarding, burning to dvd, etc. Any advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated.
