I have found the settings to adjust the delay on the screen itself blanking, but when using the phone in the dark, the backlight behind the home, menu, back, etc, keys turns off too quickly. I might be reading and email and want to go back, but by the time I have read it, the keys are dark.
Is there a way to adjust this setting?

i focus my eyes on /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/, however, i can just turn off the backlight.
i found that the trigger in it can do complex work, so i tested it, and found some codes below

My Hero's screen won't time out anymore. It worked fine until today. I have the screen timeout setting set to 30 seconds and it just dims and stays dimmed without actually locking it completely. What other setting do I need to adjust?

View 12 Replies View RelatedWhenever I am using any app and press the home button, the home screen blacks out for a few secs and it takes around 10 sec to get all the icons back and before I can start using my phone again. I am using a non rooted mytouch 3g.
This problem does not happen if I exit an app by pressing the back button. It becomes very annoying at times.

View 6 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone have a problem with the backlight on the Home/Menu/Back/seach buttons. On my Incredible sometimes they come on when I bring it out of sleep and stay on. Other times they don't come on at all. Sometimes they just come on in the middle of doing something on the phone.
Have added some apps from the market but can't remember if it was like this from the start. Did a reboot and battery pull but it's still occuring.
I have also had a couple phantom reboots when in sleep mode so not sure if it's related.
New to the forum and the reason I signed up is I can't seem to find anything online about the problem I'm having with my HTC Desire. I am running a custom Froyo ROM (DeFrost 5.1) with ClockworkMod 2.5.0.7. My issue is that sometimes when I'm in an application (as far as I can tell, any application..haven't been able to pick up on any patterns, other than I have to be in the app for more than about 15 seconds) and I hit the home button, there is about a 5+ second delay before the phone reacts. While I'm waiting, the current app is fully functional as if I hadn't done anything although after waiting it will do it's usual process to get back to the home screen (fluid animation and everything). Hitting the home button multiple times seems to make the process go faster, although there is still a delay (the sense of it happening faster could simply be that I'm doing something instead of just sitting there too and it's not a real decrease in the delay). I have Launcher Pro Plus installed with "Keep in memory" and "Use homescreen caches" options enabled to try and make the home screen react faster. Memory usage preset is set to "High" and Homescreen cache type is set to normal. The weird thing about this is before I installed the custom ROM, I was experiencing the same thing with Android 2.1 w/ Sense UI since I got the phone (got it end of August) and if I remember correctly happened both with and without Launcher Pro installed (didn't know about the memory settings in Launcher Pro at the time so they were at default then). Is anyone experiencing a similar issue and/or does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this? I really like Android and truly want to love it, but things like this just keep getting in the way. If it's an OS issue then Google really needs to work on this as it really is nuts when you want to switch apps to wait 5+ seconds before even getting started.

This just started happening lately. Every time I set my screen timeout to anything other than the default 30 seconds, it will just change itself back in a couple of minutes. I can't think of any apps I've installed recently that could possibly be causing this. Any ideas on how to fix this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust a neat trick, but not sure how useful it really is.If you want to lock the screen without turning the phone backlight off, you can do so by placing a finger on any of the four "touch-sensitive" buttons and pressing the power key.The screen will stay on, but the device will lock.It's up to you to find a practical purpose for doing so.I just though I'd share the feature (bug?) with you all.

Sure, I know that you can press the 'end call' button to end a call, but about three or four rings into the call, the backlight goes out, meaning that the on-screen 'end call' option is disabled, presumably also meaning that turning on the speakerphone during a call is going to need some tactile finger acrobatics.
