Feb 6, 20101st time poster long time lurker. I have done a search on Google trying to find a solution or at least a reason as to why my phone is behaving this way. Search produces nothing. This week my phone started behaving strange. I will get a call, but the caller ID no longer displays. Suddenly the screen starts to flash and I have to unlock the screen in order to see who is calling. By the time the screen is unlocked the person has already hung up. I have not done anything (add new programs) in the last 2 weeks and I am not sure why this is happening.

Also, there are a couple of new icons at the top of my home screen - an "E" inside a circle and after a phone call, I get a green circle in the notification bar.

Dec 7, 2009I hate the lock screen on the Hero, I know their is a way to turn it off, but i don't like getting a message and then the phone doing something in my pocket. Is their a way to extract the .apk of the lock screen from the droid, and just install it on the hero, I understand that the resolution on the hero is different, but hate the current lock screen, i have to slide it down 2-3 times for it to recognize. I downloaded lock 2.0 already on the market, its not bad. but it takes 3-4 seconds on my phone to actually give me the slide to unlock screen.

Apr 25, 2010Here's an interesting thing that just occurred for me. I used kitchen to push the stock android keyboard to my phone and removed the LWPs so when I went to reboot my phone it locked up at the boot screen where the little android emblem is hanging off the HERO while waving it's hand. I'm running Fresh 2.0d just in case that matters at all.

Mar 15, 2010I have had my hero 4 months now and Love the phone...But a few weeks ago certain programs where it says press to start would not work. I have to use the small roller ball on the bottom. I press and press but nothing happens. This is with a few programs such as the RAC app. I have reset, cleaned the screen etc!. The screen touch works in that area as I can use keyboard. My girl friends hero and friends seem so much better, keyboard is easier ti use aalso. I've callibrated etc and nothing!. Is it broke?

Nov 4, 2010I recently rooted my Hero using superoneclick, worked like a charm. I downloaded ROM Manager and was looking to start experimenting with ROMs. For starters, I figured I'd load one of the ROMs already preloaded in ROM Manager (free version).
So I downloaded the ROM which seemed to go fine, clicked on it, followed the prompts which eventually led me to reboot into recovery mode via Clockworkmod to "complete the installation." So I got to the reboot screen, here's what it looked like (below). What do I do from here? Where did the ROM download to? How do I "complete installation." Thanks.
Not sure what to do once I reach this screen. It already asked if I wanted to back up the current ROM and wipe, which I agreed to. when I downloaded the ROM it didn't ask me where I wanted to save it to, when I got to this screen I looked in the SD card by clicking "install zip from SD card" and didn't see it there. Where is it?
