View 6 RepliesI'm new to the forum. (Love it so far). I have a HTC Hero on Sprint and for some odd reason it just stopped allowing me to send messages that I have attached pics to. It also tells me that I have reached my size limit if I try to attach more than 1 pic to a message. It's very frustrating and I have reset it several times (taken out the battery for a few mins), but nothing seems to be working.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI did the 2.1 upgrade and camera seems to have same lagginess. Does anyone have any pointers for how to set camera for responsive pics (I have a 2 year old)? I remember seeing some tips when I first got the phone last year and it helped...I'm having no luck my own. Also, when I go to send a pic with text, it is compressing the pics very small and the quality goes to crap. Went into text setting and set the file size to the largest, but it doesn't seem to help.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I was told by a Sprint rep that if the phone memory gets below about 80 MB then the phone will start to lag. Well I can't seem to delete enough stuff to get back above 80 MB available memory, I deleted pics, texts messages and various apps that I would have liked to keep. I started playing with my wife's phone which has more apps then mine, I checked her available phone memory and she has 102 MB!!! I can't figure out what I could have on my phone memory that would be taking up over 20 MB of space. Where can I look to try and figure this out? My wife's phone is very zippy and quick, while my phone waits forever when switching apps.
Also, How do I transfer pics I have taken on my phone to the SD card instead of using phone memory?
I am using a Motorola H690. I would like to know, what is the recommended Bluetooth for the Sprint Hero? Or what Bluetooth are you using with your Sprint Hero?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI was cleaning all the crap off my phone I don't use anymore and I believe I accidently removed the bluetooth software that allows it to connect to stereo bluetooth headsets. I can control the player with the headset, I can make phone calls from it, but when I try to play music there is no sound.
I was trying to reset the phone using RUU, but it reboots the phone and then says it cannot reconnect after that and the software shuts down. I can still sync with outlook, so my driver is not the issue. I am out of ideas.
Is there anyway possible to reinstall just the bluetooth portion of the rom?
For the past 3 days, everytime someone sends me a text with an attached picture it will not show up. It now shows a box that says download and when I push the download button it doesnt do anything. Before the pic or video would show up, all I had to do was hit the play button and I could view the pic or video.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm still on 1.5 and I can't view or send pics on my hero.. Does this change on 2.1 I really don't want to download 2.1 because of its problems but I will take my phone in to the sprint store to update it just to to see pictures and be able to send them.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want MY pictures to appear in the "wallpaper gallery". i put pictures into the Wallpaper folder, but when i go to change the wallpaper on the phone and i select the source as wallpaper gallery, my pictures don't show up in there. how to make that happen? i like that wallpaper gallery because its just.. faster! plus, its cool!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI tried to using my HTC Sync software to upload my photos and vids and when I chose the "mount as hard drive" the software shows that I am "disconnected". I'm using windows Vista...
View 5 Replies View RelatedI love my sprint hero, but am on the fence about sprint itself tons of people have told me how they hated sprints service, customer service, etc..my wife and I thought the ability to send pics via messaging is a cool feature however it doesn't appear to work all that well.have tried the built in and also handcent messaging. am connected currently via my wifi at home and that doesn't help either. i realize there are probably size restrictions ( size anyone) but it should work sometimes.also the voice record feature on handsentend feature doesn't work either.
View 14 Replies View RelatedIs anyone else experiencing this too? Whenever I take a picture with my phone, it has these lines all through it.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI get pics and forward messages that I can't view.. Plus I also like to send pics to people. I have 1.5 on my phone on 2.1 is this issue fixed I will risk the trouble just to send pics. I can't find a solution other then going on sprint.com/picturemail and I'm tired of doing that now.
View 5 Replies View RelatedDidn't wanna hijack the other thread, so I wanted to share some pics of the Innocase II that I received today. I used there products for my Curve (made it too bulky) and the 3GS (perfect case it was). Buying this case was a no brainer IMO since those silicon cases collect tons of dust. Best Buy gave a free OEM Hero skin and WOW it is a dust collector. This Innocase gives the device a better grip and makes it a touch thicker, which IMO makes the phone a better handheld device to hold. Also covers up the blah grey color. As you can see from the pics, the slider case is a great fit and gives a nice "lay on the table" design, which I love. Not much more to add, but for anyone looking for a case, this has to be the best case made for the Hero.
View 26 Replies View Relatedi may totally be overlooking this but are the pics/vids sent via MMS stored. If they are on the SD card is there away to make an album? If they are not stored locally, is there an app that does this? I have SMS Backup, but i want the MMS files to be local on my SD card and in an album as all other pics/vids.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a video attachment from my gmail client and I have no way of deleting this thing now. It was 9mb of precious space and when I connect my phone to my PC I cant find it anywhere and I for sure can't find it anywhere on my phone. I also have a ton of pics on my card apparently from viewing pictures through email. How do i delete this junk. The pics don't show under gallery they just showed up when I transferred pics to my PC.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo my profile pics aren't matching up to what my Facebook contacts have currently as their default pics. It was syncing them fine up until recently. Haven't don't anything different that I know of on my hero. My setting for sync are on for Facebook. I'm running 2.0d

View 20 Replies View RelatedI am having is when I try to send a picture through picture message I get an error saying message size limit reached, you cannot attach this to your message. So in order to send a picture this way do I have to either:
a. change my camera settings to lower resolution?
b. is there a program or setting to automatically send a smaller image and keep my high res photo?
Obviously I would prefer option B as this camera rocks and takes some good pics.
Setting: It's 2006, I'm in my car. Me (into Bluetooth headset): "Call Mom..." Motorola RAZR (through headset): "Did you say 'Call Mom?" Me: "Yes..." Motorola RAZR: "Which number?" Me: "Mobile..." Motorola RAZR: "Calling Mom on Mobile...." My Mom: "Hello?" Setting: It's 2010, I'm in my car... Me (Car Bluetooth to HTC Hero or to Hero direct): "Call Mom..." HTC Hero: ..... Me: (Sighs loudly)

View 4 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know if the Hero supports Bluetooth GPS? I've read where this is only supported in 2.0+ devices. If you're running a 2.0+ ROM, would this mean you can run a Bluetooth GPS or does it also need to be supported by the Bluetooth hardware in your phone?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am just wondering if anyone would like to share pics of how you have you 7 screens setup.
View 49 Replies View RelatedGiven post count, join date... i'm more of a lurker. However I'm looking for opinions of others for an OC ROM. Day one I got the phone I was on Fresh 1.1, then wanted some 2.0 flavor and up'd to Fresh 2.0d. I love the ROM, with the exception I want to be able to use SetCPU (For OC and UC abilities) I don't use Bluetooth or Facebook/Twitter so any issues with OC roms directly related to those issues are not a problem. I prefer something less buggy and not in development phase. So what do you recommend, and why?
View 10 Replies View RelatedDoes this exist for the hero? I read it works for other htc phones and blackberry but do we have something similar?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a work phone with bluetooth and 3G internet capiblity that I don't pay for but the phone SUCKS! I have my personal Sprint Hero rooted and flashed to Pageplus. I would like to tether my Hero to the work phone thru bluetooth and use the 3G internet from the work phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bluetooth'd my Hero to my laptop and here's more info on it.
1. The speakers on the laptop serve as a wireless speaker system when you make or receive a call.
2. The speakers also play music from your Hero.
3. Transfer files to and from the Hero
4. Send a fax
5. Tether!
6. PIM sync (hello WinMo users!)
7. Wireless printing
I've performed all of these functions without a hitch. So the Hero looks as if it's a better phone than anticipated... at least for me anyway.
I just got a new bluetooth headset, and I set it up with my Hero only to find *gasp* no voice dialing? The whole point of having the headset is to not have to look at the phone while driving! The owner's manual of the Hero says it supports hands free profiles, as does my headset(obviously) but there's no voice dial. Unbelievable!
