if there is one, to a kernel that includes the FPS fix and overclocking for 2.2? I installed the Ava release, and XDA is saying that the [Kernel]netarchy-toastmod, FPS 'fix' for Epson + Nova, now with hdmi - Version 3.7.5 - xda-developers is not supported on 2.2.

View 6 Replies View RelatedIssue is that I freeze at any speed over 604 max (via Setcpu). Tried setting higher speeds as a charge profile to see if being triggered would change yet didn't. I have done nothing with advanced menu as I have found nothing posted referencing it netting higher speeds. I am rooted, started with zanfur kernel, switched to a conap kernel (bfsv6), both with same results. Did dalvik wipe (i am running amon ra) then went back to zanfur kernel to try again, same results. What am I missing? If this is just equipment limit then what's the result of flashing a custom Rom with default clocks of 710+++?

View 18 Replies View RelatedOne thing some of you over-clockers may not be aware of is, the over-clocked kernel that you flashed to your DROID is based off of the 2.0 kernel. Some folks are reporting issues again that were present before the 2.0.1 update i.e. crackling audio, LED and keyboard back-lighting dysfunction, etc. Actually, I have yet to experience any of these issues.
This isn't bad news, mind you. Just a little something that we can look forward to as the new & improved kernels become available. I still have high hopes that the official 2.1 release is going to be a very optimized ROM/kernel for our beloved DROID. And when that kernel gets over-clocked.
UPDATE: I have since removed the CompCache from my DROID. I would get reboots when I tried calling anyone.
Milestone Overclock as of version 1.4.3 now officially supports Droid X/2 running 2.2/Froyo. Go download it for FREE from the Market.

Fresh seems to be easily updated and has workign wimax from what i read but it also is still capped at 30fps. just wondering if i can install an uncapped kernel later on or if it all has to be done at the same time.

I searched this forum, and didn't see many if any threads dedicated to only kernels. Am I missing something? Alright, I installed JagerRom 3.2 and I love it. Only problem I have is that there is no gmail app and I don't like the k-9 mail app. Is there any way to get the gmail app back Also, with a custom rom can I still install a hydra kernel? because the undervolted kernel would be nice to install.

I successfully installed Humberos JP2, everything I need works fine and it is rooted, but I cant get 3G connection, my Galaxy Tab is the P1000L from Telcel.
The phone is working fine, WiFi fine, but no 3G.

1. I updated to stock 2.1 using the sprint update tool.
2. I followed the video tutorial to root the phone
3. then i used joey's page (http://www.joeyconway.com/sdx/custom/index.php) to install the his kernel (joeykrim-SDX-kernel v2.0.4 (includes root)).
I have done nothing else to the phone but this and removing a couple of bloatware apps (i checked the list of permitted deletions before i removed anything.) I have not installed a new recovery..at least i dont think that I did as part of one of the other operations I performed (as an aside, i am not really sure what the custom recovery is or what it is used for, so i didnt install it...i guess i need to read up more...)
So that is where I am..but i have a couple of questions.
1) i am now having issues with my wifi connection - the signal reception is very spotty in areas where i should have atleast 2 bars of reception, and the wifi often cuts out completely....Is there any know corellation between joey's kernel and this wifi issue? I have searched the forums and have found nothing that answers this.
2) Is there an easy way to get back to the stock kernel? I have read that i can get back to stock everything by using the sprint download center where I did my original 2.1 update. But is there a way to get back to just the stock kernel without wiping the phone?
