View 3 RepliesFirst off thanks for all the great info. I have been lurking for a while and couldn't have rooted without your guys After I rooted my Eris (Now running Non sensible 13.2 after trying tazz froyo and a few others) I now have problems with my touch screen, especially on the upper right side quadrant. Just curious if anyone has any solutions or has experienced the same type of problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to turn up the sensitivity on the touch screen?It seems decent enough, but it is no where near as resposive as my old iPhone.Why? It just seems like I have to touch everything on the screen twice.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI can't find anything on this function. I.E. For those with a heavier touch, unwanted applications are opened when scrolling or navigating around the screen. For example, my contact list.I'll be running down the list to let's say the " R's " and when I get near the person I want to contact and slide the list up or down to center their view, it seems like the slightest touch anywhere besides right on their name opens up the wrong one.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've had my hero for about 10 days now. So far I am loving it way more than my old winmo phone.That said, I find that the screen is just not nearly as touch sensitive as my ipod touch and im kind of disappointed. I have to press things sometimes 2 or 3 times to get it go. Especially in the corners
1. I did do the text alignment delay
2. I have a screen protector. Its a $20 Invisible Shield by ZAGG that is off the shelf. Could that be causing the slow and unresponsive screen? What do you guys use?
3. Does the hero really NEED a screen protector? I previously had an HTC touch DIAMOND and i didn't use a screen protector evre and it got scratched up to HELL. Just for reference, I used my ipod almost in the same way (in and out of jeans pocket, not with keys, etc) and it didn't scratch AT ALL.Any way to improve this would make me way less disappointed here.
Sometimes the touchscreen is just fine, but other times it falls in sensitivity.I find myself have to press down hard on the screen in order for it to recognize the touch.This has been the case both with or without a screen protector.Anyone else experience this? Can this be improved in any way by the future 2.1 update?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to adjust this? I was at a concert last night and tried to record a few clips, and when I got home, everything is muffled as hell. I found someone else who posted a video of the concert and was maybe ~15-20' from where I was at, yet theres is clear. I doubt it was from another incredible, but I've had this issue with digital cameras too. Any way I can fix this so I can get some good clips next time i go to a concert?

I find myself calling people when all I want to do is scroll down my contacts list, and while browsing on the internet, scrolling through a web page ends up with me selecting hyperlinks instead.Is there a way to make it so you have to keep your finger on an item a little longer to actually select it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am the developer of WordUp! This game makes heavy use of the View touch apis to detect press and drag gestures across the letter cubes. Once in a while, I'll get a complaint (unfortunately coupled with a lower star rating) related to not being able to press and drag very easily. For example: "Would be fantastic if touch sensitivity wasn't so off-I had to practically dig my finger into the screen and drag it to connect letters." As a developer, this is really frustrating as I think this is an issue with the HTC Dream 1 hardware and possibly the Android 1.1 OS. I don't think it's fair that I would get dinged for a problem which rightly falls into the court of HTC/Google. In my experience with my own dev phone, I have found that a certain amount of natural oil on your fingertip makes a big difference in how easy it is to press and drag. I know that the touch screen is based on electrical current and, as such, it makes sense that the more oil on your finger, the better "connection" your finger will make with the screen. Perhaps the aforementioned user windexes the screen on a regular basis or compulsively hand-washes? In any case, I am requesting some reasonable explanation for this as I know it's not an isolated incident.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Pantech sky LTE A800s android phone. Recently, I've having this random lost of touch sensitivity!!! After having this problem for a few weeks, My phone suddenly lost its touch sensitivity completely. I had it rooted and it's running on a Vietnamese custom ROM then recently updated it to the latest Jelly-bean with the stock ROM and root-removed. And, this problem only happen in the lock screen. If I've got through the lock screen(If the sensitivity works), everything works fine. Also, all the hard keys work fine throughout this problem.
I've tried to install different ROMs and factory reset several times but nothing worked. I brought it to te store where I bought it the other day and they told me that this can be fixed but it'd cost more than a new one.
Here is the picture of the phone if you're not familiar with it:
(This phone is also running on the new stock ROM)
anyone have a dock like me and when you try to push app icons or enter calendar info or try to type, the Droid wigs out? You push here but the app 2 apps over highlights or opens. Try to long press on the Calendar to do an input and the page just jiggles back and fourth like it cannot decide what your doing? Use your finger to flick to another home screen, and instead, it triggers the app shelf to open.

Question is when are these new phones gonna come out and how hard is it gonna be to convince them to exchange it after 30 days. I might just return my phone at 30 days and get the new hardware when it's ready.
is there a way to reduce the sensitivity of the screen because when i type something i sometimes have my fingers hovering over the screen (NOT touching it) and it registers it as a key stroke! how can i reduce this sensitivity?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if there is a way to turn down the sensitivity for landscape rotation. Sometimes when I just sit my phone down on my desk, even if I only turn it a little bit, it goes landscape. It's kind of annoying because then when I pick it up, I have to turn it landscape and back to portrait so the accelerometer picks up that I'm turning it. It seems too sensitive at times.

View 4 Replies View Relatedhow to adjust screen sensitivity under Android, specifricaly Froyo on Nexus One?
I'm trying to research this topic but there seems to be very little information about this. I can't find any tool, script or custom rom that would allow screen sensitivity to be adjusted.
I found a thread talking about doing it for Liqid's touch using script but that's about it. I took a look on the script and I can't move forward with it as the path's script uses do not exists in my Nexus One. The goal is to make the screen more sensitive then it is as a default.
Thread reference above:
[URL]
Script:
#!/system/bin/sh
sensitivity=25
noise=25
echo "set sensitivity to $sensitivity"
echo $sensitivity > /sys/devices/platform/i2c-adapter/i2c-0/0-005c/sensitivity
echo "set noise to $noise"
echo $noise > /sys/devices/platform/i2c-adapter/i2c-0/0-005c/noise
echo "done"
Just a quick question about the Captivate. I just got myself an HTC Aria and I love how easy it is to use the touch screen on it. Its extremely responsive. Now my sister has the SamSung Instinct on Sprint and the touch screen is horrible compared to HTCs touch on the Aria. Im thinking about taking the HTC back to AT&T and getting the Samsung Captivate. I am just worried about the touch screen on it and if it will be like the Instincts? If the touch is as good as HTCs Ill get it. If its not, then Ill stick with the Aria because despite its size, its an extremely fun and responsive phone. Any thoughts?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm just going crazy (wouldn't put it past myself) but it almost seems as if after I rooted my droid and starting using Pete's BB Roms (currently using 0.4) my touch sensitivity on the screen has decreased. I've been finding that I've had to tap more than once (sometimes repeatedly) on some functions to get a response that I previously had no trouble with.I've not tried any other ROMs and I haven't gone back to stock to test.I also am NOT using any type of screen protector.Has anyone else had similar issues?

View 2 Replies View RelatedBut sometimes other small parts/and or button commands lock-up. For example; since I am new to Swype, I decided to take the tutorial and each time I would click (or even tried to slide) the next button, it wouldn't respond took about 5-7 tries.While on the phone with tech/and CS yesterday (for whole diff issue), I asked about the Capacitive Button Sensitivity - as mine wasn't working that well either (as others have mentioned). Tech had me remove the battery for 2 full minutes, and put back in - and now the Capacitive Buttons works perfectly.Anyone else having partial screen/certain buttons not responding to commands? I guess I could try removing the battery again, but I am not sure that will fix it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedYesterday when I was going to sleep, I had my phone plugged in when I received a text. I attempted to unlock the phone, and it wouldn't! I started freaking out a bit, finally was able to unlock it, but had a tough time replying using the keyboard. It seemed the screen was spazzing out. When I unplugged the phone, everything was fine. I installed the free Paint application and ran some tests. As can be seen, using a charger that outputs > 850mA (the stock charger's value) is no good for touch sensitivity. If anyone can chime in with other concerns, that would be very helpful. I find that the 1000mA charger definitely charges the phone faster; does anyone think that this is bad for the phone (aside from the screen issue)?
I misread the stock charger's amperage initially; I thought it was 250mA, which is why I'm using the 1000mA. I think for now I'll switch to the stock charger. I would like to use the 1000mA if any other users think that would be fine. I don't have a problem unplugging it to use it.
Just got my Galaxy S 2 days ago, loving it so far but does anyone know any app that works with adjusting the brightness for the phone beyond what default brightness setting . Even on the lowest setting it is still so bright, and on the battery use page it say that the display uses 65% of the battery.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have spent the last two years with the Instinct. Now with a couple days on the Evo I would like to comment on a couple of big improvements. I liked the Instinct and it was flawless as a phone. The Evo with its large screen blows it away. Colors on videos and in photos on web browsers are way better. I am a webmaster for a site that is very photo intensive and my opinion is that the Evo colors are very accurate. This is no small thing as our customers need to see the products clearly if they are to make buying decisions. Text in the browser will auto adjust when you expand the screen and I could read articles without my reading glasses which I need for almost everything. These two things make the web actually usable on my phone now.
