View 1 Replies View RelatedI just flashed the latest version of White Widow.When I bring up the dialer and start to dial by name (i.e. 5 - 6 - 3 for JOE), the dialer does not bring up matching names. Is this a sense thing?
View 11 Replies View RelatedOk so Iv'e tried and tried and tried and tried to get the transparent theme with metamorph and i just cant do it. I can get some themes to work and the others not so much. So i went exactly by the directions and I still cant do it! Is there a way i could have it in a zip and just flash it like the others do for themes? Please help, im a huge WW fan and love this theme!

I thought it may be a good idea to get a single thread started to discuss things related to WW. Long story short, I PM'd andrizoid to get his blessing and decided to throw up a thread. Let's all try and post here and that way we will have the best chance of helping everyone who wants to try it out.For now WW lives here but be on the look out for a new site soon.
View 49 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to White Widow 3.1, and I love it except for some of the stock HTC stuff I really liked like the keyboard, dialer, and camera (the droid one sucks imo). I followed the proper steps for the keyboard (put it in the system/app folder) and it works perfectly. No such luck for the camera, and dialer. Does anyone know why? Are there any OTHER HTC apps I can use, or how to put these ones on there?
View 22 Replies View RelatedI'm running White Widow 4.6 with Google Apps installed and JIT on. Not all of my FB contacts are syncing with my phone contacts. For example, my sister is not linked to any FB profile when she should be. The names match up. Most of the people are, but some aren't. I can't find a way to link it manually to her FB profile. All of my contacts sync'd fine with the stock OS. Anybody else have this issue? Do you have a solution? I had the same problem in KaosFroyo v23 and never found a solution.

Anyways the question is regarding the 2.1 update. I know many of you are like go search. But the thing is that this question has not been asked a lot from what I have seen on the forum. So considering that Verizon has the update, why are they toying with us and why don't they just release it all over the nation or on the Verizon site already?

Iīve added those spinners to my layout without editing most of itīs properties and this way it works for most of my users. Unfortunately most isnīt all and then some of them started complaining that the list of options is showing text in white with over a white background! Iīd like to know if thereīs a way (or a property) so I can force those spinners to show the options list using text in black.

I am almost able to log in to it, but then it asks me for my birthday because I'm not browsing from a "familiar location". So I select my correct birth date from the drop-down menus, but the Login button stays grayed out for some reason and I can't go any further. Has anyone else had any success?My reason for wanting this is so I can access the actual Notifications page. The way I currently have it set up, I get an e-mail notification in Gmail. Then when I click the link in the e-mail for whatever update it's supposed to take me to, it just takes me to the homepage of Facebook Mobile. Then sometimes it won't even list the New Notifications link. This makes it very inconvenient if I want to go find where to reply to a comment or something. I have to know exactly where it is, which is difficult if it's not recent.

Verizon just sent me my new Eris after mine decided to stop connecting to google. Maybe I never noticed this before, or maybe it is a defect. But, if you go to an all white screen, do you see black pixels spread out evenly like a grid on your screen?

Isn't google or a home page supposed to come up. the way i get to a web page then is to hit the magnifying glass (which brings me to google search). isn't a homepage supposed to come up when i hit that browser button. how do i make that happen?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had my Eris for maybe 3 or 4 days and I absolutely love it. I have to thank all of you for the useful tips and tricks I have been reading.
I haven't had a problem until tonight.
I was using the stock browser on MySpace, finished what I was doing, logged out and used the back key to get back to the home screen, which I always do. I could never get back to the home screen, the farthest back it would take me was to the original MySpace login screen and I had to hit the home key to get back to the home screen.
When I now try to open the browser, it acts like it is loading, I see the status bar, which loads all the way, but other than that, the screen is completely white and stays that way - the whole screen is white and never does anything.
Could this have been caused by MySpace or maybe a browser issue that happened to occur while I was on MySpace?
I have cleared cache, cleared all data, rebooted a few times, force stopped it, killed it with advanced task manager and everything else I could think of.
I just read an article about the improved youtube mobile site at m.youtube.com. I have used the youtube app since the ota that was sent out to fix it and downloaded an apk that allowed it to always default to HQ rather than having to change it each time. But I just tried out the mobile site and it is blazingly fast compared to the app. The only thing that would make me not use this over the app is that I didn't see a way to watch the videos in HQ. Am I missing something? Does anyone else have a preference for the mobile site over the app or vice versa?

I image I can limit this to some extent by using the API levels in the manifest but can I limit my app to just Droid/Milestone? I have only tested the app on these phones so I can't be sure that it will work on others. There are known issues with the Milestone and choosing an OpenGL config, among other issues, that I had to work around so it's not unreasonable that other phones can have similar issues. Also how do you do dynamic licenses via http post?

When it gets called, it throws a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError... not sure what this is supposed to mean. I think something goes wrong with the external implementation of the maps API (maps.jar). View 18 Replies View RelatedI am following the instructions on code signing on the Android Developer site, and it mentions that if you specify that you want to compile in Debug mode, it automatically signs the resulting file with a debug key. It also says that if you specify that Eclipse should compile in Release mode, that you can use the Export Wizard to generate a private key and handle the distribution signing.
Can someone point me to the setting in Eclipse for Release vs. Debug compiling. When I use the Export Wizard, I am only given the option to export unsigned. I am pretty sure I am stuck in Debug mode, since my app has no problem running in the emulator or my tethered G1.
Any word on how the evo is doing as far as number of sales? I haven't heard anything at all. Which is kind of strange usually after the first week or two a number is released.
