I want to tether my phone to my computer using that option the phone gives you when you plug it in via miniUSB. Windows XP does not find any drivers when I tell it to look for them. Is there some program or place I can get them?
I was told that with root you could go around programs like EasyTether and PDAnet which don't allow you to go to https sites.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI know that this is sort of stupid thing not to know, but how do you actually set up the link between the Eris and the desktop when using Wireless Tether? I went through the Wireless network Setup and I even went through Network Setup Wizard and Network Connections and still haven't been able to figure out how to actually initiate wireless tetherthing through wi-fi. I'm sure that it's something bonehead that I haven't considered. The only time I've set up networks is with the help of ISP tech support or the ISP setup CD.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have an ATT SGS3 and today I flashed 4.2. Everything is cool, but due to multiple flashes over the past few days, I had several (0) folders on my SD card. I know this is due to 4.2 having the option to have multiple users. Since I had like 6 (0) folders, I moved my main folder back to the newest folder. The problem? While I can see the folder in Root Explorer and CWM, it does not show up when I plug it into the computer via USB. I only see one folder and nothing else.
How can I fix it so I can see this folder when plugged into the computer? The way it is now, my personal ringtones, music and everything else are not being found as they are not being seen.
I just switched from an Eris to Incredible. Can I plug the SD card from the Eris into the new phone?

View 4 Replies View RelatedUsed PdaNet in the past under the free trial without much problem, was told not to upgrade to avoid the blocking of https and to do backup with astro to save that feature.. switched to a different phone for awhile and just came back to the eris still had pdanet installed but had removed from pc and had to reinstall there.. I can log into alot of site with user/pass but not yahoo or ebay (the two I need most) When I re-installed on pc it also reinstalled on phone. Did this mess things up? I don't need to do anything fancy with my phone but Wifi tethering sounds like it would be worth taking the plunge. I have been following the bugs and fixes thread about the 2.1 leak and the only think that initially kept me from installing the leak was everyone saying that the phone would randomly go completely silent. Haven't put my phone or computer down for the longest time. I get off of work and just want to keep tinkering. Get home from the gf's and right back at it. Sure eat, maybe sleep a little then work agian but still fiddling with my phone

Anyone else had an issue with powering up? I now have to push all of my power cords down to get a charge now. If I just plug it into the phone, no charge. It's until I jiggle the cord, is when I get a charge.
Anyone else had this issue? I might take it back in for a new one soon.
I am looking for a good case for the Droid Eris. I am a mechanic, so I need something waterproof so that oil or water getting on it won't damage my phone. Are there any of the silicone cases that plug all the holes? That and a good screen protector should take care of my problem.
