Samsung EPIC 4G :: 4G Tethering Included?
Sep 1, 2010I turn 4G on - no problem - and click on the 4G Tethering - and it never gets off of initializing. Am I doing something wrong (probably), or is tethering not included?

Sep 23, 2010I thought that we were allowed 300 MB of data roaming without running into overages. I checked my bill today online and it said I use 981 KB out of 0 KB of data available while roaming, but it said I was charged $0.00 for this.

Aug 31, 2010I was wondering if anyone has figured out how to use the built-in tethering? Once you plug the Epic into a computer you can put it into tether mode, after that it is visible on the computer as a samsung modem, however I don't know how to configure it past there. If anyone has an answer it would help out not only myself, but other Epic owners who don't feel like paying PDANet for a built in feature.

Oct 1, 2010if at all possible does anyone know an easy way to USB tether to the PC without having the hotspot on ur phone. I have seen the apps in the market but I am not too good at this and the instructions aren't that clear so a step by step would be awesome. I tried PDAnet but couldn't get it working any shared experience would help. I only want to do this because my brother was able to tether back in the day with his instinct and connect his PC to his xbox 360 and play online that way so gamers if I can an answer we can all get free connection for xbox live.

Aug 22, 2010Will it be possible to tether the epic 4g to a laptop (perhaps through USB) instead of using the wifi hot spot capability? The wifi router/hot spot option is an additional $30 a month and I don't anticipate I will need the option often enough to justify the cost. Is there an option to tether epic4g without the wifi hot spot option?

Jul 23, 2010I've been using Take5 for quite awhile now; however, recently, I decided to flash to the official 1.6 OTA release just out of curiosity. After playing around with it for a little while, I decided to flash back to Take5 (because I missed having root and I really don't like TouchWiz). After flashing back to Take5, I noticed that my baseband was still the new one (T939UVJE2) and I thought to myself, alright I got the new baseband out of this. Anyways, on to Swype... The official 1.6 OTA release includes a newer version of Swype than Take5. Upon testing it, I found it to work a little better than the one in Take5 (slightly more accurate and a little faster). Could someone please send me the new version of the swype apk that's included in 1.6 OTA release?

There is a speed dial button on the #1 keypad for the voicemail, but we have visual voicemail. So why give us an unneeded speed dial and not let us have access to the rest of them. Sep 9, 2010Has anyone figured out how to do this? When I hold my finger on a text and choose forward, I only get the box where I have to type in each contact individually. Is there a way to show a list of my contacts when forwarding or at least a way to forward to a group? I have groups set up, but there doesnt seem to be a way to access them when forwarding. I have tried every option and every menu and cant find out how to do this on the Epic?
