View 1 Replies View RelatedThere have been other threads for carrier jumpers but I just wanted to see how many people are finally getting off of the old SERO plans because of the EVO. I was tempted for awhile to get a Touch Pro 2 and stay on SERO but eventually decided to get the EVO. It's going to be about double what I'm currently paying but the way I see it it's still a better deal than what the other carriers offer for a phone that has a list of features that very few phones can match.Sprint is probably going to be REALLY happy to see me off of that plan!
View 29 Replies View RelatedI stupidly installed the Orange ROM update on my Tattoo and am now having the issue with it only ringing once. Is there anyway I can roll back to an older ROM? I've downloaded V 1.65.405.1 but the phone won't let me install it. I remember on an old SPV phone when I was trying to remove the Orange branding I had to unplug it when it was trying to do the ROM update which corrupted the phone and allowed me to install the unbranded ROM. I'm wondering if doing that would work but I don't wanna risk it.

No driver available (or at least nothing works). I need to roll it back to jelly bean, then I should be able to get the correct driver and root it. Its been perfectly fine since I installed it over a month ago, but recently my memory card corrupted and now I cannot download any apps off the market.I had an ext2 partition, so I reformatted my memory stick the exact same way it was before it corrupted. Download unsuccessful - Cannot Download. The content is not supported on the phone.
After looking into this it became apparent that the PHP Magic, that handles the downloads from the website, recognises the file as a .zip file rather then a .apk file and sends the it a .zip, that the phone does not recognise.
Does anyone know a way to get PHP Magic to recognise the file as an apk so that file extension does not get changed and the phone can recognise it?
Don't know if anyone else is having the same problem as me, but I can't download anything from the market. I have had this problem for the last couple of days, all my downloads just stay stuck on starting download.

While I can access the market and mark apps for download, I noticed that the downloads never start. It just remains in the state of "Starting download". It's not an internet connection issue as I can browse the internet through wifi. Any idea?

I was able to exchange the phone and I've reloaded my apps and gotten my contacts all back in play. Now I've tried to download my music onto my SD card and it's telling me the SD card is unavailable. I have a few questions about this phone, or more to the point, the android OS running it. I see that it only has android 1.5 on it at the moment, and there are no newer upgrades available yet. That said, I've read in numerous places on the net that android 2.1 is coming to the HTC hero at the end of this week or start of next week depending on your network, is this true? What would this upgrade actually improve? My new phone seems pretty stable and usable as it is already, wasn't voted best phone of 2009 for nothing I guess. My second query is about the apps from the android market. When this 2.1 upgrade comes, I expect it'll wipe the phone clean and reinstall with the newer OS. If any apps are already paid for, will I have to pay again to download them a second time? Or is there any way of me backing them up first?

Sometimes it seems like the attachment downloads with it comes thru MMS because it will say "Downloading" after touching the bubble but when it appears to be done, I can't find it anywhere. Then I downloaded the free version of Robo Defense over the weekend. I decided to buy the full version this morning. After I clicked through the legalese and all that it gave me the usual "check your notification bar for download progress", but it hasn't done anything for 15 minutes or so. No download progress or anything, and the app isn't installed. Does it normally take a while to start the download of a paid app (or your first paid app)?
