Android :: Removing Weather Animation In Beautiful Widgets
May 4, 2010Is it possible to remove the weather animation in Beautiful Widgets? I'm using Beautiful Smaller Home on my first screen. I still want my weather description (clear, partly cloudy, etc) on the left, but the moon/sun animation is covering part of my background photo. Is there any way to simply omit the animation?

Apr 12, 2010I just thought that I would share the differences with my home screen between sense and helix. The bottom bar on helix is perfect, and can be used to change the default dialer and still have it 'stuck' on the bottom. Helix gives you a lot of space to clean up, and you can add/remove screens and get rid of clutter. If your a freak about the layout of your phone, like me, you should really give helix a try.
The only thing I miss is the HTC animated weather widget, is there any way it could be ported over?
They obviously use a different source for the actual weather information, but I don't think the HTC weather widget is that integrated into sense that it wouldn't work on helix...Can anyone explain why it doesn't (or so far hasn't been ported)?

On a daily basis I will toggle between 4 different home screens, 3 different music players, 4 different internet browsers various wallpapers, various weather widgets. I'm sure if I was able to settle one having the same layout on a daily basis I wouldn't be charging my phone 2 times a day.

Jul 15, 2013I got my Galaxy S3 (custom build cm10.1) from my pocket to notice it said "safe mode" on the bottom. It might be that I accidentally pressed buttons to get into safe mode; but thats not the problem here.
I noticed that all my custom accounts were now missing (Caldav, Carddav, Xing, and some more). Only the google accounts remain. As all my contacts and calendar entries are on the caldav/carddav server, they went missing, too (of course, they will come back when re-adding the account). I didn't know about the existence of safe mode, I thought like "what the...", and restarted the phone, and it came up without safe mode now. But - the accounts are still missing, and taking a closer look I noticed that some customized or account-related widgets (K9 for example) are also missing now. At least most of the app data seems to still be present; even the Xing app works as expected, even though the related account is missing from the settings. It seems all the account related data is still there.
I've got three questions now:
1) Is it normal, that the described accounts/widgets get permanently lost when entering safe mode?
2) Is there a way to restore these without manually entering/configuring them again?
3) What _other_ data/settings I perhaps didn't notice until now can go missing when entering safe mode?
General :: Removing Widgets From Home Screen?
Oct 24, 2013For some reason I'm having problems deleting the widgets by dragging them into the bin. 9 times out of 10, the rubbish bin refuses to appear when I long press on a widget.
Is there another way - eg some settings menus somewhere or maybe a file that I can edit.

Jul 26, 2010I just installed BW along with launcherpro...and while I do enjoy launcherpro, BW sucks because the weather is like 20 degrees off and no matter what I do, it stays that way. Basically, nothing I've seen is better than HTC Sense weather clock.Are there any GOOD alternatives to BW that includes a clock and weather animations or at least a good weather/clock combination?

I recently purchased Beautiful Widgets.
It has been raining hard all day, and even with GPS update activated, it said it was cloudy all day and it seemed to be about 4-5 degrees off every other site.

Jan 13, 2010On the homescreen...no weather picture. If I open up the weather, there is no big picture the thre small ones on the bottom for the forcast show pics. I read some older posts that show problems similar with the problem being googles weather service. I have tried using just the zipcode...Just the use local...nothing makes it show the weather pic.

Jan 7, 2010Been using the weather widget free. Love it. However, lately its been telling me that its sunny at night when it should say clear. the moon icon is correct and still shows up. Anyways.....so yesterday I downloaded Beautiful widgets which appear to be back in the market and it tells me that its sunny at night too? Any idea why? Also a question for beautiful widget owners. They said the weather animates. So far I have not seen any animations at all on the homescreen widget. Am I doing something wrong? Also is there a way for the widget (beautiful smaller home) to source weather data from the stock htc weather app? I thought I had it selected to launch weather when I tap the weather info in the widget, but that still launches the beautiful weather screen. Conversely when I tap the date and time I'm taken to the respective stock apps like I want.

May 27, 2010Why doesn't Beautiful Widgets allow the weather animation on the home screen? The animations show in the 3 day forecast but not on the home screen. Are there any apps that enable you to change the clock and still enable weather animations? I hate the stock clock.

May 3, 2010Generally my location is detected normally but on occasion i get a number instead of the town i am in on the home screen clock widget. Same goes with the weather widget. I know its not a problem with the town information because sometimes it works and generally does so after being at the location for awhile. However today, for example, my location at work simply displays as "5". It has not updated itself after about 8 hours and counting. Friday it was fine.

May 17, 2010So since the 2.1 OTA my weather widget will display the city, but no weather icon. if i sync it manually, it will show up. with 1.5 it would update every 3 hours, regardless if i had Background data on or off (i normally keep it off).
so now with 2.1 it wont sync unless i have BG data on, or do it manually. any way around this?

Apr 5, 2010I had uninstalled the Weather Widgets app with the HTC style flip clock because I had falsely believed it was causing some FC crashed on my Droid. When I re-installed it, it appears that the flip clock now defaults to a transparent backing with white lettering. Is there any way to get it back to plain white with black lettering? I haven't installed any extras...just the default. Attached is a screen cap of what the flip clock looks like now. I want to get it back to the traditional HTC style flip clock look. Any ideas?
