HTC Tattoo : Can I Roll Back To An Older ROM?

Jun 30, 2010

I stupidly installed the Orange ROM update on my Tattoo and am now having the issue with it only ringing once. Is there anyway I can roll back to an older ROM? I've downloaded V 1.65.405.1 but the phone won't let me install it. I remember on an old SPV phone when I was trying to remove the Orange branding I had to unplug it when it was trying to do the ROM update which corrupted the phone and allowed me to install the unbranded ROM. I'm wondering if doing that would work but I don't wanna risk it.

General :: Nexus 7 - How To Roll Back From Kitkat To Jelly Bean

Feb 1, 2014

I have a Nexus 7 2012 wifi version that I have updated to kit kat. I decided to root it but there's no way, believe me I've spent a lot of time on it. No driver available (or at least nothing works). I need to roll it back to jelly bean, then I should be able to get the correct driver and root it. So here's the 64 thousand dollar question: How can I take a device that's already been updated to kit kat and install jelly bean on it?

HTC Hero :: Sync Modified Back Update To Outlook?

Oct 6, 2009

Hero newbie here. I'm currently a Blackberry user (the Pearl, smallest BB made, had it for 2 years), and have decided I want a larger screen and better browsing capability. I use the Blackberry "BIS" service, which means that I don't have wireless sync w/my company's exchange server - I sync contacts/calendar/notes via bluetooth with Outlook on my PC, and get email OTA of course. So I've been thinking about the Blackberry Storm2 to get a larger screen, etc., but when I saw the news today that the Hero is coming to Verizon I did a double-take. I've done some research and the interface and user customization available on the Hero look just great, best I've seen to date.My biggest concern is how it will work for managing my Outlook email/contacts/calendar/notes, and multiple gmail accounts. So what I'm curious about...
1. I have four gmail email accounts - I assume I can set up all four on the Hero, correct? What is the max number of email accounts I can set up on the Hero?
2. I can not sync my Outlook calendar/contacts to Google due to company security issues, so I can't use the Hero's Google wireless sync capability. Will the Hero Sync app allow me to sync Contacts/Calendar/Notes from Outlook to the Hero via USB?
3. If I modify a contact, calendar event, or outlook note on the Hero will Hero Sync the modified back the update to Outlook?
4. If I receive an Outlook meeting invite on my BB, it automatically appears on my BB calendar, meeting reminders appear, etc. Does the Hero have the ability to automatically add new meetings to my Hero calendar when meeting invite emails arrive on the phone?
5. Any issues w/setting up a work email account (Exchange) on the Hero? (I do have IMAP access to my work email account.)
6. The BB provides an individual email folder for each account, as well as an aggregate email folder that displays all messages received from all email accounts in date order. Does the Hero also offer a way to view all emails received from all accounts in a single folder?

HTC EVO 4G :: Roll Call / SERO Plan

Jun 2, 2010

There have been other threads for carrier jumpers but I just wanted to see how many people are finally getting off of the old SERO plans because of the EVO. I was tempted for awhile to get a Touch Pro 2 and stay on SERO but eventually decided to get the EVO. It's going to be about double what I'm currently paying but the way I see it it's still a better deal than what the other carriers offer for a phone that has a list of features that very few phones can match.Sprint is probably going to be REALLY happy to see me off of that plan!

HTC Desire :: How To Get Back My Wifi After Update

Jul 2, 2010

Quote (in red) below from weirdNumber Mine is a Desire that i have previously debranded. I have formatted an SD card, copied over the downloaded zip file, re-named it, but it fails with incorrect CID. Do i need to create a Goldcard again?

I basically did the same thing that I did when I debranded my phone.

You need a goldcard (Lekky has a guide on his website) then I installed the
RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4. 06.00.02_2_release_126984_signed.exe from RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4. 06.00.02_2_release_126984_signed.ex - xda-developers

I said it was from Modaco earlier which was my mistake.

I suspect if your phone is already a generic one then you can just download the zip from that thread and follow;

7- Restarted 2 times and the new rom was there

The procedure didn't worked if I tryed to rename the zip file into update.zip and went in the recovery menu, I got an error like "invalid keys detected"

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 ::back Up Before Software Update

Aug 6, 2010

Im about to do my first update and i really dont have a clue what im doing !! i downloaded the free MY back up yesterday .. saved apps and data to the sd card and started the download through the phone in the software update section in 'about phone' ...neway i ran out of time before i went to work and cancelled the update as it was taking AGES !

So i today , i go to resume the update , but check first that all my data is still in my back up ... and surprise surprise my 30 day free trial has ran out after less than 24 hrs ! ... thank god i checked !

Anyway ... what i really want to know is ... A) is it worth the updates .. any real benefit ? (bearing in mind im not very technically minded , clearly!)

B) If it is .. then what is the best, trusty free file manager ... that will store my apps , contacts , settings etc ... basically everything!

C) Should i do it through the website, via my laptop and usb rather than through the phone ?

heres my stats ...not that i have a clue what they mean....baseband 1.0.14, kernel 2.6.29-rel, build number R1FA014. i gather that these updates alter the build number?
