Jun 30, 2010I stupidly installed the Orange ROM update on my Tattoo and am now having the issue with it only ringing once. Is there anyway I can roll back to an older ROM? I've downloaded V 1.65.405.1 but the phone won't let me install it. I remember on an old SPV phone when I was trying to remove the Orange branding I had to unplug it when it was trying to do the ROM update which corrupted the phone and allowed me to install the unbranded ROM. I'm wondering if doing that would work but I don't wanna risk it.

HTC Hero :: How Much Next Version Rom Upgrade Back Up?
Feb 23, 2010When I upgrade to next version of ROM for my hero, be it 2.0 or 2.1 wil I loose preintslled apps & games like Fascebook & tweeter or ar they hard programmed into Hero. I have backed up my apps using Astro. Not sure how much this back up. Could someone give me the definitive procedure for keeping as much data as possible on phone when the update is release in March?

I looked up the solution online and they told me to go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Market>Uninstall Updates. I did that and now I have the old version on the Market, so I don't have automatic updating and there is no "Update All" button, so I can't do that either. I tried rebooting my phone, no luck. Jul 16, 2010This mostly applies to folks who have flashed the leaked ota and want to go back to legit stock. There is generally a problem with that, because we cannot use the RUU due to the upgraded Hboot (no radio has nothing to do with it).
Through my travels, I found a way to do it.
This is not without its risks, and I take no responsibility for any broken phones, knocked up cats, or homeless hamsters caused from the havoc it may wreak.
It did work for me, quite well. I was able to flash to an old RUU without issue like nothing ever happened.

1. Download and unzip the files I have attached to this thread and put them somewhere that you can push them with adb.
2. You must used Unrevoked's latest tool to install clockwork.
3. Boot into clockwork recovery, go to partitions, and mount data.

I was tempted for awhile to get a Touch Pro 2 and stay on SERO but eventually decided to get the EVO. It's going to be about double what I'm currently paying but the way I see it it's still a better deal than what the other carriers offer for a phone that has a list of features that very few phones can match.Sprint is probably going to be REALLY happy to see me off of that plan!

I was going to use some sort of film protector, such as Zagg invisible shield and a Flip Case. But the only flip case I can find for the Galaxy S looks horrid, and I am not sure on the texture of Zagg Invisible Shields.I have also considered silicone gel cases, but I am having trouble finding one that is nice, and pouches in combo with a screen protector.What would you use and if I did buy a screen protector, which brand should it be, I want one that will protect but with minimum difference to the feel or colour of the screen.
