Does anyone know any Notepad app that I could use one my home screen? I want a notepad where I can write a note that fills the whole screen. And please tell how I use it/what settings are needed to get it on the home screen.

Can anyone direct me to somewhere on how to customize the screens? Also, there are a couple of new icons at the top of my home screen - an "E" inside a circle and after a phone call, I get a green circle in the notification bar.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for some kind of list making app or a notepad app that can keep an ongoing list. More specifically I would like to find a good way to keep track of my DVDs. I never know whats missing because I have so many or if I'm buying a new one, whether or not I have it already. So I'm just looking for something that can handle a long list (600+ movies I have) and simply a check box to click if it has been loaned out and a numbering system to keep track of the running total. I can't find anything that really does that. Any suggestions?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have had a look around this site but can't seem to find anyone else having the same problem as me.I downloaded an application that changed the unlock screen to the same as the iPhone.For some reason this changed my home-screen was well as my unlock screen.My HTC Hero had the same home screen as this:

But now it has changed back to the G1 (T-Mobile G1) and looks like this:

The long bar across the bottom with call etc has disappeared and changed to one square box. I have uninstalled the application but there is nothing to change it back. Can anyone help?
I am getting a Hero on Monday from Orange with the 500mb deal. I have seen on adverts that the Hero has a home screen with updated weather on it etc? To get this feature does the phone have to be constantly online? If so wouldnt this be pointless and use the allowance very fast?

I can still add/remove contacts to and from my favorites but I don't know how to get favorites log back on home screen. Any ideas?

This is referring to the homescreen and the default home is what the defualt android home screen looks like and HTC sence is what i need. I clicked on the Defualt home and now my home screen looks different. How do i get that option to pop up again so I can choose HTC sence?
I was wondering if anyone has a cure for this. The phone is rooted and on Villain 5.x. I've recently started using the camera and noticed that it will abruptly close on me - no force close message or anything - just back to the Home screen. A reboot seems to fix it for a few snaps, then the same again.

I have just got my hero back from RMA with a new screen. (the old one was fubar). But now the back button is bringing me the homescreen. And not the last screen. So if I browse my settings, and go 4 screens in. I want the back button to bring me to screen 3 (like it used to), and not to the home screen.

Music, weather, notepad, and calendar widgets
I'm not interested in Twitter and I haven't found the stock text or email widgets to be that useful because I can only see one at a time and usually have to link to the full program. The icons with unread number are working well enough.I'm looking for any cool widget or folder ideas that I may have passed over on the market, or creative layout ideas.
I have a small htc weather widget on one screen that I cant delete. Long press just opens the alp.

Underneath the clock it just goes blank and i have to go into weather and refresh for it to come back. Then a little while later it will be blank again.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have it set up update hourly, and it will show it to be sunny, even until 8PM sometimes 9PM.It's not exactly sunny at that time of day, I'd more expect to see the moon by that time of evening.Is this just weird, or is it just using the "official" sunset time of 8 something and calling it sunny until then? I'm a very new Hero user.I'm within my 30 days, and very tempted to take my Hero back and get a Evo, but, don't want to spend the extra $$ for the Evo, and don't need the extra monthly expense either!

But it has shown me that I am not nearly as tech savy as I liked to think I was. I am a little overwhelmed with this phone.

I've seen some other Android Phones/Tablets doing this and would like to be able to do so. Or does anyone know if this will be an option in the 2.1 update? I heard that the Droid used to do this, and then some update messed it up, but then saw it going into landscape mode on the video they posted today of the Droid running 2.1.
