Someone was calling me today and it went to voicemail before I could get answering. When I called them back they said it only rang 5 or 6 times before going to voicemail. Is there a way I can get my phone to ring more times to give me extra time to answer it?

I have a nokia bluetooth car kit that supports voice dialing, my ancient nokia 6230i had voice dialing and I miss it on my wildfire. I see from some other threads that this seems to be an issue. Has there been any update on voice dialing on the lastest wildfire or are there any apps that enable voice dialing?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI changed the voice mail number from *86 (version default) to my Google voice number. This works when I am not answering the phone and I the caller gets connected to my GV account. But when my phone is not in coverage the caller gets my version voice mail. Appreciate if someone can correct my settings or suggest any app that does it. I am from Windows mobile world and missing those settings when you can define several settings for voice mail (unanswered, rejected, unavailable etc...)

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have enjoyed being able to check all my e-mail accounts in one place, so despite having the Yahoo! Mail app that was recently put in the Market, I have been using the stock mail app to check my Yahoo! mail.Last night when I checked my Yahoo! Mail through the stock mail app, I was getting weird error messages. Most of the time it would go ahead and put me in my Yahoo! inbox but there would also be a message saying "login failed." I would click OK and then go about my business because e-mails were coming through. I figured it would sort itself out at some point.This morning, it was still doing it and it was annoying, so I re-booted the phone. Same problem. So I decided to delete the account and re-install it (a few weeks ago I had some issues with my Exchange mail account and deleting then re-installing fixed them.)Now, when I try to re-install the account it says "Authentication failed. Please verify your username/password." I have tried it over and over. I know I am using the right username and password - I just used them on my desktop PC to get into the account. And my Yahoo! Mail app still works on the phone.Anyone have any ideas what has happened and/or how I can fix this? I really want to continue to be able to check my Yahoo! mail on my phone without having to use the Yahoo! app.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've had my phone for a month now (Vodafone in UK) and have pretty well mastered most things except my email.I set up the gmail account as required and access that via an app no problem. The main email account I set up to access my Messenger Live email account. This was a doddle as I just entered my address and password and it set up immediately. I should have known it wouldn't be that simple! It downloads and sends my mail just fine but after a few days all mail disappears so that I have no record of it's ever having been there. It's still all there on my Live account when I log in via my computer.
What am I doing wrong? I've checked every setting I can but no joy and no reference to this problem on any fora.Another clue may be that despite deleting emails I've received on my Wildfire they are still on my Live account as though nothing has happend. Sounds as though it's not syncing properly but what settings can I check?
Hey there, I have a Wildfire and basically Im a gmail user (as in, my email service is primarily provided by google and had been since it launched).
But I hate the gmail app on the wildfire running android, and really like the mail app.
Problem is, Gmail is currently syncd to both and so if Im not at the phone when I recieve a message notification I will recieve two notifications for the same message (one from gmail, one from mail), and then can view it in both apps. in a nutshell, I want to be synced to gmail, using the mail app, and I need to know how to turn off the gmail app, without losing any syncing etc.
I want my Gmail account to stay added so I can sync my emails, but I'm not interested in having every email address I have ever emailed added to my phone contacts! How do I stop this? I have looked under Accounts & Sync > Google > - here it only gives 3 options "Sync calendar", "Sync contacts" and "Sync Google Mail". Under each one it says "Select to sync all" and if I press any of them it just updates & syncs. There is no option to remove the things (contacts) that I would not like synced!

I know im not putting in the wrong email and password, because I logged into my email just perfectly on the computer. And I am NOT connected to wifi when I try to login
I downloaded yahoo mail. It was working fine until this morning. When i tried to login it gave me an error message SSL certificate-check date and time error
Also on the stock email app, does have the ability to add more than one account? I never been in the stock app because it won't let me log in. I would love to continue using yahoo mail (if it ever starts working again) but I only have about 25mb left of memory. And the reason I prefer to use that app instead of the stock email is because it allows to add more than one account.
I have an HTC Wildfire and works perfectly whit the WiFi networks of my friends or the wifi networks at school.But at home i have a modem router Sitecom 54G WL-578. I connect without no problems at the wifi network but i can access Internet or any application like facebook or youtube.

I took RazoDroid ROM which is for Galaxy Fit and SplashMod ROM of Wildfire.
The following are the steps i followed while porting which were guided from here.
1.Extracted boot.img and replaced the kernel from SplashMOD.
2.From the ramdisk changed to init.buzz.rc
3.Repacked kernel.
4.Replaced the following folders/files from SpashMOD

/system/usr/keylayout/

Else the procedure itself is wrong or the ROM can not be ported?
I have HTC Wildfire but sometimes it displays me a Force close error. I am not using a custom rom. It is on Facebook app and the Internet app.

my wildfire is two weeks old. At first friend stream worked. I didn't use it after the first day and now I just keep getting an error message telling me to force close. How did you get around it?

View 9 Replies View RelatedThis is driving me crazy. How do I clear voice mail notifications? Let me explain what I do. Of course the first thing is listening to the voice mail. Then I delete it. The notification is still there. When I open the notifications area I see voice mail pending. It's the same voice mail that I already listened and deleted. I click the voice mail icon and it tells me there is no voice mail. Then I go to settings, calls, and there is an option to clear voice mail notification, but is grayed. I can't do anything there. The only thing I can do is turn the phone off and back on. That is the only way I can clear the notifications area. There should be a better way. Anyone has the same problem?

When I get a new voice mail, there is no alert appearing at all in the "Messages" app on the home screen. Is there a setting somewhere to fix this or perhaps my voice mail is just hosed? Every time I try to dial out there is about 10 seconds of silence followed by beeps and then the message on screen says "Network Status: The network is busy. Please try again later." The problem started this morning and I haven't been able to make any calls since then. I have a great network signal (3-4 bars) and I can check email, surf the web and everything. I am not aware of any update that might have caused this.
